My girlfriend and I went here once sometime in 2022 to check out what they had in the shop but as soon as we entered the store, none of the guys working even acknoweldged our presence. I was browsing and checking out some of the graphic t-shirts and snapback and trucker hats and still no one offered or asked if we needed help. Initially I thought we were being ignored because we're both women, but if other people including men are experiencing the same bad or non-existant customer service from this place, then that says a lot to me. This one star review is for their non-existant customer service we experienced. The products they sell are cool and they offer a lot of variety as far as skate(board) goods go though. Just don't expect any greetings or offers of help when you enter.

I came by this shop as I was waiting on some other shop next door and the customer service was beyond amazing. They helped my son curate his custom board and walked him though the whole process and even allowed him to safely participate in the set up and it just blew my mind how welcomed the staff made me and my son feel. I’m so grateful for shops like this I will be retuning for any skateboard related purchases. Thank you so much for making my sons day and truly listening to him. Also there is a cool fella outside the shop who sells a great variety of blues I got a cd of big mama Thornton years ago and it was amazing. Cash only for this specific fella but he Has good stuff.

the store is feels very unorganized and i know it’s not that crazy bc it’s a skate shop but still. also this is the main issue i had. The employee working at the time was on the phone when i walked in and i was waiting to ask him about stuff for 15+ minutes and he’d completely act like i wasn’t there.

I had bought 2 skateboard decks from this place. I had came in within my 30 days with receipt & the plastic saran wrap still over the decks to get a refund or a even exchange. I was told that their was nothing they could be done for me. Which I found to be completely unprofessional considering the manager couldn't even have the decency to come out and tell me himself. What a bunch of con artists. If I could give zero stars, I would. Will definitely be going to LB Skate or The Pharmacy in the future! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!

It has always been a very small skate shop. A few boards, a few merch, a few shoes and thats it. I'm actually surprised it's still there. Pretty cool. Sigh... it's definitely been a long 7 years since I stepped in there. Probably head down soon.

Avoid this place and go to Long Beach skate shop. Literally every time I walk in your presence is not even acknowledged just a couple of Stoner dudes on their phones. Just left there and I am pretty sure that the owner himself looked right at me and didn't even say hello. How your doors are still open with such nonexistent customer service is beyond me. Like I said just go to Long Beach skate shop because they're much cooler and friendlier and at the very least acknowledge the fact that you walked into their store.

Came in for some skate bearings. The dude working was helpful and answered questions. He asked if I was interested in a board and I just may be back to look at their selection again. The Bones swiss bearings I got were priced lower here than on Amazon, so as always, check your local shops first. Cheers.

I bought this #hookup at east 4th I rode it one time at the beach very mildly , the whole first layer appeared to be torn off , before I even put 1 scratch on the board , when I called the store to ask about the board some kid answered rudely saying they don't sell these board and it was a one time selection as a mom and pop shop I was glad to help and support , after voicing my concerns today about the boards or type of board they are selling dude just said they sold me a defective board and didn't know what to tell me from there Iv been skating for years and never had a poor board of any kind break down like this on the first ride , boards are board , but people are people and deserve respect after spending hard work money on something the customers service just hung up on me but unlike people we change and grow just like my money that will never go back into a shop like this ,keep in mind this isn't the first time I had a bad experience I often go to skate shops to look at apparel I went in one time looking to buy some t-shirts and as soon as I walked in I guess some new SB had dropped that day and the associated greeted me with a don't even ask about the shoes remark and made me feel uncomfortable to even look around ,it's really not about the board it's how you treat customers I'll be happy to never go here again buyers beware and proceed with caution

Products and prices suck. Just buy from Craigslist or online store

Don't bother coming here. Easily worse skate shop in SoCal. Rude customer service. They make it as if they're doing you a favor by selling to you. Plenty of better skate shops in Long Beach. I bought 5 hook ups boards and they handed me 4 before I left. Good thing I checked and double counted my boards before walking out that door.

The workers here are really rude and not helpful at all. I was the only person in the store (not surprised since the boys that work here don't care about their job) and the one guy that was there didn't want to help me find a pair of shoes, and when I asked for a price for some shoes he was like "there isn't a price tag on them" no that's what why I'm asking you what's the price. The boys that work here are literally lazy af.

Stopped by to get some pants for my son for Xmas. I was only person in shop, mentioned it was for my kid and guy was helpful showing different colors. Turns out I got wrong length, so went to exchange today and got a surly "no exchange, no returns.... see the sign by the register?" Well no, as a matter of fact I hadn't or I wouldn't have bought a present here. Lame

Wow!!!! So I just recently moved here in September and I told myself I would pick up long boarding. Today I went to a couple stores. The first one I went to wasn't east 4th street. It was cool store but I’m a person who cares about the welcoming vibe I get from a store and I’m more inclined to buy when I get that feeling. The first store was nice but I didn’t feel like I had the staffs full attention and help and I ended up leaving there. I then went to East 4th skate and wow! Immediately after walking in I was warmly greeted and felt at home. Since I’m new to boarding I wanted a little guidance in regards to what type of board I should get and what not. All my questions were answered and more. I felt like I was talking to friends who cared about me and truly wanted me to find the best option and not just make a buck off of me. I ended up getting a board custom made and I couldn’t be any happier about the board and getting to ride it. If you are looking for a place to go, do yourself a favor and head to EAST 4th SKATE. Daniel and Casey were awesome!
