I've been here twice and each time I left feeling like I had the prettiest nails in the world! This place is so worth it that I drive over an hour to get there. Ginny is very careful and neat with the application of gel-x extensions and they last me such a long time. If you want a good quality manicure with detailed nail art, this is the place to go. Appointments last a couple of hours but it goes by quickly. Highly recommend if you want to treat yourself to beautiful nails!

I want to preface by saying I've been getting my nails done and specially nail art longer than this salon has been in business and never had someone complain about my hands... I wanted to try this place because I've been following them on Instagram for a while and it's way closer to me than my other nail artist. I had Donnie for gel manicure and art and my first experience was off putting and I left a bit insecure. Donnie was not welcoming and rude but I thought it was because I was a new client and she didn't know me. So I decided to give her another shot and booked another appointment, big mistake! Throughout the entire appointment, she kept complaining that my hands were too stiff and that I was fighting her with my hands. What??? I told her that she could move my hands any way that would make her job easier and she was annoyed. I'm an artist too, so I know that it can be sometimes difficult to work on surfaces, so the last thing I want to do is make her job harder. At one point she got so upset with me during the nail art that she very rudely said "you know what, we're not going to do detailed art because you're fighting me with your hands". I apologized and told her that I wasn't trying to and I didn't know I was doing that but she scoffed at me. She wiped off the nice art that she had already done and proceeded to redo it quickly and messy. I left the appointment thinking that it was my hands that caused her to be mean and rude but judging by the rest of these reviews, I'm not the only one with a negative experience. I paid $100 for the manicure and The VERY next day my polish on two nails came off all together which means it wasn't applied properly. I went back to my other nail artist in Hollywood and even asked her if my hands are a problem and she said absolutely not and that I actually sit very still and I'm super cooperative when she's working. Donnie, I think it's time for a new career because customer service and doing art on hands is not your thing.

I'll start by saying I've been a die hard Japanese softgel user for YEARS. I generally see the same nail tech for years at a time and was very comfortable and well versed in the soft gel products my previous nail tech used. Sadly she went out of biz and with a recent move to LBC I was excited to try this high rated nail spot....however when I showed up for my appt with grown out soft gel on my nails you would've thought I had personally insulted Donnie's mother or something. She looked at my nails in a disgusted manner and accused me of having hard gel on my nails. I told her that I was adamant about my previous nail artist never using hard gel on my nails because it really messes them up. She berated me for showing up with anything on my nails and told me that she had a severe allergy which was clearly listed on her website. I never saw any such mention of any such allergy. However, I did not have any hard gel acrylic or dip powder on my nails so I figured I would be fine to come in. After about 10 minutes back-and-forth trying to convince her that I knew what I was talking about she basically concluded that we wouldn't be doing a service. I was very frustrated after waiting almost a month for this appointment and then to be treated so rudely and shown out so quickly, I'm really shocked that this woman is still in business. It's a shame that people with greater talents and much better customer service skills are no longer in business but this wacko is still getting steady clients. Nail art lovers beware-they are not so nice at hey nice nails.

I had a lovely experience getting my nail done with Donne. She was very meticulous and I got exactly the design that I asked for. Will definitely go back to see her again!

I've been following Hey Nice Nails! for years and I finally made it in to get some Halloween nails done! Donne is meticulous with working on your nails from manicuring to designing your nail art! She was also helpful with educating you on some of the products they use and I even left with a sample bottle nail and skin oil! She was even sweet to offer me bottled water and some snacks while I got my nails done. You will not be disappointed! Check out the nails! So cute, right?!

I just got married and had a bachelorette party, I will not go ANYWHERE else for nail art other than the HNN sisters. This time I saw Donne, before it was Ginny. BOTH are so amazing, chill, creative and talented. I've never had anything but a 5 star experience with them. Donne did a FANTASTIC job with my nails. My nails were perfect for both my bachelorette and wedding. I couldn't have been happier. Some reviewers think they are pricey, I firmly disagree it's simply because they work HARD for sometimes several hours on making sure your nails look exquisite. Their work really speaks For itself. The gel lasts and they use great products. I really do love the whole experience of their shop and work. This is not a shop where they are trying to get you quickly in and out with sloppy work. It's PURELY HIGH QUALITY. The sisters take pride in their work. I stand by my 5 star review and truly won't go any there else for nail art. They are the best in Long Beach!

Donne did an amazing job on my nails! I wasn't sure if this was the place to go for just a gel manicure but she did an beautiful job and gave my nails lots of TLC, which was much needed. It was well worth the price, I highly recommend!

Honestly I didn't get my nails done but there lack of response and "policy" is pathetic. I called, emailed, text messaged and even DMed them on IG letting them know I needed to cancel my appt. on there style app said that same day cancellation is $20. I was okay with it but I was being considerate and did the most to let them know a little in advanced that I won't make it, and no response. Next day (day of my appt) I called and they answered, letting them know I wasn't going to make it and she was like " oh yeah I saw your message"..... uh why couldn't you respond letting ME know that you saw it?? And then she's like well when you reschedule it and come in it will be a little more expensive. I will charge you for the full service plus I will charge you half of the service's cost because you cancelled the first time so it's like a warning for you" so d****

Not a good place to go. Rude girls. Bad area. Better off going to a normal nail salon where the girls are actually licensed to do nails.

This review is based on their customer service and not their nail work. I came in 3 weeks ago and made my appointment with Ginny. At the end of the appointment with Ginny for yesterday 9/18 at 5pm. I left work five minutes early since this is around the corner from my work which is/was a huge plus. Finally someone that does great nails and it's convenient. I arrived to their door step at 5:06pm. Door was locked with a sign that read "by appt only". I knocked again. I knocked again and harder because I knew I had an appointment and there is no way this chick would stand me up. I call my friend who referred me. She tries calling. I try calling. I email Ginny directly. I send her a direct message on Instagram. I send the heynicenails page a direct message. I wait on the damn stoop outside of the their door because clearly there must be a mistake and she will be here any second to redeem herself. NOPE! I double check my email that clearly says confirmed. I also received another email two days prior to remind me again of my upcoming appointment. At this point I have left about 5 messages on the phone, web and email accounts Today I call again knowing they are there because I have a couple friends that go there and no answer. So I leave another nice message simply asking for a call back and 28 hours later I still have not received a call back or an email back. Horrible customer service!!!!!! Someone should teach them how to run a business and get some people skills. I did really like the way she did my nails but after this lack of disregard I will make sure I never tell anyone about this place. Plus who wants to feel uneasy with all the riffraff they get walking in front of their stoop. Take an etiquette class hipsters!

Loved this place! Donne was so amazing! She was very gentle and took her time with my gel manicure. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a good quality manicure! I liked the convenience of being able to book through StyleSeat. I will most definitely be returning. :)

Lol...really pleasant on the phone until I asked where I could find pricing information on their website. Rudely said "Okay you have a good day" before hanging up on me. Hey it's not that I can't afford it's just that I like to know...
