This place is ridiculous got given an expensive bottle of cologne for my birthday had it sitting in the box for 2 months it leaked out when I called they made me jump thru hoops so I just hung up and threw away the bottle ridiculous you guys treat customers like that who spend ridiculous amount of money for a product better off buying direct from dior

Ulta does not value customer satisfaction and employs subpar hair stylists. Elizabeth, a stylist at Ulta cut 6 inches off my hair instead of the 1 inch I asked her to. I couldn't tell because she cut it off the back not the front. I had below shoulder length hair and she ended up giving me an uneven bob with an uneven 5 inch layer of hair that looks like a mullet. In this day an age a bad hair cut can sometimes be temporarily corrected with extensions. Elizabeth and Ulta management opted to give me a refund rather than correct the damage done with extensions. An ethical, skilled stylist and business establishment will go above and beyond to provide customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, Elizabeth lacks the ethics and skill required to provide satisfactory services and Ulta simply does not care to. Seeing is believing, just look at the photos I've provided.

Ulta is awesome! Everyone is very friendly and accomidating. Ulta always has great sales and you can earn points! One stop shop for beauty products and a hair salon. Now they just need pedicures and massage! I would never leave!

You know, I promised myself some time ago that I would not post any more 'one star' reviews...but then something terrible happens. Ulta is terrible, well actually, their customer service is terrible. We have a "Ulta Beauty" credit card that we use here at the store and online for orders, but recently we've had problems with the card, and their customer service folks don't care! Or they lie to you or they are incapable of doing their jobs properly. Not sure which is true. First we had a problem with a late payment charge. We called the credit card company and discussed the issue with their customer rep, and she assured us that no fee would be charged. We'd sent the full payment to them in plenty of time for it to arrive, but the mail swallowed it for about 10 days...when it finally arrived, it was "late" and we were charged a penalty after being assured that we would not. Then more recently we discovered two fraudulent charges on our account made by some crook somewhere. After initiating a claim with Ulta the first charge (a lower amount) was forgiven, but the second criminal action was not forgiven. It was for $140 to AirB&B and they said that charge was "examined" or researched or whatever, and then denied. Please understand, dear readers, NOBODY in our entire family has ever used AirB&B nor have we traveled anywhere in the last 2-plus years because of the pandemic. Maybe Ulta uses a third party credit company to run their credit card business, but even if they do that does not matter. It is all still the same company, and the bottom line is that the Ulta credit card sucks. Their customer service process is unfair and idiotic, and the people are impossible to deal with. Don't ever get their credit card and don't bother calling customer service because they won't believe you and they won't help you.

Empathy in a situation when you have a much anticipated event is important in beauty service, Ulta Beauty lacked that in the way they handled a last minute cancellation.On the day of our event we got a call from Kat saying the only hair stylist for the appointment called in sick. Thats understandable, it happens with the times we are in, but when we tried to let them know it couldn't be rescheduled due to the event happening today. Kat instantly became defensive and her words and tone were hugely insulting. We then tried to ask if we still had our eyelashes appointment, but then we were hung up on! There was not even an apology during the conversation, which would make the news go down easier. We called back to respectfully share our thoughts on how we were treated and there was just silence from Kat, she can dish out disrespect, but can't handle being called out for it.Please be aware that some people at this business think of you as dirt to step on so they can just get to the end of the day.

Just thought I'd write a quick review. The Lompoc store, and staff are AWESOME! Every time my son and I go in, we are treated with respect, kindness lots of smiles and classy customer service. I mean, EVERYTIME! All the young ladies and men that help us are always so knowledgeable, and professional always making wonderful suggestions. I have never felt like I have been watched or made to feel uncomfortable at all. We have gotten suggestions on hair products, cologne, perfumes and Makeup. Their salon did a beautiful job on my sons hair. He was super pleased! They're all great at what they do, and it shows(You can really tell they love what they do). I love going to this store and always leave happy and feeling nice about the products I have purchased. I must not forget, this is one of the cleanest and most organized stores I have been to and I have been to a few. You will be pleased with the staff and your shopping experience. Give the Lompoc store a go. A true class act, no joke.Thanks Lompoc store for making me and my sons shopping experiences, just that, and great experience. You guys ROCK! You have customers for life.

I went into the store to grab some eyeliner from Morphe really quick with my friend. We were next in line and the line was long with only one cashier. Another person came to help and said, "The next person in line, please". We were next so we went to the other cashier, and another lady cut right in front of us and the cashier said nothing. We said "Excuse me, we are next." He still said nothing, and then look at us, ignored us, and then started cashing the lady out. We complained, but they said there been two lines the whole time. When we were there when there was only one cashier. So lying as well to top it off. This is the 2nd time it has happened. This is NOT okay. They need to pay attention, and have better customer service.

So we went this is Ulta store to check out some things and while our time there we were being ask so many times the same question over and over again sometimes even by the same person and the kept on following us and it made us really uncomfortable and then one of them who kept on asking us the same question was asking us if me and my friend came to the store last week (keep in mind she was a white lady with blond hair) and we told her no we came like 2 weeks ago and then she tried to accuse us of stealing a Marc Jacobs perfume and a bronzer pallet keep in mind she was asking me and my other friend (we're both white passing) and we were with our other friend who hasn't been out the whole summer cause she wasn't able too and then she started accusing and saying that is was my other friend who hasn't been out all summer which doesn't make any sense since she was blaming us and she tried to threaten us saying that they caught us on camera and she also had the audacity to call my white passing friend honey and saying she was blaming her and was RACIALLY PROFILING my friend and we got so uncomfortable and left that place

Ulta has a terrible customer service policy. So many times, sales are mis-labeled and incorrectly represented. And the associates never makes things right. No wonder this place is getting shut down.
