The rooms are being remodeled tastefully. Construction was going on during my stay and it didn't matter because the finished product looks terrific. Everything was very clean, ample towels, and a great location. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. There is not much decent hospitality in the Hollywood area anymore and these people are above excellence in kindness and customer service. Bevonshire would be my top recommendation to anyone that will be in the area!

Disgusting room, smelled bad and of cigarettes. Under renovation so no seeing out the windows and building stuff all over, could barely get to our room. Horrible service and overall do not feel safe here. Sketchy as hell and gross.

The hotel was under renovation, which isn't a problem for me, but 1 - it smelt like cigarettes, 2 - the sheets had a stain. I asked for new sheets and it still had a stain. I was willing to let all that pass until 3 - we came back at night and found a cockroach. We had to sleep with the lights on and put our bags back in the carI complained about it the next morning and he did not seem to care.

If you are used to staying at 3 and 4 star hotels, this may not be the place for you. IF, however, you are not fussy and don't wish to pay $300-800 per NIGHT to be in Beverly Hills or Century City, this might be THE option for you. My stay cost under $100, and the parking was free. There seem to be a ton of security cameras all over the property, so I was only a little worried about parking off the back alley. I believe parking may incur a charge in the future once renovations are complete. The building is old but, as of this review, they are clearly working on renovations. The outside of the building, viewed from the small courtyard, looks pretty good. First impression of the room was not bad. BIG space, fridge, king bed, table, etc... Bathroom, especially the bathtub and shower-head, is seriously worn and needs replacement - but it works. Hot water was almost instant. Great water pressure. There are building materials staged in the courtyard, so more work should be happening soon.Yes, there is traffic noise, especially in the morning. If you are here on business, you'll probably need to be up by the time the noise becomes noticeable anyway.

Very disappointing even at this rather low price for central LA...No room service in 3 days, household appliances not clean at all, no door between the toilets and the room... very uncomfortable when there are 2 of youPoorly placed electrical outlets, no sockets in all, lack of equipment (no suitcase rack, no bedside light, etc.)Above all, noisy... and it doesn't come from the city but from the staff in the morning...

Best example of pay for what you get. Cheap and nasty, the aircon sounded like a jet engine. The renovations were noisy. But it's a bed with good proximity to Hollywood. So it did its job. Most probably, I would not stay here again.

The hotel gave my room away after confirming that they would hold it for me. I was not given a room and was told I was not going to be charged. They charged me anyway and now I have to fight to get my money back. I will NEVER try to stay here again. The hotel was under construction. Not very clean and as I left, I saw some of the clientele and was glad they didn't save my room. Felt a bit uneasy as I went back to my car.

Unbelievably much disturbing noise from the street outside all night and music from the surrounding restaurant and pub. Smells bad inside the rooms. The towels were full of hair and lint. Would need to be renovated. Centrally located and fairly safe area if you want to take a walk.

For the price it is what you get, basic and relatively close to tourist attractions.

This is depressing. Paid over 100 plus bucks, JUST for ONE night, and this the mess they give you in return. Not coming back here again. Extremely limited parking. Tight space. The one short Indian front desk guy was nice, but the facility needs major repair and better upkeep. Don’t overcharge people 5 star hotel prices, for 1 star rooms. This is upsetting. Least it’s only 1 night here for me. Imagine people staying here longer? Wow. Never again.

How do you spell "these people just don't care." It's like they've given up. On a ten scale, the room rated about a 1.5. The mattress had springs that were long ago sprung. The nightstands were missing drawers. There was no comfy chair. The surroundings are noisy (that I understand they can't really help). Limited parking did not allow for any berth between cars (and mine is a compact). The first tipoff should have been that the desk clerk is behind bulletproof plastic. If you're looking for a reasonably priced (and I'll give them that) hotel/motel in L.A., continue your search. (I upped it a star for primo location.)
