It’s inside the credit union NOT the Chipotle like the map makes it seem. The staff was very helpful and polite showing me the machine and cashing me out. They do take ~11% of the total though unless you open an account with the bank, Orange County Credit Union, so you do have to turn down the offer from the bank for starting a new account. I think normal Coinstars take less than 11% but I could be wrong.

My husband went to this Vons on Monday, April 6th to purchase some groceries and one of the items he purchased was a 2 lbs piece of salmon. I took this salmon out to cook 2 days later, on April 8th and it had a very foul smell which was not the "fishy" smell. I've cooked salmon many times and have never smelled that smell so I knew it was a bad piece of fish. Therefore I tossed it out and my husband later called the store and spoke to the manager, Jordan to advise him about the bad fish. Jordan asked us to bring the fish back to the store and to ask for him "Jordan". It was already late in the evening and because Jordan wanted us to take the fish back, I had to dig it out of my trash, put it in multiple plastic bags for my husband to get it to the store the next day. My husband did just that, brought it back to the store but before entering the store, he called to speak with the manager, Jordan to let him know he was coming in to bring the bad fish and to prevent causing a scene and, for limited interaction with anyone due to COVID-19. Jordan basically brushed my husband off by telling him to come into the store and "any" associate could help him, knowing his approval will be needed to exchange or return anything. As instructed, my husband went into the store with the bad fish bagged in hand and was told to go to the meat section to exchange it by another associate. The meat dept associate was very helpful and exchanged it without a problem. Due to the other salmon at the store not looking too fresh either, my husband decided to exchange it for tuna steaks instead. The price was not matched to that amount originally paid for the salmon, as the salmon was $26 and the Tuna steaks were $23. Since there was a $3 difference, my husband got some vegetables to make up the difference. After obtaining these items, he went to the register to exchange these items and pay the difference (if any). The associate obviously was unable to help him without approval from the manager and did not understand that the fish he had brought back cost more than the fish he obtained the second time having to give my husband a credit which was to be applied to the vegetables, so before calling the manager, there was discussion back and forth about the exchange and the problem fish he brought back to the store that he had already given to the associate at the meat dept, and the credit he was entitled to which then had to be applied to the other groceries he obtained. Finally, the manager was called over (while all that time the manager, Jordan was standing on the next cashier) most likely hearing what was going on but never bothered to come over and help clear the issue. After being called, he eventually came over to help process the exchange. He then requested that my husband fill out a piece of paper with his name and contact information. Right now that we are order to stay away from other individuals by at least 6ft and to be sent to multiple associates and then asked to fill out a sheet of paper for the simple exchange to be done, the way this manager handled things I would say is against city guidelines and was very, very unnecessary. Instead of being helpful for selling bad fish and almost getting my family sick during this pandemic when everyone is best staying away from a medical facility, Jordan made this process much more difficult than what it had to be. Not only did he put us at risk of getting food poisoning, but he was very unprofessional during this process. There are better ways to handle these types of situations Jordan and you know that the way you handled this was not ok. Much better service is expected from a manager at a grocery store!

Long lines always, cashiers are nice but always have to wait forever. Get new management.

Always long waits, not that friendly, and will wait in said long lines to get cash back and then notice a ghetto handwritten sign on the card machine that says no cash. Great... Also, the last time I came I bought 2 bags' worth of groceries and only brought 1 reusable bag. I clearly told them I'd purchase a second bag. Nope, the bagger shoved all my fruits and produce in the one bag (must've been like 20-30 lbs due to a lot of cans and heavy items I was purchasing) and then handed me my 6-egg carton to CARRY. How are you an adult working as a bagger and don't realize that doesn't work for someone? I guess next time I need to be more specific, but it was the weirdest bagging experience I've had in my adult life. They also always have carts all over the gym lot and the people begging in the area are aggressive and not very polite. I only go because it is convenient.

Seems like most of the negatives reviews at this location is because of the long lines and not enough open checkout lanes. I don't really have a problem with much else aside from the occasional long lines, but those are usually only during peak hours, and maybe late at night. They're open until 12a.m which is nice and have occasional good sales on what I look for when I go to a grocery store (chicken thighs, chips, ground turkey, ice cream). It's in a popular area in a big city so I understands there's people outside that beg for money. My biggest complaint really are the long lines, but I don't know why else it would get lower than 3 stars.

I love that this location is opened late.... but it does get SUPER busy, whether it be 2 lanes open or 5... But I feel like this is the case for most grocery stores during the 5pm rush. As the other reviews say, there are always people begging for money outside :/ I know times are hard, and sometimes I try to help by buying something from the store to give it to them, but the ones I have encountered are not grateful and only want your money. Honestly, I just want to go in and go grocery shopping and not feel like my safety is in any danger. I've been going to this location for the past 10 years and most of the workers there has been super friendly, and there are a handful that who are unhappy to be there. The plus side to this Vons is that there is a Starbucks inside this location .... so if you don't want to wait in the fat line across the street, go to the Starbucks inside for a much shorter wait.

I been coming here for 20 plus years and not much has change. The deli is the worst around. I rather get out of my way to go the Ralph on pch and second than to endure the lack of customer service/consideration from the employees here. I spoken several times with different managers (which they seemed very concerned and attentive) to bring up the issues (lack of staff, no consideration between staff members, rudeness towards each other and customers, not properly trained, lack of leadership). I stopped shopping there since my last experience this past August at the deli. I only stop in for the bank now, I will take my loyal money where I'm treated with respect

Typically have no issues with Vons, the other day had the rudest cashier who wasted 20minutes of my life because he couldn't scan an ID to sell liquor... it was a real ID, I told him to scan it again or type it in manually and he was no help. After waiting for over 20 minutes had to have a friend scan her ID and then he sold it to me.

I don't know how people are not satisfied, there's groceries and the staff is friendly. Especially Rodney, he is the man.

DISGUSTING! This store always has meats cheese and produce that should NOT be on the shelves. It's been this way for years. I live walking distance to this Vons but I always drive to the Ralph's that is a little further and a little more expensive. Bologna with opened packages and discolored meat, old rotten avocados where the inside is gone and black. This is completely the fault of the management. Clearly the store manager NEVER makes rounds to check the products. The avocados have been this way for 2 weeks. The spoiled bologna since the last time i had to go to this store. There is no excuse at all for this. Skip this place and go to Ralph's close by. Much better kept produce.

I have to agree with the others. The only Reason I come here is for Starbucks. The employees there are very kind. Today the women in the fast check with the bandage on her forehead was very rude. Her facial expression and body language for starters, Bad energy. I'll stick to Starbucks.

Second time in a month that they did not charge the sales price advertised. Make sure you double check everything to make sure you are not overcharged as the prices they discount do not add up to what the discounted price should be after you give your club card info at the register.
