Horrible place. Lost my package the excuse was always the carrier this the carrier that. I do not know why we still funding the post office when we can use other companies and now there is paperless. We should defund them.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review for USPS – Downtown Long Beach, 90892
My recent visit to the USPS Downtown Long Beach location was an excellent experience from start to finish. The facility was clean, organized, and well-staffed, making it easy to take care of my mailing needs efficiently.
The true highlight of my visit was the outstanding assistance from Monique. She was welcoming, attentive, and highly knowledgeable. Monique patiently guided me through the process, ensuring that I had the best mailing options for my needs while also making sure everything was handled with care and accuracy. Her professionalism, efficiency, and warm demeanor turned what is often a stressful errand into a smooth, positive experience.
Monique’s commitment to excellent customer service reflects the very best of USPS. She went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied, and I left feeling confident and well taken care of.
I highly recommend this USPS location, and I am deeply appreciative of the superb service Monique provided. She is truly an asset to the team and a shining example of what customer service should be.

Sent a package to a buyer. The buyer got the package without the item in it. Item theft. Never using this post office again.

The people that work here for kind and patient, even though I am sure they deal with a lot of demanding folks. I have always appreciated their help.

So frustrated. I echo the previous reviewers. The postal workers must actually steal the items here from time to time. This post office has a "chute" that you can open and drop your items into. It's protected - no one from the outside can access items dropped off in the chute (I am not referencing the open drop box near the cash registers and packing items.) Therefore, the only people with access to the unscanned items are the postal workers. And you can't put in a claim if they never scanned the item in. I've lost two high value items this way. We need change at this office.

50 packages $$$ left with them were never scanned. Every single one "Lost". With no real accountability or investigation. Please investigate as another person has said packages have been lost. 30-60 min lines without fail, every single day. I feel bad they are kind, clearly understaffed and have to deal with upset people.

They don't deliver certified mail. They just post a note in their computer to say undeliverable. To lazy to even leave a notice. It's your job. You're getting paid. If you don't like it, quit. Don't just treat mail any kind of way. Customer Service has went down the drain, there are only a few good mail carriers left. God bless you guys. The rest of you half steppers are trash. Shame on the USPS for not caring who they hire.

I dropped off 5 packages on Monday 4/8/2023. It is Wednesday 4/10/2023 and nothing has been scanned. USPS has been IN POSSESSION of my items for 2 days and they are FRAUDULENTLY claiming to not have the packages. USPS SHOULD NOT TRANSPORT ANY ITEMS BEFORE SCANNING. Anything dropped off to the location should be scanned BEFORE moving them to any regional centers. Employees can do better. Your jobs are to scan packages and prove you have possession of them. Online sales reflect that I am holding onto a package that the USPS has possession of. Leaving sellers vulnerable and makes it seem it’s not shipped. PACKAGE THEFT basically, you need to scan to prove you have it. Otherwise, packaged can easily be mishandled and lost with no proof it was ever in USPS possession.

I placed a hold for my mail in February. I retrieved it. I submitted another one, and when I went to retrieve that mail, I was told that they can not do that. I asked the clerk what could be done. She informed me that she would ask the carrier to retrieve the mail from the address and hold my mail one last time until I picked it up. She also had me fill out a slip. This occurred on 3/30/24. I returned to pick up the aforementioned mail and I was told that there was nothing there for me. I asked to speak to a supervisor because I'm getting the run around and I have crucial pieces of mail to retrieve. The supervisor, Brittany, came to the window and begrudgingly explained the process. My frustration is through the roof with this process. I've been told 3 different things and I have no idea how to access my mail, that I need this week. The overall service was just poor.

Not receiving mail. Can’t reach a human being at the post office. So I call to submit a ticket. This office called me back and had my mail finally delivered. But it’s not over. That was apparently a one time deal. I should not have to spend hours every week to just get one time delivery of mail. They are failing at their basic duty to deliver mail. This is unacceptable. I’m again calling hoping they delivery my mail everyday like they are supposed to.
