I recently rented an 8ft Uhaul pick up truck for a local move in Long Beach to Los Alamitos and, as a repeat customer to this specific Uhaul, I continue to have great experiences every time. The customer service at this Uhaul is always exceptional, with staff members who are knowledgeable with providing me quick service and willing to go the extra mile to ensure I have a positive experience with my move. The truck itself was in excellent condition (brand new only 638 miles!!) and perfect for my needs, making the move quick and easy. I highly recommend going to this Uhaul for anyone looking for renting a new truck and reliable truck, and receiving solid customer service from their friendly staff. They are a local family owned business, I think, and its nice to support a small local business like them. It makes you feel good you know.

I got nothing but great things to say about the customer service provided by Tayvion and Angelica. This company is very lucky to have these 2 young folks. They made the u-haul experience so seemless and easy. Well done you two

This is the worst place of business I have ever entered. Starting with ABC's employee (who for whatever reason) incited a situation out of the blue (while my neighbor and I were doing our paperwork rent a 15' box truck for a couple of hours) that escalated quickly. I am disabled and was parked in their disabled spot in their parking lot that is ALWAYS empty! She told me, with a lot of attitude, that I couldn't keep my car in the disabled space while I had the truck and that I needed to move my car to the street. When I begged to differ with her, all Hell broke loose! She refused to rent the truck to me that I had reserved online the night before. After much name calling (I'm not going to lie, by me as well - after her starting it) I was forced to leave. As I was leaving she called me a f***ing racist! Now this person/business has every bit of information on me there is to have short of the locations of my birthmarks. Two days later I was completely hacked! Coincidence??? I don't think so. Let me say this....I'm not letting this go. I've been in contact with U-Haul, and that contact person has been wonderful to me. Also, I spoke with the owner of ABC Pool, who quite honestly is as bad as her employee! They are head-up and locked, and convinced they didn't discriminate my disability rights, which they did! Huge mistake! HUGE! Never use this business for U-Haul rental or for your pool business! If you're going to rent a U-Haul truck by all means do it, but do it anywhere but here. There are plenty of other pool supply businesses in the area. And never rent from U-Haul at this location. I am a 68 year old disabled woman and I have NEVER experienced anything like this before! I hate having to give it even 1 star. They should go into the negative stars or allow us to not put a star at all....that's the only reason it even got 1 star

The process was easy both picking up and dropping off. Staff were helpful throughout. HOWEVER, I am giving 3 stars because I was told that the gas tank was full for me and that I needed to leave it that way to avoid additional fuel charges. The fuel gauge upon pick up was slightly under "F" so I didn't question it but after returning the vehicle only posting 9 miles of travel I had to pay for 3 gallons of fuel. Clearly the tank was not full when I started. So this is just a warning... make sure the fuel gauge reflects a full tank of gas.

Always have what I need, definetly plan parking somewhere else. Rented a van yesterday, returning today. Did return online! Super super easy, took maybe 10 minutes as you take pics. But u deal with no one and it is easy. My only problem was the van windows, especially the one you need 100% visibility thru weather permitting was filthy inside and out, making visibility horrible all the time. And worse when sun starts to go down, then even worse when we got over to the beaches where there is tons of humidity right now, when it got dark...so fast, we had no visibility at all and had to pull over on the freeway to clean the windows inside and out with what we could find. It never should have been sent out that way. Hopefully this will be something they work on in the future. It has never happened before.

If I ever need a u-haul again I will rent here. The guys were friendly and helpful. The rental process was easy. I ordered online and picked up and dropped off in store. There were no extra charges only what I ordered.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars but, of course it's yelp so they get a lousy 1 star. We have rented three times now from this business. So you would think we have been a loyal customer in coming back and using this business to rent trucks anytime we have needed it. The third time was the last time we would ever rent from them. The second time we rented a truck their young employee messed up and made a mistake he shouldn't have I guess. So we walk in the third time to rent a truck, and you would think they would value us as customers greet us with a "welcome back" or greet us by name with a friendly smile, but nope, not these folks. Right when we stepped foot in the door, the young brunette woman says in the most unpleasant scolding voice, "WE SHOULD OF NOT RENTED YOU THE TRUCK LAST TIME." What a greeting! Naturally, we were very confused by this greeting and asked why. She goes on to explain (again in this nasty harsh tone) how her young employee made a mistake and wasn't supposed to use this card with this license etc (I'll spare you the details). Basically, it was 100% their employees fault, not my grandmothers fault. If YOUR employee made a mistake and not the customer, that is something you should work out within your company with your employee and your management. NOT to your loyal customers. It just screams bad business. So we are just trying to rent a truck but we can't even get to renting the truck because we needed to get a lecture and a guilt trip about their employee's incompetence. That's no way to talk to your customers and especially the elderly. It took everything in me to not snap and defend my grandmother who didn't even really understand why she was being spoken down to. She just wanted to rent a truck. So after the lecture, they finally get to the part where we rent a truck. The brunette employee asks us if we had a reservation. Which my grandmother explains she had been calling multiple times and no one picks up. They immediately cut her off mid sentence and again say that their phones are down they aren't working they are having issues with the phone. Just a bunch of crap. My grandmother explains well this is why she didn't have a reservation. They basically just insult her intelligence and say she could of done it online. She's old school, she likes calling. Regardless, who cares why the phones don't work, it's just the principle. It's YOUR fault the employee messed up, it's YOUR fault your lines are down. How can you even stand there with your sham of a business and even try to insult your customers and make them feel bad. To basically finish the story, we got the truck and we all left feeling guilty like we did something. That's not how anyone should feel. We did nothing but come back and bring business. We will not come here again, and if someone should ask where to rent a truck I will definitely let them know to steer clear of this place.

This is a Mickey Mouse Operation. Practically a sham. They run the business (obvious side hustle) in a shabby swimming pool store that never has more than one customer in it. We have rented from them three times now, and the third time was the final straw. You walk into the store and the tiny little desk to the left with a big swimming pool manual of some sort that has clearly been there since the 90s greets you. I think because of the lack of focus on their U-Haul business, we're getting bottom of the barrel trucks and service here. There was a specific incident I shall keep private, but because of it it caused some conflict. We resolved it with them. The second time we came to rent a truck a few days later, THEY SCOLDED US for the previous incident because of something THEIR teenage employee did. Completely unprofessional and weird. We returned the truck in mint condition as well, but they acted as if we got away with some crime by the hair on our chinny chin chin. You're better off finding a truck rental center that puts their U-Haul business before pool pumps and slides.
