I love this spot. I was a regular when my gf lived the next street over. While I still have love for the space, an older gentleman dressed in tie dye with a grey beard made me have to put this out there. I showed up at 8:30 on my BMX bike to get a single piece of candy. There was no one in the store and I put my bike by the ice cream (completely out of the way) and he said he couldn't sale me a Candy when my bike was inside. Long Beach is one has the highest rates of bike theft in California and I have never had a problem being my bike into this establishment. I left and honestly feel disrespected from the lack of common sense your worker had.

Showed up just now at 11:49 PM to be told they are closed. Was going to be my first time there as a new resident of the area. Won’t be giving it a try now.

Really great neighborhood liquor store. They've been there for over 50 years and are still going strong. Super chill folks working there, all the little staples you might need - coffee, liquor, beer, cigarettes, etc. Keep up the great work, folks!

DO NOT buy any liquor or products here. This place discriminates. You're better off driving down the street to Vons. Also, there is a dark cloud over this building and the employees working here. They already lost the main business years ago. Then, the original owners tried selling what's left but the sale fell through. All they have left is this liquor store that dwells in bad fortune. This liquor store is a lingering ghost and reminder of the failures and bad fortune of the owners and property. The embers that remain from all the failures live here. And the fire from the embers gets weaker every time you pass by. Even now it's a feeble spark about to put itself out. I see the weak embers still resisting. Trying to rekindle some of its former strength. A desperate attempt to rage against its inevitable death. Stay clear from here. Don't consume anything from this store. I fear you too will experience bad fortune that lives here, if you do. If you don't believe me go visit the two witches that stand at the register. And I promise you. Believe your eyes when you see them. They both look like something from hell, and they'll give you the same hospitality as hell. Really mean nasty and disgusting witches. I'll spend my money at 7-11 or Vons. Plus I don't want to risk getting whatever they have transmitted to me.

Horrible! The two cashiers working tonight, specifically, are shepards for the devil, they work for the devil. There's no way for them to be this outrageously irritable and still receive a pay check unless their souls have been sold to an entity that initiates a trade for hormone therapy. They are extremely unprofessional and should be reported to the county as I suspect they probably do animal sacrifices in the back, where ripples used to have their outside bar. If you are a God fearing individual, stay far away or go in with the armor of God because their miserable energy will attach itself. They are going through spiritual warfare in this establishment. It's no wonder ripples fell under if they have people like this working for them. To say they're rude is an understatement. I will be notifying God and the authorities...

Much love to this spot!! Wish I was able to get the clerk's name, but he was so friendly and welcoming regardless. A great staple to the community!

Not very friendly. Cashier seemed bothered to be there and answer any questions. I told her I only want to work with friendly people and places, she said "yeah I'm not friendly so maybe you should find somewhere else." I don't think it was warranted. Macs on 2nd and the liquor locker on 2nd are super friendly and less than mile away.

The prices are outrageous!!!!!! Even though I live just across the street, it's better financial wise to just walk an extra mile or so to Vons as the prices don't cost as much as an out of pocket medical bill just for pickles.

The only store that had baking powder near me! Glad I walked all the way over there or else I would not have made crispy wings for dinner that night ?

Just walked in to grab a little something before heading to the beach, was approached by a man (claiming he is the owner, how ever I know the owner of the actual building) asking me rudely " and where is your mask sweetie" as I tend to forget sometimes...as he don't have a mask on so I say "well where is your mask?" He then explains to me he is the owner and doesn't need one. Honestly ridiculous considering I wouldn't have minded going to grab mine as I live across the street. I come here all the time giving them plenty of business and just felt as the "owner" you should be respectful to your local customers. Definitely better to just walk to second street liquor then coming to this establishment. Never coming here again. Sad considering I'm literally across the street due to the "owner".

The store is well-organized and the people there are very chill. They even helped me out after some serious dehydration from the beach. Really glad that they were there.
