Worse customer service ever!! Came in to buy something and saw some mushroom squishmallows that were priced with a tag that said 2 for 9.99. I head to the register and the cashier Yessica rings them up at 10 each I tell her they're priced 2 for 9.99 and she calls half of the store for help two other employees say they're 10 each and everyone starts arguing and saying no they aren't 2 for 10 and I say why price them like that? Honor your price! and management said no. I work for a grocery store and I know for a fact that you're supposed to honor the price advertised. Every employee brushed it off like nothing. Saying they didn't have a manager on shift which store doesn't have a manager on duty or someone in charge?! These people need better management and better cashiers.

Jons marketplace of the building isn't the manager helping his customers what's a helpful way? This place was unsual shopping with my card it gave me a nice taste of organized inside and outside. It's racial profiling because of the looks the area manager gave the decision he's not affiliated with me I gave loud mouth because I was doing friendly suggesting around the store the manager was doing until I got displaced with how many managers got up close and personal to look at someone made me feel uncomfortable I was outraged I didn't get any greet other the an rude from the crowd control and not even a site of officials on the spot who could hire on the spot! I would just like to show my skills of working there and be able to help all without attitude or ever disrespectful. I even seen customers not get accused on their way in and out but they really start to stare when them managers start having a little Convo with cashiers and don't make the long entrance short I mean sum everything up about what you have to say this wasn't the spot to have chit chats it needs to be respectable not offensive because of the fights that don't seem to happen at store and u got to think of starting a riot manager please be.

This is an overdue review. I used to live in Little Armenia. I would buy my groceries at several supermarkets. This Jons was my go-to place for deli meats and cheeses. The selection was great. Add to that their fresh baguettes and you have yourself a tasty sandwich to make at home. I would come here for my fix of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern products. They carry good hummus, baba ganoush, dolma, olives, and that delicious garlic spread Zankou got me hooked on. The produce section is nice.

Much better places than this Jon's. Run by Covidiots. Bad customer service, don't respond to customer complaints. Will never shop here again.

Today I went to shop at Jons, one of my staple go-to ethnic supermarkets living in LA in the last several decades. I was so aggravated I had to post this. Melissa the cashier had such a nasty attitude when we approached her to purchase our products. She embarrassed us in front of other shoppers saying that our products were more than 10 items and we were at the express lane. Our items may have technically been 11 but 4 of them were large packets of water and she only had to scan 1 (4X$10) while the rest would remain in the cart, hence only 8 scannable items. EVEN if the items were classified as 11, that's not the customer service and attitude I would expect from an employee! What a shame! She continued to maddog us as we went to pay at a different cashier. The worst part - the supervisor Oscar Lopez dismissed and ignored us when we talked to him about the situation. He just boasted that he's the supervisor to me and did ZERO. Just WOW. How about some customer service training of employees at this store? Highly necessary!!

Could be that because all of my grandparents are from Eastern Europe that I am just programmed to want to eat everything from this market. I wouldn't buy my cold cuts from any where else. Choices in Russian mustard from "super hot" all the way to "atomic" Great bread. The only place I know to get Polish bear (although I usually choose from their great selection of real German beer) The clientele simply doesn't take Covid seriously for the most part, so I feel like I am taking my life in my hands to shop there these days, but definitely worth it.

Since this store is in a predominantly Armenian neighborhood and 90% of the staff is Hispanic. They are terrified of asking Armenian consumers for their mask on. I have seen many occasions in my visits to the store they try to enforce it even with security and fail. I know where I stand in this community, but this is one of the main stores for the neighborhood. Can not be managed so poorly and so feeble. They need to step forward and practice safety for their staff and their customers!!.

I'm always on the lookout for great deals on fruit and I hit the jackpot this week. I'm so glad I saw their ad for navel oranges at .89 a pound and bananas at .39 a pound. The bananas were still slightly green and not a bruise in site. The taste was perfect! The oranges were medium sized with a beautiful orangey hued peel. Explored the hummus section and found an interesting combo of cilantro and jalapeno. Sounded yummy, but unfortunately the taste was lacking in jalapeno. Bought some pita bread (6 slices) for .59 to go with the hummus. You will definitely find quite a bit of international baked goods. Today was definitely a good shopping day. Plenty of free parking in a shared lot.

Customer service is very poor and bad at this location. Checkers are rude and unprofessional.i don't know if corporate is cares about this ,which they should but the aggressive Attitude of checkers and management at this location never change. I went to the manager with a concern about checker and manager started to make a conversation in front of me in Spanish at the register which is unacceptable when it comes to customer service. Corporate please train and lecture your staff including management with better attitude and that English language should be there all the time during conversation in front of customer.

"NO RETURNS AND NO REFUNDS." Today I saw that on my receipt. I've posted reviews before about finding out products are spoiled after I get home (despite having a due date several days ahead). I didn't post on yelp my last sad event that happened a couple weeks ago when I opened a package of chicken wings to find them covered in slime and stinking (these were packed by the Jons butcher). According to the date, they might reach that state in a few days. I returned them and Customer Service said: "Go get another one." Yeah, right! I declined to exchange the wings and they gave me a refund. But now it looks like they've decided nobody can get their money back. Hmmm... I wonder why? My review today is mainly focused on a new incident: A customer should not leave a market with their heart pounding and their face hot from a confrontation with a checkout woman. But that's what happened today. It wasn't Jacqueline, who is consistently intelligent, friendly, and has an excellent customer service attitude (and wasn't working this morning). Although her issue with me could have been easily resolved, this checker today was so busy being condescending and rude, and creating drama...that it just wasn't worth it to argue with her. I told her to void the transaction and I took my groceries to the next checker. As I approached Checker No. 2, Checker No. 1 is yelling to her in Spanish, telling her side of things, which amounted to "Don't check her out..." (Yes, this Gringa understands Spanish.) I was, in fact, checked out very smoothly. But I was left with a high blood pressure attack that I'm still dealing with. Shame on Jons. I've been coming here long enough to know this mess will NEVER change. They've had the same bad management and same (mostly) ignorant, prejudiced checkout cashiers for years. And the Yelp reviews to prove it.

So, I've been going to Jon's on Magnolia in Valley Village for as long as they've been open. I like many things but here are just a few things to improve. If they improve it, I will increase my stars!! They need more ORGANIC fruits and veggies. This summer.....the organic fruit was almost non existent and when they have it, the plums were reasonably priced at $1.99 per lb but nectarines were something like $3.99 per lb. More expensive than Whole foods. No bueno!! No ORGANIC watermelon this year???? WE NEED MORE ORGANIC PRODUCE!!. Prices need to be more competitive! When the ORGANIC AVOCADOS were .79 cents each for the small ones, that was understandable and I bought 20 of them at time! But .99 for tiny ones? That is more expensive than Trader Joe's. WE NEED MORE ORGANIC FOODS AT REASONABLE PRICES and IF JON'S SAYS THAT THEY DON'T HAVE A CLIENTELE THAT UNDERSTANDS "ORGANIC".....TRUST ME....ALL THOSE OLDER RUSSIANS, ARMENIANS, POLS, AND MOST OF THE PPL FROM THE OLD COUNTRY WOULD MUCH RATHER BY ORGANIC IF IT'S AT A REASONABLE PRICE. I watch them and what they buy and what they check first! I'll be waiting for a response from Jons. Thank you for the vacuum packed fish with no preservatives and the ORGANIC farmers cheese, Polish RAW honey and all of your other ORGANIC PRODUCTS. I will not by any "natural" products. Only ORGANIC.. Doesn't need to be certified organic but I dont touch GMO nor products sprayed with glyphosates! Also it's definitely time to get RID OF THE PLASTIC BAGS! Plz offer brown paper bags with handles like TRADER JOES. Would love to increase these stars!!!!

They have international and local food. I love how I could find Georgian food and drinks like Thkemali, borjomi, nabeglavi. The prices are reasonable. I don't like sweet bread, so usually, it is hard to find the bread that does not taste like cake. I could find Jum bread there. I was so happy. Overall it is a great supermarket. I still buy it there. Service to me has been good. So I can not complain about it. It is usually a smooth experience.
