Went for transmission service. I asked to see the old filter they didn't change it. Then only wanted to give me $10.00 off the $270.00 price. Anyways maybe my expectations were high, but I won't go back after that.

My car had been consuming oil too quickly so I was worried that I might have a serious problem with my car. I was relieved when Steve and Eddie explained to me over the phone what really needed to be fixed. I ended up having a few things done and my car seems to be running just fine. Amazing , helpful customer service. I even canceled my original appointment with the dealership to avoid being ripped off. I will be coming back to Park's for all my future repairs. Thank you so much!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I came to Eddie a couple of months ago with a problem with my car's clutch. I had my car towed there, since the problem was so bad; therefore Eddie knew I wasn't in a position to shop around with other mechanics since I couldn't keep towing it to different places. He told me it would be $2,700 to fix the problem. This was a HUGE amount of money for me, and it was slightly greater than the blue book value of my car. I was upset but decided to have the work done and just get this problem out of the way and to avoid having to buy a new car. I handed over the $2,700 cash when the work was done, and tried to drive home. I didn't even make it to the end of the block before realizing the car had THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM as when I first brought it in. I immediately brought the car back and explained the issue. Eddie called me back and said it would be an extra $550 to buy another part and finish the job! Insane. I told him that was too much money and he should fix the car for the original price, since he obviously hadn't dealt with the problem I told him about. Eddie called me back with another offer of $350, acting like he was doing me a favor. I felt like I had no other options, and I needed a car so I could get to work. I begrudgingly agreed to pay the extra $350-totaling a ludicrous $3,050 for the whole job. I picked the car up again, and it still had problems. It shifted very roughly, and after driving on the freeway a warning stated "transmission overheating--pull over". I brought the car to Eddie a third time and told him exactly what happened. Eddie had the nerve to tell me there was no problem with the car, and said I should take a picture the next time the warning light comes on. He blamed the design of my car's transmission, claiming that the design "just sucks" and the functionality could never be improved. After spending over $3k, my car was still not safely drivable. It shifted badly every time I drove it, and I was afraid to drive anywhere far from home in case the transmission overheated again. The poor shifting and transmission light was not an issue before bringing the car to Eddie. It was all just a huge waste of money. I tried getting my money back by selling the car, but the highest offer I could find was from Carmax--for only $800! Their staff test drove my car and could immediately tell that it had transmission issues. I can't believe how much money I wasted at this place. I am financially devastated. I can't believe Eddie and his staff tried to tell me the car was fixed when really it wasn't. Photos include the initial cost of the repair (Eddie gave me no documentation of the extra $350), as well as the meager offer from Carmax and acknowledgement of transmission issues. I wish I could go back in time and steer clear of Park's Transmissions. Please don't make the same mistakes I did.Edit: I forgot to mention that during this ordeal, Eddie ruined my relationship with my previous mechanic. While my car was at Parks Transmissions, Eddie called me and told me that my previous mechanic lied to me about replacing one of the clutch actuators a few weeks earlier. He sent me photos of the part and explained that it was worn down and not a new part. He told me to call my mechanic and ask what happened. I was very upset and called my mechanic and explained the situation. They were offended at being accused of wrongdoing and even offered me a refund for the work. They stated that they definitely replaced the clutch actuator and would even give me security camera footage of the work being done if I wanted to see it. Eddie called me back and said he made a mistake--the clutch actuator was new, and it just looked worn down because of the design. I was beyond frustrated. Now my relationship with my previous mechanic has been soured just because Eddie didn't know what he was talking about.

Both Steve and Eddie were so helpful! They gave me an honest quote over the phone (significantly less than what other shops and especially the dealer quoted me), ended up charging me even less once they took a look at the car, and got it done in a third of the time other shops had told me it would take. Can't recommend more

I just got my engine mounts replaced with this shop and it was quick and easy. They diagnosed the issue for free and then helped me set up a payment plan. They ordered the parts yesterday and then I took it in this morning and they had it finished by the afternoon. Eddie was the fella that was helping me out; he was super kind, informative, honest and helpful about everything. They even offer to give me a ride back to my place while my car was being repaired. I would definitely come back to this shop ? Highly recommend .Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I had a quote on a 2019 hyandai kona Transmission about to stop working. The hyandai dealer made me a very high quote, Eddie gave me a competitive quote and replaced the Transmission for less . He fixed other things to make the car even safer, and gave me solid advise on getting the car bought back thru The Lemon Law so because of his professional skills in repair, knowledge of how to really help the consumer, and his above and beyond customer service. I have a new car,and got a safety risk Lemon off the road. In my 71 years Park Transmission is the best all around mechanic shop I've worked with in my life. Don't go any where else. Thank you Eddie and CREW for a job well done.

After being told by every Ford Dealership in Southern California that they couldn't look at my transmission for 3-4 weeks, Park's looked at it same day. They came with a quick diagnoses and offered realistic recommendations that saved me a lot of money on replacing the transmission. The diagnostic was free. I will return to this location with any transmission issue I may have in the future due to their quick and reliable service.

I have a modified Ford Fiesta ST that I was having a hard time identifying the problem with. The team over here did a ride along with me to figure out exactly what I was talking about, narrowed down the problem, and gave me a recommendation for a great shop that specializes in fixing the issues that I had. I'm super OCD about my car and would be doing all the work myself if I had garage space and some extra time. These guys definitely know what they're doing and will make sure you're well taken care of. Can't recommend them enough!Services: Transmission

I WHOLE-HEARTEDLY RECOMMEND Park’s Transmission. The guys here are amazing and their professionalism is exceptional. They pay attention to detail and listen attentively and PATIENTLY to their clients. I had a very unfortunate issue with my little MB (my pride and joy although she is 15 years old) when the car stalled coming off Freeway 405 and then kept stalling on a regular basis. I took the car to my own Auto Service Mechanic but he said he couldn’t help and that it should be taken to a Transmission Shop. So, I checked reviews and found Park’s Transmissions as #1 in Long Beach and that is where I took her in the hope that they could help me. I met Eddie and Steve who very kindly carried out a thorough check on my vehicle (for free I might add) only to confirm there was indeed a transmission issue and possible some other ones too. They recommended that I also take it to the local dealership to get a second opinion as well as a full diagnostic testing which I did. I went back to Eddie with the full test results (which confirmed the original Transmission and quite a few other issues). Luckily, I had purchased the extended Auto Insurance Package for my little car when I bought her three years ago as I had a feeling that if I had any big issues or repairs that the parts were going to be expensive. Anyway, Eddie reached out to the Insurance Company and they sent out an Inspector to test drive my car and give a report on their findings. For some reason, the report that this Inspector gave Eddie ended up being completely different to what the Insurance Company approved the next day for repairs. I was so disappointed as the required repairs were very costly and even having to just pay for some of them would mean a large out of pocket expense. Eddie reached out to the Insurance company and voiced his concerns over the conflicting reports and fought on my behalf to get a second Insurance inspector out to look at my car. Fortunately, this inspector was a lot more helpful and approved most of the repairs needed (which were then approved by the Insurance Company). I will always be grateful to Eddie for going the extra mile and fighting on my behalf. I was blown away when Park’s Transmission did not charge me the deductible that I should have paid them as there is one job that I need to get done at a dealership (as the parts can only be supplied by them) and I will have to pay them the deductible for just one job whereas Eddie and his team did several jobs without charging me. I can also vouch that the work carried out by the Park’s Transmission team is exceptional too and carried out in a timely manner. I was very impressed to get a follow-up text from Eddie the next day to check how my car was running.Eddie, Steve and the Park’s Transmission team really do go the extra mile for their customers. I will never go anywhere else for my auto service and repair needs. I appreciate this shop so much!

When I visited Parks today for a transmission drain and replacement, I dealt directly with Steve and Eddie. Both were incredibly nice and transparent guys.Another mechanic in town said that I could drop my car off and he might be able to get to it today. When I took it into Parks to see if I could get it done quicker, Steve said it would probably take an hour. I was there in less time. Felt like I was in and out and the bill was much less than what I was quoted by the other shop. It's a long story about my transmission, but I was given an error code and was quoted by another mechanic to fix it at a price I couldn't afford. I told Steve that despite the error code I wanted to get the fluid drained and replaced because I had been negligent on this and had read that replacing the fluid might help. Steve emphasized that it might help or could possibly make things worse, something I had also read. But since I couldn't afford to have the transmission worked on, I was insistent on getting it done and dealing with the consequences. After test driving the car, Steve was comfortable with changing the fluid. When they were done, I was shown how dirty my transmission fluid was which stressed to me the importance of changing out the fluid regularly. No doubt, I'll be returning to Parks to have this done.At the end when I was checking out, Eddie went out of his way to make sure I got the promotional interest deferment plan on my Synchrony card. Afterwards, I took my car out on the highway where the car had previously been alerting me to transmission problems. So far, no alerts and the car is running smooth. All around great experience this morning.

I choose parks transmission from their reviews online. They did not disappoint. They were knowledgeable, honest and quick with the repair. It's difficult to find mechanics with integrity these days, I would definitely refer friends and return with my business. Give them a try, you won't regret it

If I could, I would give them TEN STARS!!!! My car had just gotten out of a big name dealership and towed to Parks. Well, thanks to Eddie and the crew at Parks Transmission, they actually found out that the part from the BIG dealership was faulty. They had to literally fight the big name car dealership. I could not have done this myself at all. Parks Transmission literally stood up for me, fought the big bully and won! They did this at the BEST PRICE around. I had given up on my car ever being drive-able, I thought it was a lost cause, but they quite literally saved my car and my sanity. My sincere thanks and gratitude to them pales in comparison to the monumental effort, professionalism, kindness and fairness they shared. You cannot fake kindness and humanity. They are the real deal. Not only do I highly recommend them, I've been bragging about them to my friends and family about how they achieved what I though was the impossible.
