Excellent service and really great deals for contact d glass perscriptions...the store manager, front desk and employees were all really nice! What more can you ask for!

Very bad customer service! I was less than 6 minutes late when I walked in the office there was three staff members sitting around the front desk and they said they have to reschedule my appointment because I was 5 minutes late. My appointment was scheduled for 4:30 p.m. I walked in at 4:36 not to mention I was calling from parking lot because I could not find the location which was at 4: 32 and he was already telling me I had to reschedule. I had even completed my online registration prior to coming to my appointment. The staff explained that the doctor was with a patient and has another one waiting already but since I was 6 minutes late they could not see me. I explained if I was here 5 minutes early you would have took me but I would have had to wait almost another hour till the doctor finished both of those patients and that was okay though. I would not recommend anyone using this location because they're concerned wasn't the patient it was to finish and go home. Not to mention one of the gentlemen wad the supervisor and he handled the situation very poorly.

The receptionist were good.The technician and the optometrist neither did introduce themselves, which as a Dr. I found it very unprofessional, I will not go back there and give them one star which they deserve.

Glasses are not good quality. I’m constantly cleaning the lens because it smudges quite a bit. While I was in the store being told that my insurance (that cost extra) only allowed one repair ( this is the second break), another customer had brought back back both pair of her glasses. She had similar complaints as I did I and he asked if she were diabetic or had high blood pressure. He tried to blame it on her medical condition as to why she couldn’t see out of her glasses. He told her she had to spray clean them and she told him she never had any issues with her last pair purchased elsewhere. Never will I purchase from here again. They have the bait and switch going on here. Be careful

I come here first for all my glasses and contact needs! The staff is professional and super nice and always helpful! I was going to pay cash until they asked me if I had insurance to cover the contacts. Lo and behold my insurance covers contacts ?! This is America’s best!

I'm a repeat customer for my exams and eyeglasses due to the excellent care and service from the Doctor and optical staff. I recommend this facility for professional, reasonably priced, and convenient eye care services. Aldo was especially helpful.

On August 21, 2023, I had the displeasure of meeting optometrist Seraphim Manio at America's Best located in Torrance 19800 Hawthorne Blvd. Mr. Manio was very curt, unprofessional, and lacked the basic client/doctor mannerism one would expect during an appointment. I am a nurse and I am very familiar with interacting with patients, clients, and doctors. Mr. Manio assessed my 11year old Niece's eyes for a few minutes, then said she needed glasses, then told us to head to the front to get help. I was stunned. It felt like a doctor walking into your room, listens to your heart, tells you you need surgery, then walks out. Mr. Manio gave absolutely no explanation of my Niece's problems with her vision, what he found during his assessment, his recommendations, nor explanation of her prescription. I was stunned with the lack of information given. When I asked what were the issues with my Niece's eyesight, Mr. Manio gave me a look that read he was annoyed and irritated. His reply was very rude and brief leaving me with very little insight concerning my Niece's vision. Needless to say, the service I received from Mr. Seraphim Manio was NOT America's Best. I hope Mr. Manio's behavior is not indicative of what to expect with this company. If so, I will not spend another dollar of my hard earned money at this location or this company. - Very unhappy, dissatisfied customer

I was here the America’s Best bc my boyfriend introduced me, at first I was not impressed. After a purchased a pair of glasses, I have to returned with my concerns of glasses are still flurring. Then the staff took action re exam my eyes then make sure I am doing well, then my glasses was fixed. Again, Thank you to you all staff for taking action to done your business as well.

All of the staff is attentive, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The wait time was very short and there's a large selection of frames to choose from. I've never worn glasses for my entire life (other than sunglasses) so I appreciated the insight the staff had to share about the types of lenses I needed. I'm very happy and pleased but if there is any room for improvement, I would suggest explaining the prices in more detail. The "membership" for one year is not required but it is assumed when you purchase glasses with your exam. I would've liked to only pay the regular exam price of $59.99 and then later decided if I wanted to buy the frames here, or elsewhere. Of course I did have that option but with no experience on how prescriptions work, I would've liked to have all of my options presented to me upfront. Either way, I'm satisfied with the 2 pairs of glasses I bought... $200 something dollars later.

I've been to 3 different locations and this location is now my home location. I had my annual checkup yesterday and went as smooth as it can be. I'm very big on customer service and etiquette. The people working that day were exceptional in their customer service. Shoutout to Aldo, who was one of the first to greet me when I entered along the receptionist who confirmed my appointment who's name I forgot. But she and Aldo were very courteous and personable. One of the things that stood out to me during my visit was that they were not over bearing. They allowed me to look at the various frames they had and stood by in case I had questions. They were VERY patient, because I did take a while choosing the glasses I wanted. Once I did, Steph, one of their Opticians made everything at ease. She answered all of my questions, clarified more than once on what options I wanted for my glasses to make sure we were on the same page, which I really appreciated. She even asked Aldo to clarify that everything on paper matched in their system before everything was processed, which is a great quality control practice. I cannot express how much I was impressed by those 3 employees. I just wish I remembered the other girls name! Thank you to those employees, keep up the great work!
