If you are looking to, you know, spend a hundred bucks plus for some soap, then Aesop is the shop for you! This is their downtown la location, up the block from the Ace hotel. Minimalist interior but obviously they have all the Aesop stuff. No post p*** drops right now however, those are subject to recall (don't worry they will be back soon) .

Easy to miss Aesop in the hip area of DTLA. All the expected products and ability to try anything you'd like. The staff is very nice. Note they do not ship from the store, only purchase and take.

1 star even though Aesop is 5 stars in my heart. This is specifically for this location. If you're going to be listed as open until 7, please be open until 7 unless there's a sudden disaster or emergency happening. Spent a bunch of time trying to figure out where to park as is normal for dtla, arrive around 6:20 and walk up to a locked door but 2 employees inside. I'm standing at the door (it's glass) and eventually a couple minutes later finally they open the door and apologize but they closed early so they could do inventory. There's something wrong here... either the manager of the day thinks they can get away with turning down customers in order to make their inventory day easier by not having any transactions to account for in the last hour... Or the GM of the shop is really mismanaging their shop by allowing sales figures to be disturbed by inventory (which honestly is something that should be done either before or after shop hours?). Either way I'm out of time and parking money and left empty handed from what I was trying to get so... that's a 1 from me.

'm extremely loyal to my Downtown Aēsop store, but my first ever visit to the Silver Lake Aēsop boutique - I was just in the neighborhood, Downtown Aēsop, I swear! - showed the same great level of customer service I'm accustomed to at my normal location for expensive Antipodean botanical-based bath-and-body esoterica. Of course, the assistant was one I'd met at the Downtown store, and she was just as lovely in Silver Lake as she ha been on Broadway. And Aēsop is always fantastic in my book. I love the stuff, despite the prices - and I know those prices are painful. But look at the ingredient label of a bottle of Aēsop anything and then look at the ingredients of the "organic" "Earth friendly" anything else. Even Korres, which has a fairly natural, hippyish reputation, reads like an AP Chemistry textbook next to Aēsop. For me to part with $50 for a bottle of face cleanser (which I've done repeatedly), it better work a damn miracle. Aēsop's products have helped me with some troublesome skin issues where everything else (including scary prescriptions) has failed. Their products are heavily botanical based (check the labels), with no added fragrance other than the active ingredient botanical oils, and Aēsop isn't a company masquerading as a chic, bleeding edge brand that's actually owned by a superconglomerate (see: Le Labo, Frédéric Malle). It's genuinely independent. I'm a fan, both of Aēsop in general and this store in particular. So go! Buy some $27 hand cream! Be fancy! That stuff lasts forever, anyway...

Sometimes one moment, one sentence, one thing just turns a relationship completely around. Something goes from really good to incredibly bad in the blink of an eye. And that's what happened today at the Downtown Aēsop. An employee that I've known for years there took a joke the wrong way and proceeded to scold and lecture me ― not to ask what I meant but to talk down to me and shame me. I was being sardonic (as anyone who has read my reviews on Yelp will know is my wont), thus her accusations were baseless, so the humorless schoolmarm tone was unappreciated, especially to someone who has regularly dropped so much money at that store.I have passed up buying items at other Aēsop stores in order to make my purchases at the Downtown store. When it was closed for Coronahysteria, I waited until it reopened to restock rather than purchase online. But not any more. I'll make my Aēsop purchases elsewhere from now on.

Very friendly staff I learned here that with my professional license I get discounts on products which helped me so much in building my kits for hair, makeup, and spfx makeup.

Loooooove Aesop!! Especially this location! So I randomly popped in to just check out a product I saw online and ended up staying there for over 30 mins! The staff there was soooo nice, helpful and INFORMATIVE! First visit: tested out different products, learned about each and every one of them. Lucy and Kirsten were there that day and my gf and I had the best time. They were also so sweet and sent my friend and I some samples as well. Second visit: I called in and ordered 10 ARRIVAL kits. I wanted to include them in my bridesmaids proposal boxes that I was presenting to my girls! Only the best for my besties! When I went to pick them up, Lucy and Kirsten were there again and they had it all beautiful wrapped. They even threw in samples for each of my girls AND they surprised me with a product I was eyeing the last time I was there to congratulate me on my engagement!! SOOOO SWEET! Their top notch customer service sets this location apart from the other locations. Thank you Lucy for your patience and the time you took to explain to me about the brand and different products! And thank you Kirsten for creating a comfortable environment for us to shop and get educated. You definitely have a appreciative customer in me!

The team is so nice! There was a mistake with a purchase I made and they handled the situation very well and shipped me a new package with lots of added goodies and a very nice hand written note. It was a gift for my mom so it made her day when she opened it! Shout out to Kirsten at AÄ“sop DTLA for being the best! Much appreciated!

Since my skin has cleared up (after seeing Kim & the gang at Aesop Downtown LA) I only go in for their acne treatments a few times a year. This has been an amazing development. Also, I like to be pampered from time to time so I've been trying to figure out where I could get an "acne safe" spa facial. Good news! Now Aesop Downtown LA is offering them! I just got one with Allyson, and after my skin was super hydrated and I was uber relaxed. Loved the massage portion!
