I usually don’t leave reviews but our experience for our move was awful and made 10 times more stressful because of u-haul.This location never had our boxes out on time. We have waited over an hour EACH time we requested them out (they asked us what time we need them) and no one seems to take accountability for this. When we did ask why they weren’t out on time they had no sense of urgency to get them out.One employee told us that we could have the boxes delivered to our house (no additional cost beyond the delivery fee). We call the next day to schedule, another employee tells us that the “final destination” was changed to the u-haul location, so we would have to pay movers (through the companies they contract with). No one told us this. We asked for other options since it was them who lacked to communicate this to us and we didn’t anticipate on spending hundreds move to get these boxes out. To which they said “if you have a truck it will be free”. We don’t own a truck, so of course they try to sell us on renting more of their equipment and renting one of their trucks. The reason we wanted the boxes dropped off to our house was because we don’t have time to go to u-haul, pick up the boxes, drop them off at our house, then go back to u-haul to drop them off. We already had so many things going on due to the move.Numerous times when we explained the situation to all the u-haul employees they didn’t care and seemed to be passive aggressive when talking to us.Everyone here is incompetent and flat out rude. DON’T rent from here.

This lady here finally used this amazing service and I’d like to share my experiences with all you lovely people who see my stuff and follow my suggestions. For the first time this 52 year old required assistance for her moving and came across the exceptional customer service given to me by Sales & Support from Corp. Reservations office. On 7/30/23 I left my call back # for U-Haul to return my call and this happened…Kevin AKA “Ali” was the Angel sent agent that heard me out during my call. I explained it was my very first time using U-haul and briefly explained my health condition to Kevin…he assured that he would assist in all that was possible to making this the best decision ever on using their services. I was asked a few personal questions about the size of my moving needs and from their all went super well and easygoing! A truck rental for 24hrs the pick location closest to me, the additional items needed for my moving of certain items and most importantly the needed help of movers from a 3rd party that U-haul and the estimated hours based on what I had and from where to where were the items being hauled to, Kevin the estimated time was on point 3 hours was all it took. This is used to make the loading and unloading as simple as can be to their customers! Download of an app. on to my cell phone and all my information would be their for future references. Easy drop of if truck and also easy payment process to the movers all sent to my phone. Literally Kevin made sure all that I required was available to me and or my family assisting me with no problem what so ever. It really took just a few minutes to do and all over the cell, just needing to pick up the truck and from their everything else would be fine and ready. I appreciate people like Kevin and applaud his services because when a man helps out a lady not knowing her personally but hearing her out and doing everything to assure that what is needed is given and that she can rest assured that all will be fine for me…that’s gold! Thank you again Kevin, muchas muchas Gracias keep up the amazing work you do for your customers and bravo! picked up my rental at Paramount location and there my experience was red carpet service given to me by Andrea who made sure the truck rental was the correct size based on the items that needed to be hauled by the movers. I decided to make an upgrade and I can thank Andrea for that great call because the perfect size vehicle was provided for everything to be taken in & out in just 1 move! Andrea brought the vehicle out and made sure all the equipment rentals I requested with Kevin were in the truck and explained again the payment and drop off of the vehicle and the app. information if I needed more time too all in the app, available to me by a touch of a few buttons. My personal stuff was already on file from Kevin handling that over the phone at local office screen shots of Driver’s license & payment information were confirmed. Thank you Andrea for your help and outstanding customer service! Robert the Manager came over to remind me that when payment to the movers was ready provided the # sent to me via text to my phone that was their code to receive the payment and to make sure that it was given until the service was done not before also the amount of gas in vehicle and what needed to be returned when dropping of truck. I was sent a text like an hour or less after leaving confirming my needed of start time for the moving. Movers arrived before scheduled time and my family could help with packing and directing while they moved and got everything hauled away and this made it super easier for everyone, drop off hauling was completed payment to movers ✅?drop off my rental handled by Adriana and Robert Manager at local branch with ease too and extremely helpful and professional! Poorly run facility, no communication between staff and you have to chase them down to get anything done within a reasonable time. If you're thinking about calling, just don't.

Wish i could give more stars, but i can not. Employees walking around doing absolutely nothing. The front desk has 1 gentleman who knows what he's doing, and everyone else doesn't have a clue. The wait time, on average, to rent anything is over an hour. Simply unacceptable. I'm not sure how uhaul makes money at all with their process and inability to process customers and equipment. The mechanic shop looks like it pumps out a ton of work, other than that, useless facility.

If it wasn't for this location and the great service, knowledgeable staff, and having the store organized and clean, and overall very well run I would have completely moved my business from U-HAUL to Penske truck rental or some / any other truck rental services. That's how bad the location is on Garfield that I was originally directed to. It was the worst I have ever encountered. The location in north long beach has a great deal of knowledge and they truly care about the customer. Awesome Job team work makes the dream work.

Rented a pick-up truck based on the on-line ad, which is also advertised in their store. Misleading advertisement and deceptive pricing. Pic/ad shows a cargo van and a pick-up truck which shows $19.95/day. After renting truck for two weeks, he was billed in advance for a weekly rate of $355 plus another $20/day for insurance, $5 environmental fee and sales tax at 10.25% bringing the total to over $1,000. They were suppose to calculate the best rate upon end of rental...which we still thought was $19.95/day +any miles over 100 miles/day). Total rental came to over $1400, which was billed at the $355/wk + $89/day rate (for 3 additional days), plus all the hidden fees/costs. Now, to top it off, a jacket and sweat pants slipped off seat back, and was forgotten in truck. Once we realized it, they were already closed so I returned to pick up the next day only to find the jacket was thrown in the trash and the sweat pants were hanging on the post. The one shining light was the young man that tracked both items down, and even dug through the trash to retrieve the jacket. Now, I don't understand why they wouldn't have a Lost & Found box for people that inadvertently leave an item in their rentals??? If I hadn't gotten back the next day they would have been long gone. Ridiculous!!! Suggestion to UHaul, revise your deceptive advertising practices (see add pic attached) and train people properly, including Customer Service!!! Won't be using UHaul again! State your all inclusive prices and don't hide costs!!!!

Worst rental experience I've had in my life. The customer service is terrible and they don't take care about client or rental equipment! do not use this location. Absolutely not! One star is even too much.

On this particular day I went in to buy a propane tank and fill the tank. I've rented box trucks and trails from here before with no problems. Never had any problems and things always got done quick. This is my go to uhaul location when I need to rent something, mostly a trailer.

Zero starts! Absolutely horrible customer service. Zula I believe was her name, was extremely disrespectful and rude when we asked her to help us with a situation. She claimed it was not her problem and we could come back tomorrow in the morning and wait outside to speak to a manager. I am reporting to corporate as I am typing this. The level of unprofessionalism was unacceptable. Go elsewhere.

Stay far away from this U-Haul location. They are all very disrespectful and unprofessional. Roberto (location manager) is unsympathetic and rude. We had the worst experience right after driving off with a 26ft truck. The truck broke down on us (literally smoking out of the engine) in the middle of no where and when we called the location the staff responded with "that's not our problem." We had to stay at a random motel because by the time roadside assistance came (2+ hours later) it was so late and we didn't want to risk driving a "fixed vehicle" at night. A/C never worked, brakes were so worn out and suspension was questionable. By the time we reached our destination we didn't feel safe driving it back. Called customer service (very nice) to have them call Roberto and close out my account just to be billed normally with zero credit or compensation. You're better off renting a pick up truck from Hertz then to deal with incompetent workers. Never again will I use U-Haul for any future moving/storage services.
