Extremely friendly and accommodating staff with genuine desire to help. This bank has a feel of a small community bank with people who care.Too bad, I didn't start earlier, and went through usual behemoth of banking first to learn my lesson not to come back again. Bright, clean, friendly, and convenient neighborhood branch. Highly recommend!

Well run credit union with a convenient atm for when they are closed. Street parking only which can be tight.

I have heard positive things about SchoolsFirst but I didn’t really take it to heart. However, I found myself in an unexpected situation suddenly where I needed an auto loan and they were amazing. I never banked with them before but I told them what I needed, my situation and they delivered. I am usually skeptical about financial institutions but I feel they work with you to get the best rates. I am a new teacher and I am so happy to have found a place that meets my financial needs!

I've banked with them for 30 years, and I believe they're the best financial establishment in Southern California. I am greeted by name every time I walk in. I have also financed three cars through them. If you're a teacher or a professor, you should be banking with SchoolsFirst.

This place left me speechless! I recently came in the switch over my banks and open up an account. I had the pleasure of working with Art. Wow! He is amazing. His customer service and vibe was on point. He was able to answer all my questions, and gave me valuable information. From the greeting to any other employee and management that helped me gets a 10/10. Thank you Art for your amazing service, I look forward to coming In for any other questions or concerns I have. Marten consistently displays professional banking service. He was dressed up as a super hero for Halloween today and it couldn't be more appropriate. Was having a "rough" day and Marten definitely broke that "spell!" This particular branch of School's First is outstanding.

Do not trust them, they are liars. They approved me for a Loan for a Tesla and the car took longer than expected. When I had to reapply, they told me I need a verification of employment. I provided that, and they then told me I needed pay stubs....I told them if they don't want to approve me for the loan, I am fine, don't have me jumping through hoops. I also told them that, I didn't have to do this the first time, why Am I doing it now? They gave me three excuses that were not close to being related to getting a car loan...They said something was wrong with the letter, they gave the instructions to my human resources! They then said that this letter was from 2017, another lie. What it said in the letter was that I had been working there since 2017. It is either incompetence or what another teacher of color describes as just plain old stupidity. I think it was something different altogether, I'm fine with that, chase gives better rates.

At 4:54 pm on a balmy Tuesday 08/09/22, I walked into this branch # 0042 after parking behind the building. I've passed by this branch many times but would rarely go inside to see the teller, instead opting to use the scan to get into the door for the ATM. Having had good experiences at my SchoolFirst Branch in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley, I knew this branch was not the exception. MARTIN, the teller 3290, warmly greeted me as I walked in, having no other patrons in front of me. Martin has the unique ability of asking how your day was, as he quietly carries out the transaction. His charismatic nature in holding a conversation and actually being genuinely excited in my life made me smile. I can tell when people are genuine and Martin was one of the best and should appropriately be commended. He made me feel better walking out of the branch than walking in! I don't know who trains these tellers but they are top-notched. After experiencing the horrendous experience of another bank that include stagecoaches on behalf of my dad, this is the exact opposite! As an educator, I feel like my time here is well spent.

This Credit Union was terrible for non-member customers. It’s atm took my checks, had some failure to roll them back, gave me a receipt, but then took my card. They had just closed. How does a bank close for a weekend without making sure their atms are in working order? When I panicked and attempted to contact the institution to find out how to address the issue, I was greeted with condescension. When I wished to complain about how I was treated, “Veronica” from their telephone customer service essentially told me that I couldn’t because I’m not a customer of their specific credit union. Some customer service. Well, if I ever was going to consider opening an account it most certainly would NEVER be here.

I don't know how a bank can be better the Schools First for personal banking.Always A+ Service. and I have been a customer for 20+ years. (OCTFCU days)My Last visit is an example of how they really stand out. We are going through a Home Purchase and Home refi (at same time) we needed a Transaction History for November to be signed by them. Because it was just me and we needed both my account and wife account, this required some work for them to call and validate with my wife. However, Jonathon said they would take care and email me and my wife the transaction histories within the hour.15mins later I got the email. 20 mins after that I received a call from Jonathon Making sure that I had everything I needed...the extra call at the end was really what puts this banks CS over the top.
