The deli is the best thing about it. The prices are way too high. But it's convenient for me seeing as though I live very close. The wedges the chicken the rib tips the potato salad heck the whole deli gets A's from me.

I love Vons. Always has great deals and with the app you can save even more. It’s so close to where I live personally I just wish it was 24 hours. The staff are always nice too. They have the fresh deli, the seafood counter…just everything. They have the most affordable selection of flowers too.

locked everything behind glass and corporate is too cheap to staff enough people to open stuff for customers

For many things I need they are usually out of stock. They also used to have better hours, but now close early for some reason, despite being the only grocery store in the vicinity.

The store is a little smaller than some other locations. The service at the deli was slow. They knew the line started to build up and only had one person on. The service at checkout was not customer friendly at all. My first time there I didn't notice the call for help button by the liquor. I thought you just go to the register and tell what you want. The cashier made no attempt to make my experience convenient. Instead I had to pay for what I had. Go back and Ring the bell for my liquor and get in line again. The customer service at this location is awful. They need training in being a bit more pleasant and realizing the customer comes first.
Since that last review I have noticed a change for the better in the customer service.

Armed guards with full body armor and black visors scan IDs at the entrance as AI-powered Enforcer drones administer knock-out gas to anyone who claims a need for a bar of soap or a band-aid. Many who enter are forced into indentured servitude to pay for the inflated prices that, in turn, pay for these "security" measures; but those who get out (by scanning a receipt that is never checked to match the contents of their bags) know the truth: the master you truly served was *your own fear.*
*Full disclosure, this is a hyperbolic representation of the newly installed, draconian security measures at this *grocery store.* The exaggeration, however, is slight.
The sandwiches are good though

This was my favorite Grocer because i could walk there, and the previous manager was always around and very friendly- it felt like a real neighborhood store!
Lately security measures have become so draconian (and ugly) and the employees clearly frustrated that rather than purchase from those inane lockers i will just drive elsewhere during other errands. I’m now worried the C-suite will just close this store down.

I went in today and asked for warm compress for dry eyes that my doctor was asking me to get for a medical condition. It is 12:45pm waiting for pharmacy to open & one of the staff didn’t listen to my question and pointed at feet stuff from compress. She just said it’s right there. I see with one eye so I said oh the warm compress is here? And she said yes. I see eye stuff and feet stuff but no warm compress for dry eyes. She had me standing there looking for the warm compress for my eyes and another staff was there and told me there was no warm compress there only feet stuff. The worst help or sense of urgency. She didnt listen to me and didn’t help me

I've decided that the sandwiches at the grocery stores are better than the others... maybe I'm biased because they've been so good!

I’ve been shopping here for almost 2 years. It’s a nice clean store. However, they recently put in locked cabinets that contain about 30-35% of the products in their shopping aisles. These are regular products such as toothpaste, laundry detergent, deodorant, cough drops, and even hand soap. This store often works on a skeleton crew that cannot manage the workload of unlocking cabinets for individual customers multiple times in a single shopping trip. There is no call button, and when you get the item you want from the cabinet, it is sent to the front of the store to be claimed at the register. I’m not talking about alcohol - I’m talking about deodorant.
I’m not going to play these games at my local grocery store just to buy regular items that I can get from Amazon. I hope Vons rethinks this new policy.
