Although this place is convenient and I got a good deal on a rental. THE individual that rented me the car was very disrespectful.I don't know his name he is either a young Hispanic or white male .Of course no one has name badges.

Trash customer service, rude person who answered the phone on 5/22 just before close -- I was unable to get through to talk to a real person to convey that my ETA was 5:05pm -- I already have a reservation booked and paid for by an insurance company, and yet, the answer is "no, we stop taking reservations at 5pm". Already have a reservation, this person clearly doesn't value customers, and maybe both the branch and the brand. This is the kind of customer service that warrants a closer look at potential business partners. Good bye.

Service is slow and bad, information is not provided ahead of time, most of the car are not clean and a lot of dent. It's complicated to just return a car.

I'm not sure why this location doesn't have rockstar ratings... EVERY time I go here I have a good experience. And I've rented from here numerous times in the last 8 months. The staff are friendly, quick to provide customer services, the cars are in good condition (and ready for pick up) and it's always such a pleasant experience. I switched to this location after having terrible experiences at SNA and LAX Hertz locations (we are talking like 2+hour waits an/or no cars available, and no reimbursement for expenses related to those Hertz issues). So this location is a true blessing. Friendly, timely, and the employees go above and beyond here.

plenty of bad reviews on here but thats what people do... We have rented a few times and always friendly. This time we accidentially left sunglasses in car. They were closed for the weekend before we noticed. When called today, the car was already gone but the sunglasses were removed and held for us, just incase we called. Went and picked them up. Appreciate them being saved and returned, thank you

Went with my friend to pick up a rental car today. Started the morning off stressed and confused but John the associate that helped us made the experience so much better. He took his time and helped us through. Grateful for him

I had the worse experience at the Hertz Car rental office on Cherry in Signal Hill on Friday June 30th. I made a reservation thru my Delta Sky Miles and selected the manager special, since it was the holiday weekend the prices were very high for all rental companies. I checked in the person helping me was very nice and did his best to help me. With the type of reservation I made I was told the manager selects the car. i told the customer service Rep I did not want an electric car because I had to knowledge of how to use it and/or recharge it. He then went to speak to his manager to ask which car he should assign to me, came back and told me the manager said the only car he would rent to me was an electric car. I explained I did not want that type of car, because I was not comfortable. He again went to the back to speak with his manager and came back again telling me the manager said the that was the only type of car he would allow to be rented to me. I asked if there were no other cars available (there was alot in the lot) the Rep said there was but since the type of car with the managers choice I had to take it or they would not rent to me. At that moment a man came out from the office and walked outside, I was told this person was the manager and he did not have time to speak to me.I did not rent a car from this Hertz location and had to find another company to rent from, Enterprise. When I told them what had happen to me, the gave me a very discounted price for a car (was the same price as the special I was supposed to get at Hertz). I dont know what I would have done if not for the help from Enterprise. I was supposed to get my car back from the Auto Body shop that day, but was told it was not ready and I needed a car to spend time with my family for the holiday. I was so disappointed and I don't think I have in my 61 years treated so badly and treated as if I was insignificant as a customer. I hope nobody else ever get treaded as I did that day.

Good rates via AAA and good customer service at this branch. I like it better than Gardena. Be prepared to wait sometimes when you arrive they are busy.

They spoke very friendly when we initially walked in to rent a car and offered that we may switch the car anytime we want as long as we give them a call a day before. Well, the car we picked up had a mechanical issue and they directed us to work with other locations due to low inventory. We spoke with airport locations per their suggestion and was advised Signal Hills location will get back the same day after reserving a car...been several days of no follow up and was finally told this morning that they cant help and we need to check with other locations.
