I’ve been shopping at this location since it opened and loved the prices and selection of items. Things work differently at GO locations, but nothing that is a dealbreaker for me (bagging your own groceries, they don’t have everything you might want or the brand you’re looking for). For those who love a good deal they have items with near or expired sell by dates for dirt cheap (great if you have the freezer space to store things until you need it).
Recently this the previous owners and many of their longer term employees moved to a different store and things have changed drastically. The shelves now have empty areas, and the goods on the shelves are being spread out so it doesn’t look as empty. We shopped there for 3 weeks after the management change and found fewer things every week that we needed.
Someone suggested the location on Long Beach Blvd and Willow, and it is way better. Tons of product and we had no issues finding most of the items on our list.

I always enjoy shopping at the Grocery Outlet on Spring Street. The best part is that you never know exactly what you’ll find every visit is a little different, and there’s always something new to try. They may not have the same items every week, but that’s part of the fun. I’ve found some amazing deals on both everyday essentials and unique products I wouldn’t have thought to try otherwise. The store is clean, the staff is friendly, and it’s always worth a stop to see what’s new.

Great place to shop, I won’t say how good it is because I don’t too many people to know about this! #gem #gatekeep

Weak energy behind the counter.
The guy working there looked like he’d fold under a strong breeze. No presence, no hustle, no pride in what he’s doing. If you’re going to show up to work, at least show up with some strength—mental or physical.
Eat some real food. Train hard. Learn how to suffer and grow. That’s how men are built. Right now, it’s all soft hands and zero intensity.

You never know what you'll find when you step inside of a Grocery Outlet.
This location has been around for many years and I recently revisited it and was pleasantly surprised at the huge variety of goods to choose from.
The veggies were fresh and priced right. The meats were plentiful as were the toiletries like hand soap, sponges, deodorant...decisions, decisions.
This location was well stocked and I'm glad I went in. No problem with parking or checking off my grocery list...although they didn't carry Squaw bread, I know that my regular location in Willow and Long Beach Blvd occasionally carries it.
Do yourself a favor and check out this location or the one on LB Blvd & Willow, you won't be disappointed 👍🏼

We were going to purchase the remaining sets of a wine gift box. It was displayed at a price of 6.99 and per box. But at the register it rang up 9.99. They wouldn’t honor the price they had displayed because they did not take off the ad price in time. It was days old and no one noticed. Yet dispite the $40 difference in price for the whole purchase, we were offered only a $10 discount. Not even halfway what the price gap was. Very poor maintenance on floor for prices and customer service for their error.
Edited for reply to owner:
That wasn’t what was told to us by the cashier and manager. It was told it was the ad for the previous week. And the cashier took the display pricing from us and crumbled it up in their hand. If it was a wrong display, then the employees need to have better awareness because customers see prices and buy based on them. California law protects customers saying that the displayed price by the business is the one that should be honored. A mistake by the business isn’t a mistake by the customer. We were made to feel we were wrong and it was our fault for asking about the price difference. That should never be the case when the business makes an error.

Good evening, to whomever this may concern,
About half an hour ago, I experienced an absolutely shocking, and just plain sad experience in what used to be my favorite store (my happy place to wander the aisles looking for the latest deals on drinks and other items. After I had selected the majority of my items, and browsing the last aisle, I heard several announcements over the store's intercom, something like "security walk aisle one" (the aisle I was in). I ignored it, trying not to assume or think negatively, however the announcement was repeated several more times, and about 5 minutes later, a man dressed in a security uniform came up to me and told me that I needed to pay for all of the items in my cart now. After that I could continue shopping. When I inquired as to why, the man replied that I had been in the store over half an hour and that that they needed to make sure all their merchandise was paid for, and that it was just their policy. I couldn't just be wandering around browsing. Prior to that, a woman had briskly and quite blatantly made the same statement by walking by me and making mention of how long I had been in the store, and (not politely) asked if I needed help finding anything. After the man said what he did, I grabbed the drink that I had opened to take a sip of, said I would pay for the drink I had opened and left. I went next door to dollar tree and browsed to my heart's content, without being harassed, and spent almost $80 on items I found while browsing. I find it absolutely atrocious and unbelievable that in this modern age, store employees find it acceptable to openly and cruelly discriminate against their shoppers based on their appearance. (I am latina with several tattoos on my face, apparently this makes me unwelcome in my previously favorite store ) although I managed to cheer myself up while shopping in dollar tree, and found everything I needed, I am still incredibly hurt and just plain offended from the horrific treatment I received in Grocery Outlet today. Although I loved to shop there, and found great deals, I will obviously never be returning after the prejudiced attack I was subjected to in your store. It was so blatantly prejudiced that I considered contacting an attorney to stand up for my rights that have been violated, and the emotional distress this has caused me. At this point I just want to forget today really happened, and pretend like it was all just a bad dream .
Sincerely,
Long time shopper,
Christina Saldana
