Not sure if they are overniters, but the family rented one for guest to change in. I will b going back for lunch in the spring, cuz o.m.g.! It was beautiful!”

“We got married at the Chalet Event Center on 4/4/26 and we seriously could not have asked for a better experience.

From the very beginning, everything was so easy. The planning process felt smooth and stress-free, and Bosue was amazing to work with. He was super accommodating, easy to communicate with, and really made sure everything came together exactly how we wanted.

On the day of, everything just worked. The food was so good (we’ve had so many people tell us how much they loved it), the staff was great, and the bar staff was awesome. Even the security guard was having a good time and our guests loved him. It just felt like everyone there genuinely cared and wanted us to have the best day.

We had so many people come up to us saying how much they loved the venue and how smoothly everything ran. The staff at the Chalet really went above and beyond for us.

We would 100% recommend the Chalet Event Center to anyone. Bosue and the team made our wedding day feel so easy and so special.”

“Had a really lovely buffet lunch here today following a celebration of life. The food was excellent and the pot roast selection was extremely tender. The chicken cordon blue also exceptional. The gentleman who was our Solarium Room host was attentive and flexible to our noisy active children. Highly recommend this venue based on our experience today.”

“The bright, open layout of the rooms and the fresh scent of the garden areas really caught my attention as soon as I walked in. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the whole atmosphere felt both elegant and comfortable for a large group. One small thing that would be nice is if they stayed open a bit later on holidays, since it felt like our celebration ended a little early. I still think this is such a beautiful spot for an event and the value you get for the space is impressive.”

Newcastle Gardens was absolutely amazing. My daughter had a lovely wedding there in late November and it went extremely well. Maggie, our wedding coordinator was excellent, very professional. She kept everything running very smoothly, almost exactly down to the minute. She was super helpful when the bride had a pre-reception mishap. She also kept the bride's drink full all night and helped out wherever needed. I don't know how she did it. I have to say she seemed hyperaware of the goings on around her and was really on top of things. I highly recommend her.

The ceremony area was very nice. The huge oak tree really added to the setting. The reception area, called the barn, was perfect for the number of people we had (about 100). Plenty of room for us. I think they can accommodate around 130, but discuss your needs with them. The barn can be opened to expand the space to the outdoors. It was open during the appetizer hour, but closed during dinner since it was a little chilly that evening. Jessica really made the space beautiful with her flower arranging and decorating skills.

We had the rehearsal dinner here as well. The food... Man, the food was SUPERB! The rehearsal dinner we had was a Mexican buffet. Every. Single. Dish. DELICIOUS! Of course I snuck up for seconds. I had to! Dessert was churros served with chocolate sauce. Snagged a few of those too. Everyone loved the meal. Additionally, the reception dinner was magnificent! Again everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, raved about the food. Matt, the chef, is a magician! Side note, my daughter made the cake (strictly for the couple). She also made half a dozen other desserts. Matt was so complimentary to her skills and variety. Said it was nice to see something different for a change.

If you have the chance, find out when their open house is and do yourself a favor and go. There were tons of samples so you can get get an idea of what the food is like as well as the grounds. The Mac & cheese with pulled pork was great (I had several servings during our appetizer hour) as well as everything else. Matt and Jessica were readily available to answer questions and discuss decor and menus and the like. There were a couple of other vendors there too so it was nice to talk to them for ideas even though my daughter decided to go a different route.

DJ Matt (different fellow) kept the evening hopping all night. It seemed like non-stop dancing. It was a sight to behold actually. The music was great! He really kept the energy up.

Also, shout-out to the bartenders Abe and Tori (I believe that was her name, sorry!) for keeping the drinks flowing and being very personable. You guys were amusing and fun!

All-in-all, everyone had a blast. The night could not have been more perfect. I wish we had more parties to plan just for the heck of it, I'd definitely have them here.”

“Sadly, I was there for a a gentleman who passed away and had a memorial, but it's a nice facility with good accommodations. Appears they have plenty of parking too.”

“Maidu has a great support group for those who have Parkinsons diseases on the 1stTueadays of the month. They also sponsors a social on the 2nd Tuesday's after the meeting. It has been beneficial to my husband to hear others challenges and stories about what they are challenged with. Come and join us. It is very enlightening

“Always a great place. They have great employees and the supervisor is super kind. Ordered a large thinking it was the one for refills. Spent $100 already and didnt have to say anything he said one time he will understand and refill anyways and next time hopefully he remembers me to recommend the refillable one. Very good way of working with customers, the guy has a bright future. We will be back many times.”

“If you don't need fancy frilly and just want something budget friendly and practical, then I highly recommend this place. Super friendly staff that were accommodating and kind. Cute stage area for the DJ, catering counter made meal serving easy, full bar with a good selection of liquor, pool tables, lots of seating, smokers balcony. Wish it was not upstairs but otherwise perfect for my daughter's reception.”

“Had a great time doing two rooms ('The Lab' and 'Bitten') with a group of friends. 'The Lab' was good fun and we were able to move that one fairly quickly. 'Bitten' proved to be far more challenging. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend for groups of folks who enjoy games/puzzles/mysteries.”

“This is a really good venue if you're planning an event. They care about their customers. They are very flexible and would customize the package according to your needs. The banquet director Melanie is AMAZING!!! Her leadership is just incredible. When things didn't go to the right direction as we expected, she took responsibilities and stepped in to get things right. She's not just doing her job right but beyond. I think it's really hard to find an event manager like her who cares as much as she does and genuinely wants the best for the clients. We LOVE her!! She's the gem of this venue!”

“The Hālu Nā Maka Ōlali Luau held there was a wonderful experience!! A filling meal was included with our tickets and Mai Tais were available for purchase, along with sodas and water. There were raffle tickets sold for some nice prizes and also there were some yummy snacks sold before the dinner. Our gorgeous SIL's was one of the dancers and her handsome brother emcee'd the show. The show was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and well worth the drive to Roseville!!”

“Located in the Sierra foothills of Auburn, The Ridge Golf Course offers a superior golfing experience. This 18-hole championship course combines natural beauty with rigorous play. The Ridge Golf Course boasts a par-71 layout that spans 6,734 yards, incorporating a variety of terrains. This course is the most challenging course in Placer County and still manages to be very enjoyable. Imagine well-manicured fairways, playable bunkers, plenty of trees for shade, nice tee boxes and smooth greens. The golf carts are equipped with GPS with a layout of holes with accurate calculated distances. I would recommend a beverage cart, due to the lack of drinking water on the course. This would be a great date activity. Start off by warming up at the driving range with a bucket of balls. If the date is going well, play 9 holes while getting to know each other better. Always friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful—whether it’s setting up for meetings or helping with events, they go above and beyond. The space is well-kept, welcoming, and perfect for community gatherings. Grateful to have such a great local spot that supports Auburn’s organizations!”

“My first time but won't be my last!!! Just too hot but the good time, friendly people & fantastic food will have me going back next year & the following on & on! We first got there & bought tickets at $1 each & food & drink was priced accordingly. The line for pierogies was very long so we started out wit potato pancakes. Absolutely wonderful cooked to perfection thin potato crispy pancakes with your choice of both sour cream & applesauce totally outstanding!! Each order is two & I believe 1 ticket per pancake. Couldn't have been better! We went inside to eat where it was quite nice temp wise. While eating the pancakes saw someone with the polish dog had to have one of those!! Well able to eat 1/2 huge dog & super good kind of sourdough like bun. You could have with ketsup, sauerkraut, or/& mustard. It was the best Polish dog ever, you bite into the dog & the skin pops and the taste is phenomenal!!! By that time line was short for pierogies so using last 2 tickets got one each and last 2 tickets 2 bottles of water!! We only spent $40 total & great food wonderful amber jewelry along with other stones. It was a great time!!”

This bowling alley is substantially less expensive than a bowling alley that is nearby. This place offers a full bar, which I absolutely appreciate. Also, our server, Riley, was beyond attentive and considerate. The manager, Scott, is also professional, caring, and courteous. I loved that he checked on me and other bowlers the whole time we were there. This place has me and my family as customers for life.”
