“A genuine hidden gem in Los Angeles. When you go into the building, you are met by stunning art deco, speakeasy, and forties vibes. I was astonished by how big the building is once inside. I am honored to be a visitor since you must be a member or have been invited. We had a great experience. Bartender on point :) Met some wonderful people as we enjoyed a night cap. If you have the opportunity, stop by. Thank you to all military personnel for your service.”
“I wanted to say thank you to the Hollywood American Legion Post 43 for their donation of food to our Station during the Palisades Fire.
Your generosity was very much appreciated by our Firefighters.
Thank you!!!”
“It is a small shop with very unique items for sale. Every item is a reminder of old days, or a reference to time traveling. All done very creative and with humor. It was well spend time here if you have 20 minutes or more to spare during your trip to LA.
There was an parking on the other side of the street, free for up to 30 minutes.”
“This is an amazing venue to host large scale events! I have attended multiple events at this location and each time I am in “awe” over the experiences!
Where else can one hosts multiple workshops on multiple subjects in multiple rooms of various sizes all while hosting exhibitors all over the grounds and serve breakfast at or lunch while providing guest with free parking!
Herein lies the rub…you have to book months in advance because everyone who is anyone is reserving this venue to hosts audiences of 500 or more!!
Enough said, just come to one of my events and be amazed!! Stay tuned!
RP (I am here to serve our banking and small business communitites)”
“I listened to a movie of Ryuichi Sakamoto's performance here, it was a perfect night. The service staff here are very professional. I lost a hat here. After contacting them, the very professional staff found my hat and helped me leave it in the guard room. I was really touched! thank you all!”
“Just got to visit once with my daughter. My grandson is hard of hearing. We went to Friday Family School. The staff is so helpful. They are engaging with the children AND adults. They teach the whole family so we can best help our children and grand children. The facility is clean & beautiful, too.”
“I loved it. I was taken aback because of the location but let me tell you that after I walk in, I was transported to another dimension. There is valet parking, certainly a plus. Inside you are provided with every you need. The event took place worry free. I would def. recommend it. It made me appreciate what Los Angeles has to offer.”

“Ring bell for Carlos if gift shop is shuttered but hours say open. Super delicious toffee. Pumpkin bread is their signature bakery hood and once seasonal only cranberry proved so popular it’s available year round. Be warned Carlos is an excellent salesman and you might leave feeling swindled but don’t worry everything you buy supports the nuns and boy does that peanut brittle sneak up on you proving Carlos correct. Eaten without it’s counterparts it is addictive bc it’s not sickly sweet like other brittle. Easy to polish off an entire bag. Carlos will also give a history of the monastery and tell lots of entertaining stories of visitors describing the goods as crack to which Carlos will reply that he has never tried crack so can’t rightfully compare. There are also more salacious Thorn Bird and Milkman esque gossip for the less easily offended. And nuns are human ones like when they go to See’s to check out the competition. Oh and you can also quiet reflect in chapel and gardens.”
“It has been over 20 years since I last visited your store, and I want to express my gratitude for your support of both me and the neighborhood when it was needed. The staff at the store are genuinely kind, compassionate, and truly care about the community. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.”

“I am in my late 80ts. I have a difficult time getting around, Dr's, marketing. The church, was there for me !! They have a special program for people like me, ANGELES. I have been able to not worry about getting to a Dr and market because of these Brentwood Presbyterian church angels. I try not to take advantage of their services unless it's really important”
“This Site holds some of the most helpful, empathetic and attentive staff of any SA We have worked with. Not only do they do their best to provide assistance and referrals whenever possible, They also go out of their way to make any experience with Them caring and genuine. Honestly, I would give Them 10 Stars if possible!”
“I like that fact it’s dog friendly! Today on the new year it took us almost 2 and half hours to get inside of the temple so make sure to arrive before 1 pm or 1:30 pm. The gate supposed to close at 3:30 but today they extended it little past 4pm.”
“I took a young friend years back and they were very instrumental in helping her with a disability find a dwelling. She always spoke well of it's helpfulness.I also took another friend who who was seeking aide for a relative. I would recommend it.”

“SOVA has helped me in many ways for many years. These are dedicated heroes. Lisa A. Wiley was a wonderful worker & friend to me. She moved north. But Dennis is still there. The best food pantry in Los Angeles County.”
“I love all the out of the closet locations so it's hard to pick a favorite but this might be it. (The weho used to be but things change, it's still my second fav) Reasoning: they have items in usually the best condition(Atwater location has the worst, most things are worn but they do get good inventory as well) & it's more lowkey here. Spacious and low lit lighting. Doesn't really get packed unless there's a sale. There's always hidden gems and I find the pricing to be fair - and they don't mark things crazily like the weho & East Hollywood ones do sometimes. Super festive during the holidays! They always decorate the store especially on Halloween and Christmas. Parking is awkward as to get here you'd have to enter through a one way street full of industrial companies with trucks taking a lot of the street parking. It's usually not a problem to find a spot however on street cleaning hours you might have to walk a bit. Overall, excellent condition items with fair pricing and friendly staff. Worth coming to!”
“Jesse Peterson and the folks at B.O.N.D. Seem to be one of the only nonprofits worth a dime. They tackle humanity’s core issue - hatred. They are truly reuniting men and women, black and white.”
“They take good care of your pets and help you the best they can, they cut their nails, they give them vaccines for rabies fleas, they are very well cared for and they speak your language, if they don't understand, they try to seek help from other people, thank you ?”
“My family is so grateful for the care my mom is receiving at Solheim! We were referred by a close friend whose loved one had lived here previously. Having the three levels of care (active living, memory care, and skilled nursing) all on site meant a lot to us... this ensures that mom will be comfortable and in her Solheim community as she moves through different stages of health. The warmth of the staff is evident every time we visit mom. This isn't one of those homes that looks like a big hotel when you enter. It is warm, homey, clean, festive for all holidays and comfortable. Residents are engaged in many activities including the chapel services. Solheim is a blessing to our family and we sleep well at night knowing she's well cared for by her Solheim family.”
“safe fun spot, where you can be colorful, be yourself, be accepted. seriously stellar folk. respectable, kind, considerate. supportive of community. really big world views. really gentle about teaching people how to help others. woke. y'all woke.”
