The Last Bookstore, located in Downtown Los Angeles is a book lover’s dream. Located at the intersection of 5th & Spring St., it offers a wide variety of new and used books, vinyl, and other physical media. In an era where everything is becoming increasingly digitized, the magic of being surrounded by physical media is especially unique. Art made out of books, and creative design concepts make ‘The Last Bookstore’ a selfie hotspot. Several movies have also had scenes filmed here to include the Oscar nominated film, ‘Gone Girl’. Tune in to tour the most awesome bookstore I’ve ever seen, on The Cristopolis Show (YT / IG @cristopolis)

One of best bookstores our family has been too. Prices are reasonable and it is really nice just to be in there, a little surreal. I think train might be better, there was not alot of parking. It is also near Grand Central. We didn't go there, but I think if I were to come here, I might have parked there, walked here, then went there to eat.

The store is huge with a very large selection of books. You could spend hours in there looking through everything! Yes, there are tourist photo ops throughout the store, but once you're done with that, stay and shop for books.

This bookstore is awesome. A 22,000 sqft area with many genres of books. Worth a trip to check out this place. I was amazed by the decor and the books!

I could spend hours here looking at all the genres of books that I love! Walking in the door, I did feel a little overwhelmed, but once I understood the way things were arranged, it was so much easier to walk around and search for what I wanted. The boutiques upstairs were unique and seeing the artwork (for purchase) on the wall was great because they were local artists. I will definitely be vistitng again!

This little store was definitely a good find in LA. I loved everything they were selling and also liked the price range of objects at sale (they have relatively expensive and very affordable pieces at sale at this book store; perfect for the connoisseur and college student). I like what this gallery stands for and the purple-eyebrowed girl (I am an idiot; I really did forget her name) did a great job at trying to help me out with my purchase. Hidden treasure in LA, basically (both the store AND the artists whose work was/is on display!!!!!)

They are trying to sell cameras for 4 and 5 times the value sold elsewhere. Talk about a bunch of scam artists.

Realistically 3.75/5 I was in town with my bf, his dad and a friend of his for the Last Bookstore! We came in, and I bought a couple of pencils. I understand my bf's choice of words can make him sound like a Karen but he was trying to purchase a Grogu (baby yoda) pin from the vending machine outside the shop as a gift for a friend. It was cheaper by a tinier margin, and I guess him asking for clarification on the price difference was weird. He made his purchase and left the store, then as the cashier was ringing me up for my pencils they straight up talked about him. Unless he was being straight up rude to y'all (which he wasn't because I was right there), it doesn't look professional to talk about customers for other customers to hear within earshot It personally ruined my experience and I hope you gro(gu)w from this Also how are you gonna be selling the pins without knowing who the character was? It's petty to mention that but I just hope it humbles you from judging (at least in public). I have years of experience in retail and I'm currently studying digital art in university, so as a fellow artist I commend you for occupying space in one of the hottest tourist spots in LA I can empathize with feeling frustrated with Karen's as well, which is why it's impossible for me to give you less than 5 stars on yelp. best of luck ~

Love this gallery-boutique-gift shop in the heart of DTLA, on the second floor of the wonderful Last Bookstore. Whether it was before or during the world-wide pandemic, FOLD has provided great items and fantastic service. Jena in particular was super helpful, and she'lI help you if you're trying to find something special. She even followed-up with me after my purchases, going above and beyond, to thank me for supporting small business. Interesting and unique items, including original artwork, of which my favorite is Patrick Haemmerlein. Make sure to check it out online or in-person.
