Run from these guys! Called for AAA tow, guy towed car away and then refused delivery without additional money on the side. Absolute scam artists. Already reported to the regulatory agencies. They have a list a mile long of similar complaints. It’s just a matter of time before there contract is pulled.

They picked up my Tesla after a pothole caused a tire to blowout. Super courteous staff, very attentive. I would HIGHLY recommend and I am picky.

My mom was in town visiting and her car battery died. Walter from Smittys was at our house within 10 mins of her calling AAA. He replaced her battery and ensured she was ready for the drive home. Super helpful and just a great guy. Keep up the great work Walter!Service: Battery service

Price gouging feels like an understatement for this one. Totaled a car, and had no choice to hand over my car or pay a ridiculous storage fee. I have little doubt they’re making money hand over fist with this kinda tactic. Would not use again if given the choice

Awful business practice, stealing people cars they know can't afford to get them out of there impound absolutely deplorably. They have no sympathy, they don't care all they want is your money. They will screw you over.

My scooter broke down a couple miles out of town. Called Smitty's and they arrived within 15 minutes. Dispatch asked if I was safe and advised me to move off the road if possible. Luis arrived and loaded up my cycle and delivered it to the shop where I get it worked on. It was a stressful situation. Smitty's made it easier, and for a fair price.

I locked my keys in my car, I have roadside assistance with Geico. Contacted Geico and they scheduled it, with Smittys. I was told 45-60 mins, after about 75 mins I called Smitty's, they told me the truck was enroute to me and would be there within 15 mins after waiting 2 hours!!! I once again contacted Smittys and they told me it would be another 60-90 mins!! Are you kidding me now it is almost three hours later and no truck. I called Oliveras and they arrived in under 30 mins.What a joke Smittys is .NEVER use them!! They were rude, unprofessional and flat-out lied to me about the truck was on its way. I was about 15-20 mins away from their location and they just had to unlock my door WTH?? THE ABSOLUTE WORST TOWING COMPANY STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM3 HOURS SITTING ON THE CURB WAITING FOR SMITTYSNEVER AGAIN.. I WILL BREAK MY WINDOW TO GET IN THE CAR BEFORE USING SMITTYS

All I can say is according to State Farm Insurance, who handles my roadside assistance, Smitty's along with other tow companies, refused to do any tows on Sunday. I guess they decided we should have picked a better day to have a fuel pump go bad.We sat stranded from 1-6pm, 6 miles from home, and thankfully reached friends, who were able to come out and tow us.So unlike a good neighbor, neither State Farm nor Smitty's was there. I don't know if State Farm is at fault for contracting with unreliable companies, or if the companies just refuse to work on Sundays, all I know is Smitty's and apparently other companies chose not to tow us.

I had them come and pick up my suv due to my Nissan had recalls on it and wasn’t starting. The tow truck came to my place and called me I informed him that the key was in the cup holder and the driver side was unlocked due to me having to be at work. I informed him that it needs to go to Nissan in Santa Maria service department. Well I didn’t think anything and I called the next day to get an update on my vehicle the lady on the phone said she didn’t think my vehicle was there because she couldn’t locate it. She said she would call me back well she called me back 30 mins later saying she walked around the parking lot and she found my car the door was unlocked and my key was in the cup holder. She said that none of the staff was informed about my car being delivered the way she was talking it seemed that the tow trucker driver just went and just dropped it off without saying anything to anybody and just left. I’m so disappointed ☹️ that this happened because something could have happened to my ?.Service: Car towing
