“The service was great. But this location was busy! Manager friendly despite wearing several hats all at once.
We had a local mid-week rental. When we called to let them know we would be a little late returning the truck, the call was answered by the national office. National said we were to have had the truck back by 8am. We picked it up at 10: 15 am, thinking it was a 24 hour day.
National automatically charged up another day.
It's not like renting a car, where you might have a short grace period if you go over the day. Anyway, the manager was cool, confirmed it was a 24 hour rental when we returned the truck. But since we were told the charge for the extra day was already added, we didn't rush back. It all worked out.
Word to the wise, confirm your return deadlines.

“I enjoyed the professionalism at this U-Haul location. It was last minute and I made my reservations 5 minutes prior to arriving. It took less than 4 minutes to receive the rental truck. Overall, fast service, i received a very clean brand new vehicle, and I saved so much money renting from U-Haul.

“Tay (from the U-Haul in Paramount/Long Beach) was AMAZING!!! I’m so grateful she was there to help us!! Moving is a lot, and you’re bound to forget things… I forgot the locks on our U-Haul boxes (which were already up and loaded!) Thankfully, Tay was SUPER understanding and EXTREMELY helpful! So much so that when TWO of my locks didn’t work, she gave me replacements! I just can’t express how grateful I am that she was so willing to not only bring down one box, but THREE boxes because I couldn’t remember which one wasn’t locked. So amazing!!! What started as a bad day ended great with her kindness! Thank you, Tay!!! We are so appreciative!!!”

“it doesn't get better than this. first class service all the way. they do a great job helping you when needed, you can also fill up on propane you need for the BBQ! over time, i noticed that they always have the best pricing on everything, really important these days for sure. i needed help the other day with my windshield, someone came out and helped me get it done. You don't see that often! One day I had trouble walking after falling down, Fred and Ernesto came out and helped me do the fill up. Really helped me out. you will be happy going to this76 station, it's on the corner right at Beach and Lampson. Angel behind the counter always helpful. Cannot do better than this. As good as it gets!!! totally professional.”
“Jason was super helpful for my situation. I rented a cargo van but when I got there, I couldn’t go through the rental due to needing to have a CA drivers license WITH a Long Beach address (local policy). I had a specific situation and he had helpful suggestions to meet my needs. I ended up renting a 10’ truck instead which worked out. He ensured I had a truck with enough gas to get me to and from my destination. Smooth process the whole way through. Thanks Jason!”

“Ran out of argon while welding railings this Saturday. I called and they said they didn’t have it but could order, fair enough for sure. But about 10 minutes later I had a message saying he found a bottle! This is a company that cares! He made my problem his own and went out of his way to double check call back and leave me a message. “What a great place for RVS to dump and for propane. Drive up service is great.
Today was our third visit to this dump location The company has changed its name and have increased dump fees from $20 to $35!!! For self serve dump facility!! That’s crazy. I admit its clean and convenient but 75% increase for do it yourself. Probably won’t be back. I only have a class B Motorhome 13 gallons !!! Its to bad it’s a great place.”
“This now my go to place for propane. They charge $3.45 a gallon plus some other fee I'm not clear on what it was. Worked out to about $4/gallon. Best I could ask for given the other place doesn't serve the public anymore.”

“First review of 2023.Just got my gas at the station, price seems pretty fair at this time of year.I made a mistake and went to the wrong pump and the gentleman at the register helped me swap pumps without a hassle.I didn't even pick a pump so I rushed to swap pumps. Before I even told him which pump it was, he already swapped to the correct station I was on. And honestly I think that is the best customer service at a gas station.I have some reserved comments about the one star reviews I have seen. About losing dollar bills leaving that the register, this is your money, you should atleast watch the guy take it before leaving. And the other about taking change out of a few bucks, bro this is a gas station not a bank.Anyways, if I am in the area, will visit this gas station again.”

Let’s be honest.
Most people don’t pull into a gas station expecting a memorable experience.
You’re usually there for fuel, coffee, snacks, hydration, or because your vehicle has politely informed you that driving another 14 miles on hope and determination is no longer an acceptable strategy.
Today was one of those days.
I pulled in looking for a quick stop.
I left reminded that great customer service can happen absolutely anywhere.
The store was clean.
The shelves were organized.
Everything was stocked.
The parking lot was well maintained.
And the entire operation felt like it was being run by people who genuinely care about doing things the right way.
That’s becoming increasingly rare.
What stood out most was the energy.
Every interaction felt welcoming, respectful, and professional.
No attitude.

Just hardworking people showing up and doing their jobs with consistency and pride.
That matters.
Because while everyone notices when things go wrong, not enough people recognize the places that quietly get it right every single day.
Chevron ExtraMile has mastered the little things.
The things most people overlook.
The clean counters.
The stocked coolers.
The fresh coffee.
The organized aisles.
The smooth checkout process.
The simple feeling that everything is exactly where it’s supposed to be.
That’s not luck.
That’s discipline.
