Took my first class at Grit and ABSOLUTELY loved every second of it! Besides Sammy being the best instructor I've ever taken, the front desk staff was also extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Can't wait to come back!!

I am OBSESSED with this Grit Studio! The studio is super clean and inviting. They provide towels, hair ties, tampons, ear plugs, mints, deodorant, face wipes, and cycle shoes (for rental). The staff are all so friendly. The vibes here are so positive, and uplifting, I just love it so much. Every time I come in, I have the best workouts! My favorite instructors are Jaclyn, Chelsea, Lindsey, Reina, Charmaine, and Dani! They play the best music, are so motivating, and push you to be your best. I am so happy they opened up a Grit studio here. Can't get enough.

I've been going to grit cycle at LBX for the past 2 years. I just recently started attending classes here at this location. This location is better because of one simple thing... the 2nd story back patio overlooking the marina. Love coming out on the patio for a few minutes prior to class. It's so relaxing and an enjoyable place to sit relax center and then take an amazing class from all of the motivating instructors. The classes instructors service and facility are impeccably run and clean. Service for towels and drinks are available as well. Great experience as always no matter which grit cycle I go to.

I've been very much into indoor cycling group workouts. I love the music, the hypeness, the bikes, and just the overall vibe. When I came across Gritcycle I was excited to check them out. They offer one complimentary class which I used. The booking process is easy and is pretty much the same as other fitness businesses these days. When I arrived, I was greeted by the staff and was given instructions and a pair of shoes. Since this was my first time, the shoes were free but are normally $2 to rent. They offer both locked lockers or unlocked cubbies. The bathroom is a regular bathroom offering tampons, hair ties, spray deorderant, dry shampoo. The usual items you see at most fitness spots. I always enjoy the little things like this.Ok, so now, the actual workout. Well, let me talk about the layout of the bikes which I wasn't a fan of. Of course, I was in a bike not facing the front which totally threw me off and made me uncomfortable. I'm not used to cycling not facing the front. Ugh! When you book the bike, it's not really clear what direction its facing. The instructor, Leilani was great and all, but she wasn't riding with us. There were two guys at the front riding and demonstrating, but I feel that I lost the connection with the instructor and then lost the vibe. That was new for me, usually instructors are riding and may come off the bike for a sec then hop right back on. There was definitely a disconnect for me. Now, the bike, I was on bike #5. While cycling, I noticed both shoes would slide side to side while locked to the pedal. I'm not sure if that's how their bikes are designed. But I didn't like that, I didn't feel secure and would get nervous. Also, the top part of the bike where the handles are kept getting unloose. I would have to turn the knob to tighten it during my ride. This happened at least three times. So when we would have to ride up then lower down, the handles would pull back with me. So not only was there a disconnect for me with the instructor, but with the workout and the class itself. I couldn't get my rhythm down or a good flow because the bike was just not it. Super frustrating. I did voice my frustration about the bike with one of the girls who was working there. She apologized and said they'll look into it.Comparing my experiences with Soul Cycle, Sweat Cycle, and Cycle Bar, Grit Cycle is last on my list.

I absolutely love riding here, all the staff are always so helpful and the instructors are amazing! I've been taking Danielle's class for the past year and she really pushes you and is super motivational - really gets you in a good headspace and mentality! They also give you chilled eucalyptus towels after each ride and that is a game changer!

LOVE. One of my favorite places to sweat. I usually take the 7 or 8am class, and it's such a nice way to wake me up. When you walk in you're always greeted with the front desk who tell you what bike you are riding and if you need any shoes, only $2, to rent. Then you go and find your bike, and if you need any help locking in your shoes, one of the staff members comes around to help you out. The bikes are comfortable, and yes they do fit Stanley cups ;) There are fans located around the room as well as LED lights and loud speakers to help hype you up. You will get sweaty, but the cold towel with essential oils makes it 100% worth it.

This newbie took the GRIT 5:30am class w/Jaclyn C. Energetic, motivating, upbeat music, and lighting created a unique experience. Since I am a newbie it helped with a full class and top notch staffers to guide my way around. For me it was a little to hot and not used to it but if getting up out of the saddle and sweating to JayZ then find your way to GRIT cycle with free parking at Whole Foods 2nd level,on the second floor of this business. Sorry no cell phone allowed in the classes but do check our the first class free promotion.GET IT!

Grit Cycle is always my go to when it's raining because I'm not able to work teaching tennis. Taking a class with Reina is my favorite always making the 45 minutes worth it and goes by so fast. Before you know it they're offering you a cold towel to wipe off all you sweat and cool you down. Now you're inspired and ready to conquer your day.

Looking for a fun, upbeat and challenging workout? LOOK NO FURTHER! This place is 10/10 one of my favorite workout activities! The facility is super clean, and when you walk in a fresh aroma hits you. The classes are 45 minutes and the trainers do such an excellent job of keeping it fun and engaging as they coach and encourage you to keep pushing through the rhythms and beats. My favorite part is that you ride in the semi dark with ambient lighting so you can sit down and take breaks as needed. Judgment free zone! The vibe is unbeatable and I always leave feeling inspired and proud. After the workout they give you a fresh damp towel to wipe off that smells like eucalyptus(not sure if that's right but it's so amazing!) Still not sold? They offer your first ride for FREE!! just check their IG highlights and book your free ride. This is how I got hooked!

-- location -- 2nd & PCH, second floor on the whole foods end. If you go upstairs via the Whole Foods end, it'll be just around the corner on the second floor. -- parking -- parking lot available with 90 first minutes free. This is enough time to get there and do the class, with spare time to do whatever after if needed. -- experience -- my first class here was very good. It was the last class on a Sunday. The class was full, it lasted the entire 45 minutes, and it was high energy the whole time. If you've never done cycling before, be sure to arrive early to get settled and learn the basic stuff like clipping your shoes in and getting the bike ready to your size. The front desk when you check in has a handy map of the room and you can refer to it to find your bike. The room itself has one large mirror wall, ample bikes, and controlled lighting and fans that the instructor manages throughout the class. The bike should have a towel and weights already prepped for you. There's also 2 water bottle caddies. I put my water bottle and soon after starting, my shirt on the other one lol definitely will get sweaty. All bikes require clip on shoes. First shoes are complimentary, but I was told you would need to rent after ($2?) I also appreciate that they had ear buds, air ties, and mints at the front desk. I totally took ear buds and used them during the class. Showers are inside the bathroom area. Women had 2 showers. There's shampoo, conditioner, and body wash among other little helpful items in the bathroom. Towels too. Thanks for a good first experience here!

I love GritCycle! A friend of mine told me to come try out a class with her one day and I've been hooked ever since! There's just something so fun about cycling to music under the blue lights. I usually take Sammy's classes. He's so much fun! He sings and even dances during class. Sammy just makes it more like a party than a workout! One of the best parts after class is the cool eucalyptus towel - so refreshing! I usually go to the studio at Long Beach Exchange since it's a little closer to me, but I really like this studio as well! It's spacious, clean, and the front desk staff is always so friendly! They have lockers that you can use for free. There's also so much parking and it's just a short walk to the parking structure. I've never enjoyed a workout more! If you're debating on whether to try it out - just do it! You won't regret it.
