I could write a novel about how much I adore Olivia! I got married this past May, and Olivia was the best part about the entire wedding planning process. She is so kind and funny, she altered my dress PERFECTLY. She also made me the most beautiful custom gloves!! I received so many compliments on them. ❤️

A fantastic and memorable experience at ASIT. My wedding wardrobe wouldn't have been the same without them. Olivia guided me through each of my custom looks, including tailoring and custom embellishments that she suggested which made my looks unique and show stopping. Everything fit to perfection. Most importantly, I had such a great time working with Olivia. She offered guidance and support through what is undoubtedly a stressful time as a bride! It made the days leading up to my wedding fun and memorable as we created these looks. I felt like a princess. Highly recommend ASIT for a high end, personalized and fantastic experience for your special time as a bride.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Olivia at A Stitch in Time! My wedding dress needed a lot of alterations, and she took her time as she made them, having multiple appointments with me across several months to ensure the fit was perfect for my wedding. Although their services are expensive, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use her again - you truly get what you pay for!

Her craftsmanship was executed with utmost precision, resulting in absolute perfection. She skillfully brought my vision to life by creating two veils - one long and one short - exceeding all my expectations. Furthermore, Olivia's delightful demeanor and work ethic make her an absolute joy to collaborate with. I wholeheartedly endorse Olivia and enthusiastically recommend her services time and time again.

Wow wow wow to Anne for restoring my dream wedding dress (that was so out of my price range that I bought the sample) to looking brand new!!! She did a job so perfect, no one knew the condition I bought it in! The designer even reposted a photo of it never knowing I'd bought it with rips and tears. It fit wonderfully, and I'm very happy with how the train was able to be tucked up into an elegant bustle. Forever grateful! ♥️

Anne and her daughter did an amazing job making me fall in love with my dress. I originally went in with buyers remorse, but could mot return the dress as it was a sample. Anne was very helpful with ideas of what to do to make it more of the dress I had envisioned. Her daughter made me custom sleeves that completely changed the dress. I was so happy with their work and highly recommend them.

Okay, here's the truth—the good and the bad about A Stitch in Time.Cons:-My dress was not fully complete after I picked it up! I paid $800+, and when I landed in Iceland for my wedding and took my dress out, there were pins where Anne was going to bring up the dress (image attached). That was VERY disappointing.-No weekend appointments-The front door is locked, and even after knocking several times, I was not let in until 5-10 minutes after my scheduled appointment. If you have appointments, you should at least have the front door unlocked so your clients can walk inside the waiting area.Pros:-Anne did a fantastic job altering my dress, even if it wasn't complete.-Anne is charming and made me feel very comfortable.Would I recommend this business? Yes, but I would make sure you double-check your dress to make sure all the portions of it are finished, expect to wait outside a bit, and deal with LA traffic since there were no early morning or weekend appointments.

Olivia is fantastic to work with! I ended up working with her for a little over 2.5 years since we postponed our wedding due to COVID. Her prices for my minor alterations (hemming the bottom of the dress and reinforcing the back of the dress so the beaded closures actually stay shut) were very fair and she did great work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to another bride. Thanks, Olivia!

Olivia was fantastic to work with! My dress fit like a glove and was perfect. She was very organized and set all of my fitting dates up front, which I found very helpful. She was also able to accommodate appointments on the weekend since I could not make it during weekday business hours due to work. In addition to alterations for my dress, she also made me a veil that matched the color of my dress perfectly and was gorgeous! Go with Olivia and you will be in very good hands!!!

During the pandemic, I did all my wedding dress shopping online. I found the last dress in stock (of any size) of a Sachin & Babi gown with unique embroidery and a yellow belt -- perfect for the artsy vibe of our wedding. Since it was the last one I could find anywhere, I didn't want to take any chances with alterations, so I went to the best of the best, Olivia! She took in the sides, and altered the sleeves to a beautiful 3/4 balloon sleeve style (so I didn't look like I was being swallowed by the dress). She also made me a custom hair piece with yellow-orange beads to tie the look together. I received many wonderful compliments on the day of, and (more importantly) I was very comfortable throughout the entire wedding! I can't recommend Olivia, A Stitch In Time, and French Love Bridal Accessories enough!

Well, I really hate giving bad reviews. Even when it's necessary I usually don't do it because my experience could always just be unique to me and I would hate to sway someone's opinion. However, I think I need to say a few things about my experience with my wedding dress alterations. I had 4 fittings and everyone was nice but didn't always love that every single time I was asked if I would be getting a second dress which would be more "fun" for the reception. I loved my big dress and paid a lot of money for it and didn't want to be made to feel self-conscious about my decision. However, I let it go. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and so I figured that it wasn't a big deal. However, anytime I asked if we could shorten the dress I was told that's not how the dress is supposed to be and that it would be "too much work" which is a little strange since I was paying for the alterations. But again, I didn't say anything and figured they knew what they were doing. When I went to pick up the dress, 3 days before my wedding, they were still sewing it which made me anxious. I tried it on, it looked nice, was still worried I would trip but was told as long as I stand up straight I should be fine. On my wedding day I took my dress out of the bag and immediately poked myself with 2 pins that were still in the dress, luckily I didn't get any blood on the dress but my 3 year old niece did step on one of the pins later by accident and she almost wasn't able to walk down the aisle. The cups were barely sewn in, the bustle ended up breaking, my wedding planner had to cut the entire bottom of my dress after the ceremony because I was tripping all over it and use safety pins to help me bustle it.The dress was beautiful, the day went on, the wedding was great. But honestly the whole thing was a tiny bit of my worst wedding fear coming to life and who needs that on their big day.Look, it seems like a lot of people had great experiences here and this shouldn't take away from that, but unfortunately I wasn't one of them.
