Quin and Teresa from Basil did an AMAZING job catering my Halloween party! The pizza was OFF THE CHARTS. Chewy, sourdough-y crust fired to perfection!!! The margarita, mushroom and meat lover were all fantastic. They kept them coming so there was always hot pizza available throughout the event. The kale salad was fantastic and the grilled vegetables were a hit!!! Quin and Teresa were lovely to work with, professional, and accomodating. I think they left my patio cleaner than when they arrived!!!

I was in a crunch because my carter last minute cancelled on me and BASIL PIZZA BAR CATERING came to the rescue! The Chefs for my event were Quinn and Leo and I couldn't ask for better service. The were professional, clean and accommodating! I will definitely be using them again for a future event. My guest kept telling me that the pizza dough/crust was a fan favorite.

We love the Basil Pizza Team! This was our second time using them for our big event, and our friends love them too. So much so, that they have started hiring them for their events. Even with the rain, the team kept smiling and cranking out the pizzas. Plus, they were able to accommodate even the pickiest eaters. This team is the BEST!

I've had the honor of hiring Basil Pizza Bar for 3 events, and just hired them for the 4th, all within 6 months. Communication has been extremely quick and concise with DK. Food has been amazing and the team has been nothing short of professional. I've hired them for a parties of 30 - 200. Been great and consistent every single time! Looking forward to having them for my next party next week!

Basil Pizza from ordering to delivery to service were very professional, accommodating and friendly. Calls and questions were answered promptly. Our event ended being rained on. Our servers were the best sports about enduring along with the guests a rainy end of the evening. I highly recommend Basil Pizza Bar!

We used Basil Pizza for our backyard wedding party. The food was outstanding, the set up was very professional yet fun, and the communication before, during, and after the event was excellent. I would absolutely hire them again!

You get what you pay for.PROS:- Variety of food will be way cheaper than most options in the LA/OC area which will have a $$ for each "section"/type of food. Cobbling together gets expensive. Here it was fairly easy to create a holistic menu that's fairly custom.- They have tasting events where you can try out sample of the food.- The chefs themselves were hospitable and from what we heard from the guests generally pleasant.- People liked the pizzaCONS:- The food is inconsistent and CAN BE mid. We went with them knowing this but figured the variety was more important. It's not the worst food and definitely some items are better than others but for instance the crudités they served us at the tasting event had awfully stale bread and was the first thing we tried. Their pizzas are definitely decent but try all the flavors as again some are better than others. Thankfully the day of the wedding most guests seemed happy with the food.- They are NOT organized. The tasting event we attended started late, they were still setting up well into the start of the event. They also were in conflict with the venue that hosted their event - it seems they did not align on the event time so had to wrap up early and there was some drama, which was pretty uncomfortable to be around. When you're spending thousands of $$ this is a little discomforting.- Niamani Brown, Catering Manager, does NOT pay attention nor give time to check details. We emailed her multiple times with the updated venue address (our VERY FIRST initial inquiry was a Downtown LA address that we only sent once an a form) yet on her FINAL confirmation email to us (the WEEK of our wedding) and also in the first version of our Event Agreement she put the DTLA address even though we mentioned multiple times that the event was in Anaheim. Imagine: your wedding day is 5 days away and your caterer sends you an email saying they're going to DTLA instead of Anaheim. Naturally you are panicked. Not once did Niamani apologize or acknowledge that we had communicated this information before and that she failed to make the necessary updates. Own up to your mistakes at least, it's the professional thing to do. To mess up AND to not take accountability...that's a recipe for a bad review like this.- Continuing the point above, Niamani sent a "standard" template email asking questions about things that had already been asked and answered throughout the process. She could've sent a courtesy email saying, by the way you will receive a set of questions that is part of our standard process, etc. Or again acknowledged that this information had been shared before. I spent an hour answering this email (days before my wedding) instead of her taking the time to answer what had been answered and adjusting to what she still needed. She asked about parking and where to set up - I sent her a diagram of the entire venue with clear instructions and she still had questions, but not specific ones, about parking. Did you even look at the diagram? Please, do SOME work here. Isn't that part of the service too? Also, send these questions sooner. Why stress out the couple the week of their wedding. No reason you can't ask this 2-4 weeks in advance.- They are NOT flexible. They are of course in sales mode at the tasting event so when you ask them questions, it's all "Of course, sure no problem. We can do that. We're there to help, etc." Then it's the week of your wedding they're telling you no they can't be bothered to plug in the lights and that you'll have to do that for them even though it's industry-standard that caterers bring their own shade and lighting equipment.- Lastly, Niamani tried to upsell us on an EXTRA chef right after we communicated the guest list was going to be SHORTER by about 11 people. "Though if it remains over 60, we will have to set the team up for success with an additional Chef." The original quote and SIGNED AGREEMENT was for 3 chefs for 76 guests. How are you just tell

It was good for one time but completely over priced and in my opinion not really the best communication. At the end I would not pursue this as an option for my party.

When you offer your best suggestions of dips for the crust as, #1 Mayo and #2 ketchup, you should realize what this biz is about. This is a friend supported, low-end pizza creating mess. Steer clear!
