Came here after an adoption to use a cupon, they were very nice! I forgot my papers and had to go back and get them but the receptionist was super sweet and let me reschedule for later that day. Expensive but professional.

Wonderful staff, techs, and doctors. Everyone was friendly and expressed genuine care for my dog. We're only paying a visit here in California, but I'd bring my pets here all the time if I lived here. Ample parking, super clean environment. And, they were playing good tunes in the lobby.

Let me preface by saying that I have a diabolically difficult kitty, in more ways than one. We're still not entirely sure the totality of her health issues despite months of testing and treatment - however, Dr. McBride is the first vet of many that I went through who took on the challenge with gusto. The first time we met with her, she told me that she 'likes a puzzle'. She pored over the extensive data and notes I'd had from all my previous tests and visits with other clinics and hospitals and then took charge with a treatment plan. Other veterinarians would hardly look at this info as useful and dismissed much of it.Kami wouldn't be with me today if not for her tenacity, compassion, responsiveness and generosity. I've never had close to a relationship like this with a human doctor. She checks up on Kami nearly daily, trusts me to make decisions and perform treatments, listens to my ideas and considerations (I'm sure I can be quite annoying), and does so while keeping in consideration the mounting costs and challenges of getting my girl through all this. I've even had several same day 'emergency fire drills' and Dr. McBride has just made it work. The rest of the staff are also lovely people. Billie, Jessica, et al up in front are always cheery and welcoming, the techs are great, etc. The facility could probably use a bit of a facelift, but hey, it's functional. Rest assured, your furry family is in good hands here.

This morning, my senior Shiba Inu swallowed something she wasn't supposed to, so I rushed over to this hospital because it was the first one I could find that was open (our vet wasn't open). In 14 years, my dog has never had a medical emergency, so I was extremely anxious (I cried the whole time hahaha). Upon entering the lobby, the receptionist redirected me to the emergency hospital VCA Lakewood, so I dashed back out to my car. As I was getting my GPS set up, Dr. McBride came chasing after me to my car to calmly and kindly tell me she would take my dog in to provide care. My entire experience (despite the trauma haha) was amazing. My dog hates the vet and always leaves shaking uncontrollably, drooling, and making snot bubbles. This time, she appeared surprisingly okay. The receptionists were incredibly kind, and Dr. McBride delivered updates with empathy and positivity. She called again later in the day to check in. Dog is okay, albeit a bit high.... Owner is still coming down from an anxiety hangover, but we're good! Amazing customer service. I couldn't thank everyone who was involved enough.

Staff here was all friendly. Dr Chu was awesome at taking the time to understand my dog's issues and needs providing thorough guidance. My own con is that compared to VCA visited last year (Marina Del Rey) the visit itself and same vaccine line items were ~40% more expensive. Perhaps this is inflation based, but not sure if pricing simply varies between VCA locations. All and all would recommend though.

I've been a customer of VCA Los Altos for a very long time. Dr. McBride is wonderful. A true cat person and always helps me to understand what's going on with my cats. I highly recommend this office.

The vets here are much more competent than the last place I went. They take the time to explain to me the different treatment options and the benefits and drawbacks of each.

I wanted to update my review because I remembered the other angel who's always been so helpful...EMILY! Thank you for your always professional, courteous, and friendly smile and demeanor. Dallie and I really appreciate you!We also have Dr. Mau overseeing Dallie's diabetes treatment plan because I brought her in when I noticed she was drinking 2x to 3x the amount of water than normal, and this is not a good sign. Dr. Mau has gone way over and above the call of great patient care and developed a logical plan of how and when to increase Dallie's insulin dosage from 9 units 2x a day to 11 units 2x a day. She consulted an internist to get another expert opinion. Dallie's blood glucose level had gone way up and was extremely high, one evening, it was over 500. It's come down to 300, then 200, and we're hoping it will get in the 150 range. Dr. Mau called me two to three times a day when she has new information and recommendations and I really appreciated it because I was so sad about Dallie's off the chart blood sugar levels. I think maybe she could tell by my tone of voice. I just read her bio and didn't know she was such a big star and celebrity actress! She took care of the animals at the Playboy mansion and was on a show "Tamed and Uncut" on Animal Planet. I intend to watch them and I'm sure it will be fun, informative, and interesting. Thank you so much for putting so much thought into Dallie's treatment plan and presenting options, plan B's, and explaining everything so clearly and concisely to me Dr. Mau. Dallie and I appreciate you!

Today I have to change my review of this Animal Hospital,if you not rich enough don't take you pet to here. I checked the other Animal Hospital cat FeLV Vaccine only$24,they charge me $72.15 for each cat for first shoot, also they don't tell me Test fee how much, they do it for my cat bill me a $170.05 each cat.I was shaking when they tell me I need to pay them $600, I tell them I only want the cat second shoot for the FVRCP ,last time I paying around $50 for each cat, when I have appointment with the front staff, I asked her how much I will need to pay, she was tell me around $100 +text, for this reason I don't Check the other places. Before you come here, check the prices, make sure you don't need to pay too much money. Today I only agree pay them $250,I don't owe them anything. this is my budget for the cat, we are not rich enough to come to this place.

A very clean clinic. I think this is the best one we've taken our cat to. Great vets and staff. They are on the pricy side. I just wonder if vets are in a contest to see who can charge the most.
