Don’t make reservations on this place and think you are set for your event. They sale you’re reservation then they call you that everything is sold out. Is unprofessional.

I wish I could give them no stars because the service was pathetic and they have no communication between their staff on the 5th floor and downstairs. They do not understand their own processes. They have a new valet program which none of the staff is aware of, and they’re very ignorant as well.Karla who was at the front desk knew nothing. AVIS customer support was of no help too. We ended wasting soo much time here.

We rented the car for 4 days and ended up returning it on the first day, as our plans had changed. They gave us a check and said they would return a certain amount, but in the end they returned $340.6 less. Now it will be sorted out and submitted for verification, this is not normal! We drove the car for exactly 2 hours, filled it up completely, and it was perfectly clean. We require you to contact us and answer your reservation number 770218363.When will you get your money back!!!! 4 months have passed.

The staff is very helpful and went out of thier way to help me rent a vehicle. The location is perfect for quick in and out of DTLA when you need a car and easy to access. I recommend this place for your L.A. stays.

Very bad customer service, we pre paid for a SUV car which they gave to someone else. We were offered a smaller car without giving us any refund even though we paid for the expensive option and they only had the cheaper smaller car. The lady at the desk was also very rude. This is a second time we have had a similar experience at the same location.

This AVIS outlet is terrible, very poor customer service.I returned the car within the grace period and they still charged me an extra hour. I had proof of the timing and they were being unreasonable saying they recorded it as the time they input into the system. SUPER BAD SERVICE. They also added in the refueling charge when they told me, it would be okay when i mentioned I had an issue while refuelling. Again, trying to scam and make money of customers. I called them up and they were not making any effort to make this case better. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!

Car was dirty staff were rude and very unprofessional, made a reservation for Toyota Camry, and was given a different vehicle. Very dissatisfied.

We picked up our car at Figueroa Street and returned at SFO Airport with a charge for additional driver 13 USD per day. The man at the airport told us to contact L.A.

Update: I emailed like they told me to, and was replied to with a copy-pasted paragraph that my rate does not include additional drivers. As I already stated, California law does not allow these charges. Complete joke.This location routinely violates California law. I've been charged multiple times for additional drivers that are specifically excluded from such charges, like my spouse and parents. Every time the location has another excuse like "it's automatic and I can't remove it", "the law changed" (no it did not), etc.Incredibly frustrating experiences here, would recommend choosing a different Avis location.

Disappointing experience w/ Avis at this Los Angeles location. We rented a car for one day in May 2023. Franchise billed us for return of a “dirty car”. Totally bogus claim. After having to wait for over 2 months to get a refund of this ridiculous charge we finally told them we were going to contact the FTC who regulates car rental companies. Total sham of a rental operation. Never rent from here. Poorly managed! Today we finally received a letter from their corporate office letting us know they would take appropriate steps to investigate this agency. Still waiting for the situation to be resolved.

Prepare to be strictly punctual with this place!!!? We booked for 9:30 and arrived in 10:20, they say the car is gone and we have to try our luck with next available car without any possible replacement, because we are late. Booked across US and never had any issue with late pickup. Maybe there’s limited cars here but no advance heads up sent even though they do send confirmation text. No customer service at all.

This place is the worst. I had to return my car, and it took 30 minutes of standing in a line just to do so. I almost missed my flight as a result. Their systems are so antiquated it takes 15 minutes for each customer to check out. The one guy who works there is great, but it's impossible for him to service all of the customers quickly enough.

Picked up from LAX, it took more than an hour to pick up the car because of how busy it was. The car was very scratched and smelled of smoke and cigarettes. We immediately asked to swap it and they said they didn’t have any alternatives even though we were in a parking lot full of hundreds of cars. We called customer service the next day who explained they couldn’t do anything and we had to go to our nearest dealership to exchange the car. We had paid $1500 for a premium rental so this was not the service we expected. Will never use Avis again.
