Went to Gelsons yesterday to just pick up a russet potato to bake. All of the potatoes looked like they had been sitting there for a long time. When I took my purchase to the cash register I found out why: $1.99 a Pound !!!!! Not even an overpriced Organic Potato... Just a run of the mill Russet! Let me repeat this: A Dollar-Ninety Nine a pound! Even the clerk at the Register couldn't keep a straight face when she rang it up.... I mean I know their prices are insanely high but atleast offer a quality looking product!!! Who shops for groceries at this rip-off store?

Don't get their noodles, specially the spicy Thai pasta, they always taste like they're about to get spoiled. They always have mountains of them, I'm sure they've been recycled that's why it tastes like that. I can only imagine the rest of their food. High price, low quality ready to eat food.

Gelsons.... highly priced, high quality and as you all know., you pay for what you get. The chocolate decadent cake is the best, I only get my Macaron's here!! Omg I want to go right now just thinking about it. Love love the hot food as well as there meats. But you have to pay for quality. If you can afford, you will not be disappointed... I promise you.

My recent visit to Gelson's Market left me impressed with its exceptional organization and ambiance. The store's layout was a paradigm of orderliness, ensuring that every item was easily accessible and locatable. This meticulous attention to detail is a clear indication of the store's commitment to customer convenience and satisfaction. However, the experience highlighted areas ripe for improvement, particularly in the realm of customer service and brand representation. An enhanced focus on the branding of team members could significantly uplift the overall experience. A consistent display of positive demeanor, such as offering a welcoming smile and engaging with customers in a professional yet approachable manner, would go a long way in reinforcing the store's brand ethos. Regrettably, my experience was somewhat marred by the lack of such engagement. The team members, while present, did not actively interact with customers, missing opportunities to provide assistance or inquire about their shopping experience. Moreover, the casual use of inappropriate language overheard at the checkout counter detracted from the professional image one would expect in such an establishment. While undoubtedly unintentional, it is essential to remember that every aspect of a team member's conduct reflects on the brand's image. In closing, Gelson's Market excels in creating a shopper-friendly environment through its well-organized space. Yet, there is a notable potential for enhancing customer experience by focusing on positive, professional engagement and ensuring that all staff behaviors align with the brand's values. These improvements, albeit subtle, could transform a good shopping experience into an exceptional one. I remain optimistic about the store's ability to incorporate this feedback and continue to recommend Gelson's Market for its high standards and promise of continual betterment.

Everyone was very busy day before Thanksgiving but so helpful and in such a good mood! I was so excited to be able to purchase a half of a cooked turkey breast! Did not need it but I bought it anyway!

Saturday, December 2nd, I was in a beautiful mood and was craving a few sweets. So, I quickly searched for something near me while in the shopping center next door. Surprisingly, I found Renaud's right next door inside of Gelson's. I only have my groceries delivered from Gelsons, so I have never been inside.Well, I arrived with my friend and was like a kid in a candy store! Everything looked delicious and amazing, so when the woman at the counter came to assist, I said, "OMG! Everything looks so delicious, I may have to buy them all"! She responds with a very unpleasant look and tone, "Well, that would be VERY expensive for you." My friend and I looked at each other in disbelief, and the woman kept the same bland, serious look on her face and never smiled or anything. I was so in shock that I couldn't even react to it. I went forward and purchased two desserts, but the more it replayed in my mind, the more I didn't want even to eat something that someone with such horrible energy and intentions had touched. My friend stepped away to shop in the grocery area, and I went to find a manager. I asked a cashier if a manager was on duty, and she pointed someone out. Unfortunately, she was rude as well. When I spoke with the assistant manager, he was pretty dismissive of the issue. He stated the company is a third party, so they don't have control.I am the last person to want to even think about race issues, but it was pretty obvious what was happening there. This situation is very unfortunate, but also it's my fault because I forgot where I was. I've been traveling the world for the last two years and just returned. I enjoyed myself immensely and entertained the company of many different races and cultures without one issue. Racism is worldwide, but the funny thing is I only experience it when I come home to America.Everyone has a right to be who they are, except when they decide to serve the public. I should not have to pull out a bank statement or look a certain way to be treated with respect, especially when spending MY money. Needless to say, I won't be back nor will I be ordering groceries from Gelsons again. So Sad.

I'm writing mainly about the Poke bar which is priced about $20 Per pound. Expensive but such a good selection of tuna and sides. I purchase some tuna and a little seaweed and take it home where I have plenty of rice! Sorry no pics! My bad.

I was hungry on my way home stopped by to grab something for to go for dinner The real reason I stopped by was to get some fresh soup ! I was there before 8pm ! All the soup pots were empty !!! Only soup choices were the ones already packed on small containers !!!!!!! Which all had expired dates on bottom of the containers : 10-28-2023 I think this spot has internal management problem Like manager(s) in charge floret a lot !!! Even it is a local market . I barely go to shop there due to way over priced . As always plenty parking spot .

Quality has gone down on meat products I buy from gelson because I'm very picky with animal products..im willing to pay extra to get Quality lately Quality is trash especially the chicken I order on instacart all the time and I request fresh chicken from the butcher..the butcher kept sending me the value pack which as soon as u open smells like amonia big time I told the shoppers no value pack I'm one person I just want the cut from the butcher I even spoke to the manager told her the butcher keeps sending me the damn value crap..I ordered yesterday the shopper told me the butcher gave him a prepackaged chicken saying its freshly cut today ...since when freshly cut chicken is yellow and have a sweet smell to it ...not acceptable not shopping here anymore ...the chicken looked worse in real life than the pic since my phone adjusts color automatically...this crap is not fresh chicken..i dont know what is this butcher problem if im asking for a 25 dollar chicken breast and im paying for it .its not up to u to send me a 14 dollar expired chicken becauseu wana ger rid of your over stock...im eating it not u..i need u to give me what I paid for im so annoyed I keep throwing this food away

I grew up in SoCal and am very familiar with the Gelson's experience. Used to shop there quite a bit when I lived in Los Angeles. Popped into this location a few days ago, after having not visited in a couple of years, and I was kind of disappointed. My friend and I were picking up some prepared foods for a family get-together, and I was underwhelmed by the selection in the department. Specifically, the freshness of what was available. The chicken wings and the meatballs that we purchased were fresh and hot, but several other items in the case, including the mac & cheese and some vegetable dishes, did not look good. They seemed like they'd been sitting there all day, unstirred, unattended. For Gelson's, this should be a big No-No. My expectations are much higher when I shop there. The deli workers were very nice and very helpful, so I can't fault them, but the experience left me wondering, to say the least. The store was clean, but there was a bit of a wait at the register, which I would never expect at Gelson's either. I'll still shop there, but I think there needs to be some attention from management.
