Charlie’s Restaurant

Hours: Charlie's has been open since 1978 starting off with only a few burger items on the menu. The menu has grown over the years, especially when customers started requesting his mothers Hispanic recipes. Her famous Chile Verde recipe is unique because its a red based Chile Verde. Chile Verde in Spanish means green chile, which her recipe has green chile's in it. Give it a try before you question it. Charlie Gonzales is a long time local of Los Alamos often called the unofficial Mayor of Los Alamos. His parents moved to our small town in in 1955, opening up the Meat Locker which is known as The Los Alamos Market today. Some of the old Hangers and Trollies are still hanging in the store. Charlie's Restaurant is a local landmark.
