We could not be more thrilled with LACS!! Our son has been enrolled there since Kindergarten and has had incredible teachers all along the way. The environment in nurturing and vibrant, the campus well-kept and the instructors and staff are top-notch. Our son is so excited to go to school each day! He comes home talking about his amazing friends, what he learned, etc. The school events really help build community, and we feel very connected with other families in our son's class. We could not have found a better fit for our family and for our son. Highly recommend LACS!!

This school is a Godsend! My son had a very hard year in kinder and I heard about Los Altos from a few close friends. His teacher has been so great with him this year, she really takes the time to get to know him and his academic and social needs. He's shown so much growth this year in first grade already. The teachers seem to have a lot of support at this school and everyone I've encountered has been very responsive (email back within a day if not sooner). This place has a lot of love to give and I'm so proud to be part of the LACS community!

This school has been the best choice for my child. He is in Kindergarten and you will not find better teacher than Ms. Taylor. He is thriving! He complains that there's not school on weekend and asks for extra homework:)

This is our first year at LACS, and we are absolutely blown away by the peaceful, joyful, and loving environment. We switched schools because our son wasn't thriving at another private Christian school, and he has just flourished under the thoughtful, structured, kind environment of LACS. This is a hidden gem - well worth the value. It goes above and beyond in caring for the whole child and is academically rigorous. They also have an abundance of after school and fun holiday camps and activities. I highly recommend!

Los Altos Christian School is truly an exceptional educational institution that provided my son with an incredible foundation for academic success, personal growth, and spiritual development. From the moment we enrolled our son at LACS, we knew that we had made the right choice. The teachers and staff at LACS are dedicated professionals who truly care about their students. They work tirelessly to create a nurturing, supportive environment where students can thrive. My son flourished under their guidance and instruction, developing a love for learning that has served him well throughout his academic career. Not only did LACS provide my son with an excellent academic education, but it also instilled in him a deep sense of values and character. The school's commitment to Christian education and values-based teaching was evident in everything they did, from classroom instruction to extracurricular activities. As a result of his time at LACS, my son was well-prepared for the challenges of high school and beyond. He dominated in high school, earning top grades and excelling in sports and extracurricular activities. His hard work and dedication paid off when he was awarded a full-ride scholarship to a prestigious midwestern university. We are so grateful for the exceptional education and life-shaping experience that our son received at Los Altos Christian School. We highly recommend LACS to any family looking for an outstanding educational experience that will prepare their child for success in all areas of life.

This is a great school for twice exceptional (2e) students. The school curriculum level is high and the teachers are very kind and qualified to teach students with SLD (Specific learning disabilities) such as ADHD, and executive functioning issues. The teachers are patient, gentle, kind, and encouraging. My son felt the positive connection with each teachers that he was encouraged. He is in 7th grade. Here are some of the positive experiences. Math teacher noticed that my son's folder was disorganized/ incomplete. She asked for my permission first and worked with my son to label folders and put appropriate papers as well as creating homework folders during team-time (office hours) after school. She even texted me when my son did well at school so that I could compliment him at home. She worked with him on writing out neatly so the works can be seen clearly. All teachers emailed or texted me for missing assignments that needed attention quickly even on Friday evenings and weekends so that I could follow up with my son at home. Science teacher taught concrete and practical side of science such as environmental effects of pollution on plants down to cellular levels and labelling them. She also suggested picking up instrument to improve fine motor skills, so my son is learning viola now. She even had him bring viola to team-time to hear him play and make suggestions on how to play and practice better. English teacher would have the students write compositions step by step manner by showing and several example of what the final project should look and the steps are confirmed each time. She was so encouraging and didn't mind going over the steps or explaining it again clearly. All teachers put detailed comments on all assignments as well as giving the students the opportunities to do over. The history teacher covered world history with topics in details such as Chinese history by dynasties Japanese History by dynasties, Western history, West African civilizations, etc. and had the students pick a topic to deep dive for presentations, such as the effects of Western commercialism on Australian and New Zealand natives. The teachers set the students for success. The religion teacher's assignments for the students makes them think as well as covering different different religions. There's separate writing labs where the students gets to continue with the subjects matters/ assignments covered during English. Also, whenever there's a major writing projects from different subjects, the teacher collaborates with the English teacher to help the students. For example, science teacher would communicate with the English teacher for the end of the year science report and posters. The students were instructed to put together a formal science project report including premise, procedures, and conclusions including the relevance of their projects and credits to the people who helped them. This instruction was repeated, and reviewed over several weeks while the students were working on their projects so that they could review and modify their reports as the results were gathered. The students were set up for success. Students get rigorous work outs during PE. Music time is very hands on They were learning rhythm on drums and to play guitar last time I heard from my son. The staff at the school are kind and know everyone's names. If the children wanted a quiet place, they are welcome to sit in designated rooms or desks in the office. The school is very accommodating to the needs of the students. The staff and the teachers go beyond the school environment to help the students. The Mrs. Hibbert, the acting school head, is attentive listener and helpful. The communication channel is so open. If your children are discouraged and struggling at school and their teachers don't seem to know how to help them, I would definitely recommend LACS. It's a hidden gem. I wish I knew about this school earlier.

This is a fantastic school. They are especially good for high functioning kids with some special needs. The staff is kind and nurturing and highly qualified. The curriculum is at a high level and due to the small class sizes your child will have the attention that he or she needs. Highly recommended!

My son has been attending Los Altos Christian School (LACS) since he was in the sixth grade. One of the main differences between LACS and other high schools in the area is that LACS offers the LD (Learning Difference) options for those who need it. LACS is a small school so that students who prefer small school settings will feel welcome at this school, whereas big schools may not offer such environment. Please feel free to email -

LACS was instrumental in helping my son achieve his goal of attending Army and Navy Academy this Fall. The school was dedicated to meeting my son where he was and teaching him the skills he needed to be a successful student. LACS helped my son grow both academically and as a person with small class sizes and more importantly, through the individual attention and guidance he received from his teachers and the administration.

Quality education, teachers, and administration. My daughter has improved academically and has found confidence in her abilities, leadership potential, and in advocating her needs. Individualized attention, small teacher student ratios, and lots of guidance around character building. What a wonderful school. Thanks you, LACS!

We moved our child to Los Altos Christian Schools (LACS) for his middle school/6th grade from a very good elementary school system. LACS has provided an extremely nurturing academic environment for our child. The entire staff including the Principal is very approachable and this has helped us parents collaborate well with them to ensure our child is successful in his academic pursuit. Our son is thriving in this school. Teachers use multi-modal methods to impart instruction in the classroom and this has immensely helped our child. The small class size helps the teachers better manage the class and attend to the needs of our child. The online system for communicating everything around homework, assignments, grades etc. keeps us parents stay abreast of what is happening in school/class. Our child is also being taught all the right values in life. Based on our experience, I will recommend LACS to any parent that is looking for a great middle school!

My two children have attended LACS since they were 2 years old. It is an amazing community, highlighted by a group of very special teachers who take the time to get to know and love each child individually. It is very much a community, where the teachers and staff collaborate to learn about each child's needs and help them develop in both character and intellect. We couldn't be more thankful for LACS and the education our children have received there.

Both our children have been attending Los Altos Christian Schools since the ages of two and have continued their academic journey while growing within the Christian faith. The teachers are truly devoted and committed in helping their students learn and grow as individuals. The staff are always willing to go over and beyond their time to assist students in any way possible, not only academically but faithfully. The new Principal, Mr. Gabriel Pethtel is an absolutely incredible administrator who has made remarkable changes throughout the school by enhancing the curriculum to include the latest technology and teaching material, raising the par for the staff to challenge students academically, incorporating an open-door-policy, and opening up many educational paths. With the updated changes that have been made under the new administration, the Middle School curriculum now offers a much broader spectrum of new academic exposure courses, leadership skills, and wonderful opportunities for students to be involved in community services. We have been amazingly impressed with the growth of our daughter at Los Altos Middle School, not only as an individual but as a child of Christ who has grown in character, responsibility, and respect while still being academically focused. Without any question, it is evident that the clear and solid vision currently existing in both academic and spiritual paths for the middle school students prepares them for a successful transition into any high school with ease. While our other child currently attends the elementary school and will move on to sixth grade, he has asked to remain at Los Altos Christian Middle School. The teachers have been very supportive in providing motivation for him to excel in above grade level courses, and we have every trust that the faculty in the middle school will continue to implement that level of determination and success. We highly recommend Los Altos Christian Schools where each and every student and family is not only warmly welcomed but highly valued. It is an excellent school that builds a strong foundation for students to prepare for the years ahead. Placing our children at Los Altos Christian Schools was the best decision we have ever made, and we are truly blessed to see that both our daughter and son have been so happy, grown with confidence, are always eager to learn, and look forward to going to school, from their first day of Preschool to the last day of Middle School!

LACS is a blessing to our family. Our kindergartner jumps out of the car every morning smiling ear to ear, running full speed to play with his class before morning bell rings. He is learning in leaps and bounds, both academically and socially. The teachers and staff pour so much love and joy into the students. One thing that really stands out about LACS is how completely and genuinely happy the students are. They enjoy school and love being there. The students are exceptionally articulate, confidant, and just seem comfortable in their own skin. They understand and respect the boundaries and treat each other with kindness, respect and encouragement. At LACS our son is growing, thriving and constantly affirmed in the love of Christ. LACS is a wonderful school and a very special place.
