I received exceptional service Douglas Park Pharmacy. I’m new to the area since moving from New York, and am so happy that I found this gem of a pharmacy. The Ladies there demonstrated great expertise along with their friendly approach. The professionalism, cleanliness, and outstanding knowledge of the prescriptions provided at this establishment truly stood out during my visit. Service with a smile like the good old days. Highly recommended!

This place is extremely unprofessional! The business hours say they open at 9:00am and I arrived a quarter to 9 to ensure I was in and out. The doors did not open at 9 so I waited a few minutes before trying the locked door, only to find it was still locked. I called at around 9:10 (10 minutes past the posted open time) and no one answers. 20 minutes later, still not open and no answer to the phone line. Whoever runs this facility needs to have better business practices in place where the posted open time is actually accurate, which demonstrates RESPECT for the customers time. Totally ridiculous! There are elderly and sick people waiting for them to open and it is clearly inconvenient for all of us to either continue waiting or choose to go back to their doctor to ask them to reroute the prescription. I opted to reroute and will never returning again.

My girlfriend and I came to this pharmacy a few days ago to pick up some of her medicine, but we had one of the worst experiences at a pharmacy. The care and effort put into helping out my girlfriend was literally non-existent. In the past, she's come and the person who helped her was able to get her prescription of 3 bottles for $25. However, this time she was told it would be 1 bottle for $60. Naturally, you'd wonder and ask a few questions as to why this changed. My girlfriend was extremely polite when asking about the pricing, but it really didn't matter to the pharmacist. She was rude with her tone, claiming that the previous person who helped her didn't know what they were doing. During this entire time, my girlfriend continued to be polite, even though I could tell she felt very disrespected. At a certain point, the pharmacist gave my girlfriend a coupon that she said was applied and told her that "she should use a magnifying glass" and read the fine print on the back of the card. With a tone filled with attitude, she said right after that "she doesn't have time to go over everything" with my girlfriend. That's fine if it was said in a nice tone, but the way she said it was unpleasant and impolite. Also, keep in mind that we were there for only 5-10 minutes tops. I find it ironic that the pharmacy website says that the pharmacist would spend as much time needed with the patient. My girlfriend knew how to use the drops, but she didn't spend a fraction of a second explaining how to use them. Furthermore, we've looked at the coupon's fine print in a digital version before even coming to pick up the medicine and we didn't see anywhere what the pharmacist was claiming. I understand that prices change all the time with medical insurance and I believe the price stated was what it was. All I'm asking for is some decent respect and politeness when talking to another human being. Don't take your stress and bad time management skills on other people.

I am truly shocked by all of the 5 star reviews that praise the customer service here. I don't think I have ever been treated so badly by a professional before. I used to pay a little over $8/bottle for one of my eyedrops, but this time, my refill came out to $60/bottle. When I asked for the reason for the price increase, the lady quickly dismissed me and told me that that's just what the terms and conditions are and that she already applied the max discount of $85 and that I could read the terms & conditions if I wanted to. I told her to go ahead and put in the order for the $60 drops, but naturally couldn't help but wonder why the same coupon I used just a couple of months before let me get it for $8/bottle (with Douglas Park Pharmacy as well). When I went into the store to pick up my eyedrops, I mentioned to her that I did read the terms & conditions but didn't see where it said that the max discount that could be applied was $85. I then asked her very politely if she could show me where it said that, and to my shock, she told me I could "get a magnifying glass" to read the terms and conditions and also stated that she is "too busy" and "does not have the time to go over the details with me" -- all in an extremely condescending tone. I would also like to point out that I was the only customer in the store at the time, along with my boyfriend, so it wasn't because there was a long line or that she had other people to help. Their company website says, and I quote, "our pharmacists take the time to counsel you and answer your questions," but where was that for me? I understand that we all get busy with work from time to time (or a lot of the time), but in such a heavy customer-facing role/workplace where you will inevitably be met with a lot of questions from your customers, how can you simply dismiss the questions with a "I'm way too busy to answer you" and give a "what I said is definitely right so that's just what it's gonna be" kind of attitude without any explanation whatsoever? As I was paying for my medication, she made the comment that I "can go to any other pharmacy out there, but I will not get a price lower than here." While I do agree that Douglas Park Pharmacy does have some pretty low prices, the blatant disrespect that I received here is enough to make me want to pay more for a more pleasurable and respectful experience.

The only pharmacy that carried all 3 eye drops I needed post op. (I called 4 CVS and Rite Aid stores) THEN, I lost one eye drop bottle and needed a replacement but my insurance wouldn't approve it. The Rx without insurance was $477! These ladies went above and beyond to get the replacement for a $35 copay. They are always so helpful and I will be bringing all my Rx here from now on.

Can't say enough about Douglas Park Pharmacy and Nancy who has been helping us for some time now. Always a delight to talk to and her extra effort to find the best way to fill out prescriptions. Knowledgeable and efficient would be a good start to describe how much she helps us. Thank you again Nancy.

In a world that seems so big and impersonal, I have found a small, caring, personal pharmacy that is in tune with my prescription needs. My husband’s doctor recommended this pharmacy because they were able to get all his medicine at a fraction of the cost he was paying at a major pharmacy. So I transferred my prescriptions as well and I’m extremely glad I did. I also feel so much safer going to Douglas Park Pharmacy in this pandemic environment where they keep it clean and there are a limited amount of customers at one time.

Now, this is a pharmacy that actually cares about people. I have really never thought very much about choice in pharmacy, generally just opting for the closest one, but following a recommendation from my ophthalmologist, I ended up driving down to Long Beach from LA just to use Douglas Park Pharmacy. I'm glad I did! They go above and beyond in trying all the codes/coupons to make medications more affordable for those paying out of pocket. They make things quick and easy! So grateful to have found them!

If it wasn't for this pharmacy I think I would be still scratching in my sleep cause of my darn eczema. My old dermatologist recommended this pharmacy for the different prescriptions she prescribed me. Out of those prescriptions I felt that only Eucrisa worked and my old insurance did a one time exception so it was only $20. Fast forward two years later, I have Kaiser now and they prescribed me steroid creams that have awful side effects and won't cover the Eucrisa at their pharmacy unless I pay full price ($700)!!! I called Douglas Park Pharmacy to inquire and their price was much more reasonable. It was still expensive but that was because it wasn't covered by insurance but they applied a coupon to help lower the cost. I had Kaiser send Douglas Park Pharmacy the prescription and they confirmed my address and payment information right away. I think Joe helped me out and he got it sent to me the next day. Fast and efficient service!

I have used this pharmacy for 3 years now, Nancy and Alejandra are the best team in the business. They are friendly, kind and take time to get to know you personally. Nancy often checks to see if she can get a better price on our medications and will special order over the counter specialty medications if we need them. Also there is parking right out front for pharmacy pick up.

Great customer service at this pharmacy. Nancy, the pharmacist is amazing. She got a medication authorized through insurance and was able to ship it home within a day. Very much appreciate the quick service provided. Thanks.
