Since all the gaps stores have unfortunately closed down in Australia mum and I have longed to enter a gap store . We of course splurged on ourselves and purchased so many wonderful well-made items. We found lots of really good items that fit us well in the sales section which were very happy about because it was an additional 40% off as well as the most stunning denim dress which I can’t wait to wear back at home thank you so much. We had a divine time here.🫶🏼✨

Every time I come into this location, I am met with aggression and incompetent management by the store manager and shift supervisors/leads. They clearly have either not been trained on customer relation management or problem resolution, or they have simply chosen to ignore what their job description / training entails.
On two separate occasions, I had to come in with the same issue of not receiving an e-gift card through my e-mail. This is also an issue I had back in March, and they were able to quickly resolve and issue me a physical gift card while in store by speaking with the internal or online customer support.
Today at 7PM, I came in for the balance on the e-gift card to be transferred to a physical gift card as they have done before because it has not been sent my e-mail once again. The shift lead continued the interaction with hostility and claimed that he has “never heard of this” / “we don’t do that” / “well we’re not fixing this today” / “I don’t understand.”
I tried explaining the situation to him multiple times, while stating that just because he has not encountered this situation before does not mean that it did not happen previously. Rather than simply listening, he interrupted me every time I spoke which just further inhibited his understanding of the situation.
He claimed that doing this with the gift card is a “fireable offense” and probably the reason why I don’t see the manager/associate who helped me previously in March.
He also remarked that I should not be telling him how to do his job because he “would not go into my job and tell me how to do my job.”
This was an entirely inappropriate, unprofessional, and combative conversation for no good reason except that the shift lead continued to escalate the issue. He gave no resolution options except to leave my name and phone number, which I declined leaving my personal information without clear information as to why I need to.
The situation remains unresolved and leaves an extremely poor impression of Gap as a brand once again.

First of all, I love the customer service here. The staff are extremely nice and hard working. They also validated our parking! The selections are really good too! They also have sales here. I'm truly satisfied with my purchase.

Its very clean here and amazing staff members. They make sure they take care of the needs of the customers. They have a multi-level and the children's section has a clearance,great finds n deals.

I usually don’t leave reviews but this one has to be shared. We were at the grove location today and have never met more rude and unprofessional store personnel at any retail establishment ever. There was one girl behind the counter checking out a guest and I noticed the guest was fumbling with her handbag to get her payment out so I took the pause to ask the clerk if the belts near the register were the only ones in the store. She turned to me with a nasty scowl and said “those are the only belts in this store.” I was shocked at her demeanor and turned to leave when I spotted another associate chit chatting on her cell phone while arranging clothing so I stood nearby for a good 5 minutes and waited hoping she was nearly done with her personal call on the sales floor. I then walked over to ask if it was ok if I purchased the belt on the display and she lifted her head with a nasty scowl on her face (similar to the other associate) and said “I am on the phone right now!” We immediately turned and left the store. Never again will I go in that Gap location and I will tell everyone I know about my experience. It was the worst experience ever and so unprofessional. Both of these ladies had blonde hair and were middle aged. I didn’t see a name tag on either of them.

Extremely rude staff. I came with a toddler and a baby to buy some things from the baby section. I brought a few sizes down with me to show my mum and I asked the lady there if I could leave the selection there while I get her. When I went to pay for my items a shop assistant comes having a go at my mother who was looking after two children for messing up the store because I left some items there. When she said she did no such thing the girl went on and on being extremely rude. I only wish I had witnessed this before I paid as I would have left everything and not bought one item!
Ridiculous ! It would have been rude to have a go at any customer but this was just above and beyond ridiculous ! No wonder shops are closing if you treat customers this way !
