About Recreation Park
Recreation Park is a great place for rest, relaxation, and get-togethers with friends and family. It is nice for a picnic, tossing a Frisbee, or enjoying a beautiful day out. The park features a wide open space with a fun, new playground for kids of all ages, including a dinosaur zone, many slides, a tree house, and activities. There is also a historic bandshell built in 1929, a stage, a little trail, a dog park, and a fly fishing pond. Visitors note the park can get pretty busy on weekends, making parking limited. The entrance is off 7th Street on a one-way street, and the park is not gated. Some amenities, like shade and clean bathrooms, are limited, so coming prepared is recommended. It is advised not to go after dark.
Recreation park is great for rest, relaxation and get together with friends and family. My church ( Remnant Church) meets there and we get to minister to those who are homeless, hungry and hurting!

We host our family reunions here at this park yearly and its a great spot to have them.

The park side is really fun for kids of all ages! So many dinosaurs, slides, and activities for kids to do. The bathrooms are bad. I recommend you come prepared with your own toilet paper, soap, wipes, etc. They smell really bad and are not clean.
