First time visit during 2024 Kwanzaa celebration. WOW! Who knew Long Beach had such an engaging dynamic art scene of Black artists! Painters, crafters, all had their works on display. Given the diversity of Long Beach there may also be displays of art from other Melanated people, and others, too. That night I was focused on the Black artists. Still, the variety of artists and art mediums was impressive. Once again, a treasure. A rare gem in Long Beach. It reminds me of the William Grant Still Arts Center in LA. Worth the 30 minutes drive from LA. When you go, buy something. Enhance your home with original art. Support local artists!

On first Fridays in Long Beach, you can always find a large variety of artists showing their work at the expo arts center on Atlantic Avenue. Drinks are available for purchase so you can sip and visit at the same time.

There is also the African American culture center of Long Beach inside that building which is actually where I went to visit but there's all kinds of art and stuff for the expo art center.

This is a fantastic community space, an excellent way to utilize and repurpose a closed department store into a people-gathering space for youth and non-profit Musuem, and art organizations.

Great venue for fund raising, day camps and receptions. Friendly and very helpful folk that run the place. Not a tremendous amount of parking.

Nice location in Bixby Knolls. We attended a Career Fair as exhibitors. The location holds lots of community events.
