Take your money and go across the street for better food and service. At $18 for a meal, I'd rather fill myself up with sugary drinks from Starbucks.For what it's worth (which isn't much) the food is fine. Nothing special though. It feels like they went to the butcher across the street, bought some sausages, boiled them and then slathered a bunch of vinegar on it. You can make this at home. (The pretzel was also definitely under proofed, that dough was pilling)The main problem is that these people don't seem to know how to run a restaurant. The front is empty consistently, the food takes forever to come out, and there were lots of angry people waiting around for their to-go orders.Man, I was excited to try this spot out, but that was insanely disappointing.

Sadly won't be going back for breakfast. Both times they were barely busy but I thought they forgot about my order. Both times toast came out, toasted on one side, no butter. Frozen butter brought out after I asked. Now the toast is cold and butter won't melt. Sorry but that's a pretty basic breakfast requirement.

We used to really like this place, but it has really gone downhill. I ordered brioche breakfast sandwich, and it was made with two pieces of white bread toast, not a brioche! It has a slice of unmelted mozzarella cheese. The coffee was stale, and the service was very slow. The bakery is closed and it only seems to have store bought pastries; and the cookies look like they are prepackaged from a grocery store. The servers were nice.

Great food pretty authentic, good service too. Not many people sadly so the atmosphere is a little empty.

I love coming here on Sunday mornings for brunch and WhatsApp/Skype talks with those friends of mine for whom it is Sunday evening at that time. There is always enough space to sit, even though the place is popular.My favorite dish is Lovely Omelette. I also sometimes eat German omelette but ask to go low on bacon.

I had to stop by this German cafe during my time in Los Altos (it reminded me of a German bakery my mom loves in Berkeley). Great quality pastries and relaxing atmosphere! I tried the bee sting - creamy center and loaded with crunchy almonds! I will come back to try their savory food options when I'm in the area again!

The potato pancakes are great. Currywurst was good, but the sauce was a bit too sweet. Wiener schnitzel was big and tasty. Great salad and spaetzle too.

Change of ownership? I haven't visited for a few years and although the signage hasn't changed much there were no pretzels or any traditional German baked goods. We walked out with Tiramisu (?!) and noticed the pasta for sale near the door. Very strange.

I had to give this review one star because it won't let me post it without a rating. Should have read the reviews before coming here. We were not aware the ownership had changed. This place is NO LONGER authentic German Food. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between their potato pancake and a piece of cardboard. The pretzel would have made a great substitute for a hammer. It was cold, hard and had to ask the cashier to heat it up. She said she'd bring it out to us right away but forgot about it. She was not very friendly. Kase Spaetzel - our granddaughter had to turn up her nose and she's 4 Rouladen - looked like it was prepared weeks ago Sauerkraut- disgusting Red Cabbage - disgusting My husband is afraid he's going to have to spend the night in the bathroom with diarrhea.

Went for Lunch Food - 5/5. Schnitzel was a beautiful golden brown having a crispy bite with tender pork. Mushroom gravy was delicious with a balanced flavor that brought life to both the schnitzel and spatzle. Despite being a cream-based sauce, healthy amounts of herbs kept the flavor fresh and vibrant. Spatzle had good bite on them with a nice sear. Service - 4/5. Quick and friendly. Value - 5/5. Their jagerschnitzel is priced at $22, including the spatzle. Portion sizes are huge with the schnitzel nearly covering the whole plate with just as much spatzle underneath. Fantastic German spot! Parking - Mall Lot (Free)

Currywurst and schnitzel were pretty good. Pretzel was tough and not very good. Service was slow. We waited 40 minutes for our food in a pretty empty restaurant.

They have a nice patio in the back. I got the bratwurst plate with red cabbage and potato salad. It was OK, but not great. The place was completely empty for lunch. We had to order at the front and they brought our food to us ... service was OK.
