UPDATE: ISSUE RESOLVEDAs promised I am updating my review upon positive and timely proaction by the Amli team. After my last review and complaint about a recurring water issue it has finally been addressed and fully taken care of by the Amli team. I am very happy with the outcome and am grateful to everyone involved. I can finally wash my dishes in hot sink water! That was the only issue I have had living here and now it’s resolved. I am still waiting for a credit I was told I’d get for the trouble but I trust they will get that credit back hopefully soon. Thanks to the Amli team, I am very happy being a resident.—————————————————Old review: November 30, 2023I didn’t want to do this but I am so frustrated. I have lived here for five months and I DO NOT GET HOT WATER In my kitchen sink! Half the time I don’t get it in my bathroom sink. I have called maintenance multiple times regarding this issue. Fidel is always quick to respond to my maintenance requests but in regards to the constant water complaint I always get the same response, “I don’t get hot water either so it’s not only you.” That answer does not make me feel better. I am paying over $3,000/mo plus utilities for this apartment. And at this point it is beyond Fidel, management needs to step in and take this seriously. I am having to wash my dishes in my bathtub IN A LUXERY APARTMENT. I have to laugh to keep from crying.One month ago I sent yet another email to the office complaining about this and Alex sent the maintenance manager Albert to my apartment to check for himself. He comes in, sees for himself I don’t get hot water, tells me it’s because I’m on the top floor there is a “delay” in getting hot water, tells me he’ll throw in a $20 credit and leaves. Haven’t heard anything from anyone.Let me clarify, This is not a “delay”, I DO NOT get hot water at all in the kitchen sink. I’ve tested running the water on blast for twenty minutes and it doesn’t get hot. I’ve talked to multiple top floor neighbors and they say their water gets hot with no problem. To add insult to injury I pay higher rent for being on the top floor, yet management is telling me the top floor gets water slower?I do love living here, but there is something about bad service that puts an impenetrably bad taste in one’s mouth. In the lease, lack of hot water is listed as an essential and critical priority, yet I’ve dealt with this ongoing for five months to no avail. I hope this gets to the asset manager of this property.If and when this issue gets resolved I will update my review rating. If I haven’t updated my review, that means this issue still has not been addressed.

I’m new to Long Beach but immediately realized there are many apartment buildings in the area. Some even look just as nice and have similar amenities to the AMLI. Co-workers warned me that the true distinguishing characteristic among the buildings is the service, which is one of the most difficult aspects to evaluate when trying to decide where to move.Does management promptly return calls? Are they responsive to security concerns? Does the maintenance team address issues satisfactorily? I’ve found AMLI is impressive in all these areas, but where they truly hit it out of the park is with their maintenance team.Last night I submitted a request via their incredibly easy to use app to look at some minor plumbing issues in my bathroom. By this morning, Fidel was at my door with a stocked tool cart, in uniform, masked, and equipped with shoe covers to not dirty my floors. He also fixed a loose cabinet door and entrance handle, which I only noticed later.Fidel completely exceeded my expectations by giving me tips on the use of the stove, furniture placement to maximize the sunlight, and even made we aware of some common areas that I didn’t remember existed. He was pleasant and professional. He made me feel like he truly loves his job and understands customer service.ADDENDUM: The above is my original review and it remains accurate, however, I feel compelled to add that I received a bit of an unpleasant surprise months after moving out. Despite having the apartment professionally cleaned before I moved out (my employer provides this as a bonus), meticulously maintaining it, hanging absolutely nothing on the walls, AMLI charged me hundreds of dollars to repaint and get it ready for the next tenant. They said it’s a standard charge that comes out of your security deposit regardless of how clean and “move-in” ready it is left. They also charged me utilities and fees for months after the lease was terminated, although after several email exchanges, they refunded those charges. I imagine these practices are instituted by corporate and beyond the control of the local property managers, but my advice is to read the fine print carefully, especially sections about fees and charges levied upon moving out. In my opinion, that “make ready” charge should be described as a fee and not taken from the security deposit, which misleadingly leaves one with the mistaken perception that it is fully refundable if the apartment is left in good condition (minus normal wear and tear), but that was absolutely not the case.

I just moved to Long Beach in February, and AMLI was the last apartment complex I looked at. I had “settled” on another but something told me to look at this place, and I’m glad I did! It’s beautiful, the amenities are amazing, the complex is very well maintained, and the staff is top tier. Fidel from maintenance is great. All the reviews of him are true! He was nice enough to help me take a look at my car after I clumsily ran over the median in the parking garage, and alerted me to a preexisting problem I didn’t know I had! Besides that, he’s very nice and always greets me.There is another young lady named Daisy who is a part of the maintenance team as well, and she is so sweet and I always see her working so hard! She gives me a bright and cheery welcome every time I see her.Management is great as well. I have dealt mostly with Alex and Brittany and they are polite, and do a great job of addressing any concerns or questions I’ve had. They even call me when I accidentally leave my aftermarket lights on on my car!Overall this apartment has been a joy to live in!

Moved out after 2.5 years here. Updating my review. If you'd like to live around loud neighbors that don't follow the local Long Beach laws, this is the place for you. It was great the first year here then it quickly went downhill. I feel bad for the maintenance staff and most of the front office staff as they were all great. In our 2.5 years here we dealt with: multiple off leash dogs attacking our dogs that were on leash, multiple homeless people hopping the fence and enjoying our patio or somehow working out in the gym. Neighbors letting their dogs piss and shit anywhere they please and not picking up after them. Horrible god awful neighbors in the hallways at all hours of the night on the phone loudly, letting their kids run up and down the hallways, or letting their doodles or small rat dogs bark on the balconies for hours on end, ESPECIALLY early in the morning or while you're working from home. The straw that broke the camels back for us was the 4,000 month rent while 50 feet away a homeless person was in the back alley smoking crack. All in all, I wish we would have moved out here after this first year, my review would have stayed the same!

My wife and I stayed at the AMLI Park Broadway for ~~3yrs. The overall experience has been great. As the comments say, the staff is sympathetic, and the building is well maintained.However, a few events irritated us (especially when it was time for us to leave the apartment...):- 6 months before leaving AMLI, we asked to extend our lease for 2 months. Unfortunately, the only offer we received from AMLI was a month-to-month lease going from 2.4k in 2021 to 4k in June 2023 (66% increase...). When you have good tenants for more than 2yrs, I don't believe that is the right way to treat them... As we didn't get any other option, we accepted the offer.- A few weeks ago, AMLI decided to close their leasing office on Sundays. Again, I don't believe it is the right moment to close a leasing office as most move ins, move outs, and visits are done during the weekends... We moved out on a Sunday and the leasing office refused to block the elevator + to lend their trolleys because of that...- Nothing to do with our move out but we were also really annoyed by all the alarm testing / errors done in the buildings. It looks like it has been better for the last 2-3 months. Fire alarms in the middle of the night without any communications and/or apologies the next days is unacceptable...Because of these frustrations, we will not go for another lease with AMLI anymore.However, as said above, the overall experience @AMLI has been great and we have no regret about our move 3 yrs ago...

AMLI provides excellent property management. The property is well kept and any issues reported are quickly addressed. The management provides secure premises for residents and have periodic residential community events. The maintenance team is also very responsive, friendly staff and efficient.

The Leasing Office is a pleasure to work with. I worked with Alex and Eduardo from the start of my tour through move-in day. They are great, so friendly, and so helpful. The move-in process was so streamlined and so easy. I couldn't be more thankful for their guidance!

Living at AMLI has been a great experience so far. Friendly environment, good amenities and perks! Staff is professional and accommodating. I love that it’s literally off the freeway and close to so many good eating spots! Considering it’s in downtown, it’s on the quiet side which I love! I also love the rooftop pool!!

The most important thing I love about living here for almost 4 years, is the maintenance staff. Fidel responds almost immediately and takes care of things quickly and looks around for other things that may need fixing. For instance he fixed my stove clock and I didn't realize the unit could be replaced. That was on top of the 3 other things I requested. All of the maintenance staff are friendly as well and keeps the place very clean. I've enjoyed my stay here!

Living at the Amli Park Broadway for the last 2 years has been the best move I've ever made....downtown Long Beach is full of life and you won't and can't be lonely or feel alone living at the Amli Park Broadway.....and it's the most well maintained building in downtown Long Beach...I wake up every morning to Daisy and Johnathon and Jeraldo cleaning every inch of the building to make it feel like a 5 star property. The property is maintained impeccably headed up by Arturo and his team....including Fidel....who is a rock star in this building and watches out and cares for everyone as they are his own family...Arturo and Fidel constantly maintain the property to its highest standard. I am happy and proud to live at the Amli Park Broadway....The Building management and leasing staff are always on hand to help with anything their Tenants need without hesitation. Albert and Michael do a great job behind the scenes to make sure the Tenants come first and feel cared about..and well, I can't say enough about our Eduardo and Alex who are the leading specialists...always, smiling and happy and ready to attend to whatever is needed to help make your living experience here the best it can be....I think I'll be staying for another year or more....I've met the nicest people along my way of living in this melrose place, easy living, perfect place for me...home!!! Thank you to the entire Amli Park Broadway Team!!!
