Carpenter Performing Arts Center is a beautiful venue on a university campus, praised as a great place to see a show. The theater presents quality and wonderful musicals, comedy, and other events, with performances described as just as good as Broadway. The small house ensures clear views from every seat, including the last row. Acoustics are generally good, though some note the sound system could use an upgrade, citing occasional distortion. The comfortable chairs are also noted as worn out, squeaky, and sagging, with the layout making access to middle seats a challenge. Parking is plentiful and easy for a fee, with a shuttle sometimes provided. The interior feels a bit dated, but the center is filled with pleasant staff and interesting memorabilia, creating a great setting for an engaged and understanding audience.
First time here. A great setting for the Buddy Holly show. The audience was great too, mostly silver haired fans of rock n roll, young at heart. And a nice bonus experience taking the shuttle from parking lot, provided by theater to accommodate the construction.

Carpenter Performing Arts Center! Richard dedicated the theatre to his sister Karen and performed there and quality shows fill the hall.
