My banking relationship at Chase may not last long. I will be migrating over from First Republic and in advance of the migration I went into the Los Altos branch to speak with someone. I spoke with one of the tellers. I was told that a private wealth or business banker would get in touch with me. It's been 3 months and I haven't heard from anyone. Suffice it to say, I will be shopping for another bank.

I have the opportunity to call Chase Los Altos Branch hoping to find someone to pick up the phone. Very surprised, someone picked up the phone and know exactly what I need. That person is Renee. (BIG thank you) Shortly after, I stopped by to look for her (no appt) and I am lucky, she is available. She explained to me everything and finished the acct opening process for me in less than 10 mins. This is my 1st time to walk into this branch, totally happy. This is the 1st time to call this branch, very surprised that they will pick up the phone (Citibank, Wells, pls pls take notes here) Overall, totally happy to have Renee to help me!

I don't see why some people are upset. Of course the only thing that ticks me off here is that their ATM machine can be a bit finicky because there are some checks that they are refusing to take. Even if your check is in perfectly good condition and is valid the machine can act up. This is not a big concern for me because technology can be a bit tough. Due to the fact a check won't go in, we went to the counter. I must say I had no qualms at the front counter. The lady who was serving us showed great courtesy. Not sure why other's are feeling that way but this branch is a bit of a cramped one with little to no traffic. It was an easy cash in and go. Drawback: The only thing I agree with on this is yes notary services are very terrible here. The whole job itself is very terrible so don't bother.

Customer service is horrible this location. They don't answer the phone over three hours then finally answered "who is this" then hung up. What kind of business answer the phone like that?! Also charging me I don't even receive service. Negative star experience.

Incredibly rude when I came to open an account. Guess they really don't need the business or are too high on themselves. I will go elsewhere.

Terrible notary services. Long-time Chase customer who usually goes to Chase for notary needs. Hamzeh, the notary on duty at this location, couldn't figure out how to notarize a form verifying identity. Referred me to UPS instead but couldn't explain to me coherently why UPS would be able to complete the form vs Chase. Maybe a new notary grad? First time encountering this issue. Would not recommend this branch, try another Chase branch. Went to another notary and had it completed in 10 minutes. Chase - what happened to your usual excellent service?

Every time I come in here I have to wait until the tellers finish their personal storytelling before they call me up to the window. It has happened several times. They don't have a name tags so I can't complain specifically about them but it's always the two Indian girls with snotty attitude. Don't they get the concept of a service job? The purpose is to service me with my banking needs. It ALWAYS feels like I am inconveniencing them. NO ONE should ever feel that way when they are giving you their business!

Another crapfest a los altos chase. Really annoying they just assume everyone has nothin but time to dither around while they debate with customers about whether thry can get 100 or 300 Dollars . 5 other employees drifting around more people stacked up in line handicapped people waiting. Still arguing with the one crazy customer. We all are just thrilled tp be spending our Friday afternoon here. customer service is a job a skill be considerate of your customers tome we are not getting paid to listen to your debates no all of us are bored and lonely and have nothing to do with ourselves. Its a bank not a court house take deposits give cash seems easy to do

This is a great Chase location. There's always an open teller, the ATMs never have a line, and all of the employees are friendly and helpful. I most recently went in to re-open an account that I had closed previously, and was in and out in 20 minutes. I took off one star because parking can be a struggle, especially during busy downtown times. If you can't find parking on Main Street, however, there's always the parking lots behind the stores, but you have to go all the way around the block to get to them.

Supercilious tellers who act like they are doing you a favor. DMV representatives have better customer service skills.

Four tellers, four bankers and the only person "who is supposed" to help us with a simple safe deposit box matter has two other people waiting for her. She's very friendly and professional by the way. But it's been 40 minutes and counting, and something is fundamentally flawed in their system. I look forward to the opportunity to update this review with their much-needed improvement some time soon.

Wonderful, helpful, cheerful service, friendliest possible people, personal banking by name. Best bank I've ever used for daily accounts. Most highly recommended.

I went over this morning with so e questions and spoke with Linda. She was incredibly gracious and helpful. I banked here for years, when it was Washington Mutual, but switched banks. Now I wish I stayed. Everyone here is very helpful and cheerful. It's convenient for parking. Trying to figure out how to switch back! Highly recommend!!

This place, and its staff, ROCK!! I began banking here when it was WaMu, and gradually the morale declined to the point that the personnel was seemingly all brain dead or catatonic. After Chase took over it began to improve, bit by bit, and now it is just a really pleasant place to go into. They are very cheerful. Some of the staff quickly learn your name, and greet you by name when you come in. One time I arrived ten minutes after closing, and the door was not even locked and the staff welcomed me despite that it was time for them to go home. No, they don't bake cookies, like some of the cutsie banks, and the tellers don't sit at desks, like those pretentious banks, but they give you great personal service, and Chase's web capabilities and on-line banking services really rock too. I really like these folks.
