Luckily I was walking by the front door when I overheard a customer walking into the store and tell the security guard there was a bike on fire. Since my bike was the only one out there, I knew it was mine and looked and saw a guy working on burning the lock and the security guard literally just stood there and watched and I had to stop him myself. Then my lock was all burnt and stuck together and my bike would’ve been trapped if it weren’t for a Good Samaritan that got some pliers and destroyed the lock the rest of the way so I could get it out. They probably wait for that security guard to be on shift to steal bikes. I know they’re not responsible for other peoples property but you’d think he’d at least tell him to stop since he was 10x bigger than me. He knew I watched him stand there and do nothing and looked all awkward when he realized it was my bike he was just going to watch steal. Then he had the nerve to tell me I shouldn’t leave my bike locked up there. I don’t have a car and this is the best way for me to get groceries so thanks to that security guard I’ll never have a simple grocery trip again.

This place is a disgrace. I've noticed several comments stating how difficult it is not to come here because it is within walking distance for many people, such as myself. However, over the years, frustration has increased with every experience. 1) slow motion - lines are are always extremely long with minimal cashiers. No sense of urgency. Total disregard for customer's time when the lines reach into the shopping isles. 2) alcohol section - the prices are not only high for alcohol, but everything. More concerning, is how many times you have to press the bell to get staff's attention. The last time I purchased liquor I was given an attitude for waiting more than 10 mins to be helped. 3) coin star - I went to exchange some change for cash at the coinstar inside of vons the first week of February 2024z. The line was extremely long, per usual. Yet this time longer than usual. Since it was only a $20 exchange, I decided to come back less than a week later. I paid for about $40 worth of groceries on my debit card, and then attempted to Cash for the change I had exchanged less than a week prior. I was then told that I could t because it had to be done the same day. I processed to call the number on the back and was told that it was the establishments decision, because they gave me a code to return and redeem the following day. My overall gripe, is that this Vons does nothing to optimize efficiency and speed up the process. In fact, it seems like everything is done as slow as possible to create inconveniences. I have spent thousands of dollars in this store over the years, and to be inconvenienced and refused a $20 exchange of my own money, that they are already getting a percentage of was, and is the last straw for me. I would encourage others to seek other places to shop. One thing I can guarantee, is that you will encounter a bad experience, or bad experiences constantly at this store. Shop at your own risk.

Huge thank you to CeCe for going the extra mile to help me make my coworker feel special on her birthday. CeCe was the only cashier and the only one who was willing to go into the florist area to rewrap a bouquet of flowers for me. She was able to find someone to covered her lane in order to help me this morning. Thank you very much CeCe

Unkind staff and just stare at you . I've even asked a question an they said nothing just shrugged shoulders. I am a Manager at a Retail store down the street I could never ever treat my customers like so. Training needs to be implemented asap.

Always has been a good place to shop. It has a decent amount of organic produce as well as other organic food items. The customer service is very good and always friendly

I'm not sure why this Vons is rated so highly. After using this store for for three months, I've had it. Every time I shop here they are out of an important ingredient that I need for meal prep. No ground turkey, no rice noodles, no orzo, no mascarpone cheese etc. I'm going to start shopping elsewhere in the neighborhood. I can't keep going to 2 different stores every week. Also, the front of the store is super sketch. They really need to figure out how to make it safer for entry.

This was my first visit to this Vons location in Long Beach. It's pretty much in the only major supermarket in the downtown area of Long Beach. Parking is on the roof if you have a car but it also looked like a lot of people were walking in from the street so this is a great place to get groceries and lots of your daily use items. The store is decently sized and you're able to find a lot of things as a one stop shop. Make sure to sign up for loyalty club card so you can get discounts on items when they are on promotion. The supermarket itself is fairly big and there's a good variety of items throughout. Nothing out of the ordinary to report. Great market to come to so if you're ever in Downtown Long Beach this is where to go.

I only go here if it is an absolute emergency, it's the worst. Funny coincidence, I've been cut off twice driving there and both times it was staff! I normally drive to Ralphs over 2 miles away.

For being such a large Vons, they are constantly out of everything. Or at least hiding it away. Want meal preps, fresh peco, eggs, whole milk, eye care? It's wrapped up in back. Like all the time. I wish I didn't live next to a ghetto Vons.

The outside is dirty, but the inside is quite cleanly n cozy. Good prices for quality groceries. Friendly cashiers and guards. Vons is one of my favorite store chains in LA. 5 Stars!

The overall experience is ok. Besides security following people and homeless people arguing with/yelling at, no one in particular.......it's a Vons.
