I bought groceries today and passed by the lottery machine. I bought lottery tickets and checked my previous ticket and Won $5. Machine stated see the clerk to get the $5 winnings. I went to pay the clerk for my groceries and asked the clerk if I can claim my $5 winnings. The lady clerk asked the coworker walking around and looks like a supervisor if he can process my $5 winnings. He answered " Hell to the No !!!" then left. I just said I'll claim it somewhere else. Who ever that guys was around 6:30 pm March 3, 2024 , needs customer service inservice. I just hope that was not the manager for today.

UPDATE ON MY PAST DELI EXPERIENCE. I have decided to return to Vons and give the deli another shot. I'm happy to report that they have hired 2 exceptional individuals named, MALLORY and DJ! They were extremely patient, courteous, and caring. Not once did I feel like I was a bother nor was I ever made to feel like I was asking for anything more than one should expect from a service, good customer service that makes you feel genuinely cared for and makes you look forward to return. Ive encountered DJ on 3 occasions and Mallory once. This last time I asked for their names and thanked them for a wonderful experience and told them I would be including them in my review. Thank you ladies!!!

There used to be a girl behind the fried chicken counter who would glare at me and give me the driest pieces of fried chicken. Also a female checker once dropped one of my strawberries on the floor and put it back in the container, saying, 'Well, you're going to wash them anyway." Yuck. On the other hand, a nice young man in the produce section let me exchange a bag of potatoes that had sprouted eyes. I started to say something but he quickly apologized and said, "No, I should have caught that."

We ordered groceries directly through Vons, as we have done in the past. The delivery was supposed to arrive between 7-8 PM. The groceries still did not arrive at 8:30, so we called the customer support that was listed on the receipt. Calling that number, all they were able to tell us is that our order was delayed. She directed us to call Vons directly to ask about the ETA. It was getting late and we wanted to go to sleep soon. When we call Vons, we spoke with the supervisor that stated they haven't delivered groceries for over a year. That's strange. We ordered from them last month and they delivered. Then, the supervisor stated that the groceries were actually all packed and in the back, and that we need to call GrubHub or whatever company delivers. We then explained that we ordered directly through Vons and if they source their deliver to a third party, then they need to find out the ETA on our order. Needless to say, we got off the phone not knowing when, or if, our order would arrive. The supervisor was very snarky on the phone and proved to be unreliable when she switched her story from "they haven't delivered in over a year" to "oh, you're order is all packed and sitting in the back." This will be the last time ordering from Vons...maybe even the last time shopping there.

The store cashier and the bagger here yesterday is both rude and very unhelpful.I always come here only for pharmacy which i think has a nice staff and service. And always read the fine print in their digital coupon coz most of the time it is misleading and you end up paying the higher price!

I'm shocked this place isnt called Longs, cause these wait times are terribly long. This has to be the last store on the planet without an automated check out. The CVS right next to this place that closed - they had automated checkouts. The owners of this Vons should have bought those up!I've lived across the street from this place for over 5 years. On any given occasion i've come here, its been a last minute decision that I always regret. I think i've seen at most 10 people working this entire store at one time. Need something from the pharmacy after 6pm? Good luck. Need to check out with less than 10 items in a hurry? Get in line, bud.This location is so physically big there's two doors, but dont ya know it - one of em is permanently closed. One foot in the grave if you ask me. Just close the other door permanently and end this tragedy

There always is a line and slow at the cash register. There is no DIY cash register. Produce is average. It's pricey for a supermarket. It has Starbucks. There is never a customer service person at the customer service desk. Plenty of parking.

Sorry to say this store is a very last resort for our neighborhood. Most employees have a lousy attitude if you can find them. Management non-existent. Store needs to be deep cleaned. Parking lot filthy. Always check the expiration dates. Unacceptable service except for the terrific pharmacy staff!which is beyond reproach.

I have a love/hate relationship with Vons. I love that it's close to home and where I run errands. I hate the quality, selection, and prices of most of my usual items of purchase. This moldy Ricotta takes the cake. I'll go out of my way to shop elsewhere now. I made the mistake of tossing my receipt to do an exchange. Beware of dairy at this location. I've put milk and creamers back on the shelf because they weren't cold to touch.

The place isn't terribly clean, well maintained, or properly stocked. Maybe they could direct some of the effort they've put into making hygiene products inaccessible into making the rest of the place not similarly off putting.

As usual, I stop by to pick up a few . And add usual.. I ended up leaving my cart by the checkout as the checkout line was too long. Only one cashier... this was eleven o'clock in the afternoon on a friday.there are never enough cashiers. I don't know why I think it's going to get any better. I don't know how this place stays in business as I never see that many people in there and they one I do ste already in a long @** line.I will stick with Ralphs where there are plenty of cashiers and the self check out if needed. This is my latt trip to Vons.
