Through Drizly I ordered a couple of bottles of wine to be sent to my son and his fiancé to celebrate their engagement. They are in California and I live in New Jersey. Ruby’s Liquor was the business I chose to deliver the gift and I’m so glad I did. They took my gift note, hand wrote it on a large piece of paper and delivered it with the wine. It’s been difficult not being able to travel and celebrate together with family but this special act has made it a little easier. I’m sending a big “thank you” to Ruby’s Liquor for their extra special effort.

The liquor store is kind of run down, and some of the product looks old. They tend to have some older issues of newspapers sometimes, in case you missed a particular one, and they get some funky t-shirts in from time to time. They encourage you to play the lottery. Supposedly, they've had lots of winners there, based on the tickets they've got plastered around the counter. It is apparently run by an Asian couple, the husband always intones "Lucky Lotto" when you approach the counter. All fine and dandy. The wife, however, has told people, in front of me, that they can't redeem winning lottery tickets unless they were purchased there. I believe that is illegal as far as state Lottery rules. This attitude made me scratch them off my list.
