I’m extremely disappointed with the unethical and illegal refund policy being enforced at this Dollar Tree location. Employees have repeatedly stated that no refunds are allowed, even with a receipt, which directly violates California Civil Code § 1723 and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines.
To make matters worse, they also told me that I must make an exchange for the full receipt amount or they would not process the transaction at all. They additionally do not allow an exchange of a product without a receipt. These practices are deceptive, coercive, and designed to trap customers into unwanted purchases. I have repeatedly asked cashiers and management to share the return policy and have yet to see it. It is not written or posted anywhere in the store or on the receipts.
However, Dollar Tree is legally required to post a refund policy if it differs from standard consumer protections, and this store has failed to do so. I have formally notified corporate and am prepared to escalate this to the California Attorney General, Los Angeles Consumer Affairs, and the FTC. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere until Dollar Tree corrects these unlawful practices.

I would give ZERO STARS if possible. Firstly, as I walked in, a transient was obviously walking out with a bag full of stolen food, not a single employee moved to stop her nor said a word. I have an auto immune disorder, so I opted out of using a basket and/ or cart. As I was shopping, a VERY RUDE and VERY LOUD employee demanded I use a cart whilst shoving it towards me. I declined, stating I was fine. She then threatened me with broken english while pointing to the cameras and pulling out her cell phone while on the floor. I declined again, beginning to get pissed off as I walked around her. She then followed me to the check out isle while demanding I use her line. Of course, I wouldn't be out of embarrassment. She kept staring and walked over to the cashier on duty and began using racial slurs while snickering and looking over at me. I paid for my items and was thrown the money and change. I walked out furious as I've never stolen a single thing in my life. DO BETTER DOLLAR TREE.

More rubbish service from the employees but the shady despotic manager lacks education and customer service all the time even on the weekends 1 cashier and slow while the manager acts stupid and answers all despotic

Went to this store a second time. First time I wanted a drink however refrigerators where empty . This store does not carry lots of items anymore . cleaning supplies it’s pretty empty as well. Maybe it’s a busy store . However I noticed the fridges had mold . Then noticed entire store don’t get cleaned . But the mold bothered me . They need to cleaned it . Second time I went drive was stocked however mold still there . They placed sodas on dirty fridge . Why? It’s mold ! It’s black inside ! Nasty I got a sudden dust alerts I asked for a towel from the roll they had at one register, as store manger Tony walks out from her office she gave me a dirty look and backed away as if I had covid! What people can’t have allergies anymore? She needs to check her attitude. She yells too much and tends to be rude .
