Overall I’ve had a positive experience with this branch but I was very disappointed to learn today that they’ve eliminated their Saturday hours. This is a step in the wrong direction.

I'm not sure what bank doesn't have a 24/7 phone number. Trying to see if a check I got from their bank is fraud or not

Horrible experience at the Los Altos Branch. I was working with one Teller who I think might have been new so she asked another Tellers (who I think was a Manager) for help. That is totally fine. So the other Teller/Manager came over. I did not understand how the numbers were not adding up and she was extremely condescending and rude in the way she was talking to me. The other Teller had written my account totals on paper so, understandably not wanting my account totals to be left on a random paper, I tried to take the paper so I could shred it at home. The Teller (maybe Manager?) actually grabbed the paper from me and started to literally pull it out of my hands. Then (AFTER doing that) she said there was information on also written on the back- she should have said this before she tried grabbing it out of my hands. Now I understand the other 1 star reviews for this branch. That was horrible experience and I will only be going to my local Wells Fargo (where the Tellers and Managers are very helpful and professional) from now on.

Warning to customers at Wells Fargo bank:1. On 9/30/19, I deposited a cashiers check for $50k. I was shocked to know that they can't release the funds until 10/9/19.2. Heritage bank the issuing bank had released the funds in the same day but Wells Fargo needs more time to it?8/30/21I logged into my online banking today and just as I expected: nothing changed that impressed me. The secure messages are not comforting but hope they will be nicer to me because my San Francisco Potrero Hill Home financed by Wells has reached a time for me to Refinance and I can find a friendlier bank who can give me 100% Customer Support.

I did not expect that level of service.Totally surprise. Thank you Moshie. She explained all the options available, set up the acct, get the checks printed, get the online acct setup on the phone, PIN set for the ATM debit card. Even better, everything completed in 31 mins.Thank you! Moshie...

Went to the bank to make a wire transfer for an escrow payment. Staff there, including a manager, were unable and unwilling to help. Told me to come back some other day. What kind of bank is that that sends you away when you actually need them for a critical financial transaction?

Went from having horrible ATMs to some of the best. I can finally deposit 20 to 30 checks at a time without having the ATM choke and vomit out crumpled checks and having to revert to depositing a check at a time. NFC connectivity at the ATM also means you don't have to carry your card, just your mobile phone. From 2017:Utterly horrible ATM's cannot accept more than one or two checks at a time let alone the thirty the machines claim.

Yes, Luis does not want to help anyone, he just wants to put walls between you and your ability to get something done.Stay away from him.

Varsha Shah was very helpful and provided great customer service. I asked to withdraw some cash and she was very discrete about it. I wish the Mountain View Castro branch would do the same, blurting out amounts isn't the best thing to do or the safest no matter what the amount is.

If you are in a hurry don't come here. The tellers are very "personal" meaning if you aren't with one of the two tellers you WAIT. There is an Asian greeter man who asks some customers if they need help but not me, not sure why. If you need smaller denominations in cash they have a special ATM in the lobby. Parking was easy. The teller wait made me late for my appointment though.

We have been with Wells Fargo for many years, worked with numerous branches, and our CONCLUSION -- this Los Altos branch is our go-to bank now. Specifically Mr. Tim Heaney in this branch is the guy you should talk to with any account issues! We have a small business, all of our Personal and Business accounts (more than 20 different accounts total) were opened in this branch. We had no problems until in January 2015, we had our identity/accounts breached. In a rush, we went to another branch that was closer to our home (we moved to Sunnyvale), locked up those stolen accounts and re-opened new ones. That was the beginning of our nightmare, all of our accounts got messed up since then, and the we spent months after months dealing with different local branches to fix with those issues, nothing got fixed and we were extremely frustrated. The situation finally got better since we went back to Los Altos branch and talked to Tim. Tim handled everything in a professional matter, instead of sending us home waiting, he sat down with us, FOR HOURS, patiently went through each one of the account, dug into the bottom of the issues, consolidated, cleaned it up, and re-set up each account, finally all of those puzzles got un-locked and now our accounts are in good shape again. We cannot express how grateful we are to Tim after a year of ordeal. Yan Sunnyvale

The branch in downtown mountain view on Castro Street is awful. After being denied the service of purchasing Euros at the Castro Street branch, i sat in my car with my phone and called 4 other Wells Fargo branches in the Mountain View/Sunnyvale/LosAltos areas. The Sunnyvale and Grant Road Mountain View branches told me to call the Castro Street branch. well no help there. I finally called the Los Altos branch, and spoke with Mr. Patel. Mr. Patel was terrific. He listened to my story about the run around i was given at the Castro Street branch, and he invited me to come to the Los Altos branch. he said that they had Euros and that i could purchase the desired amount there. I drove there and mr Patel greeted me, and referred me to Ken. Ken was terrific; he handled my purchase efficiently and gave me pointers about atm withdrawals in europe and foreign transaction fees. (note: i will not use my wells fargo atm or credit card in europe since Ken warned me about these fees! i will use a different bank's card, one that doesn't charge foreign transaction fees!) Anyway, in a nutshell, my bad experience at the Castro Street location was terrible, but Mr. Patel and Ken saved the day. Do bank at this location; they understand customer service.

This is about the service provided by Joanna and her team of mortgage consultants. Joanna came recommended, and we found her very professional and prompt. However, another lender offered us better terms, so I politely refused to go with Wells (and Joanna agreed she couldn't match the terms). However, her team then marked my application as rejected for credit reasons. I suspect this looks better for her internal metrics, but it damages the prospective clients' credit ratings. Beware of this tactic by WF and this specific team. If you go with them, you're probably fine. But if you find better terms elsewhere, they will damage you.
