What an experience. At first glance if you come into the school expecting... you might set yourself up for failure. Everything about this school from its culture, trainers, and location speak to the reality of trucking. The only goal GSF sets is your obtainment of your CDL. Trucking schools are not there to teach you to be a truck driver. So put your priorities, expectations, and understanding of what you're getting yourself into reality before signing up and being "one of those" reviewers. For me, I went from not knowing anything about trucking to getting my CDL... all on the first attempt. The trainers I worked with were Elias, Frank, and Juan. Hands down the combination of their training styles helped me develop my training effectively and efficiently. The 1:1 learning blocks further helped my training. And the sole reason why I chose GSF in the first place. I had obtained my CLP and completed my ELDT prior to starting the range and on road portions of the program. I trained for 3 days a week, for 5 weeks in two hour blocks. Totaling 30 hours of training. Office communication from Kass and Jackie were on point. Never had any mix up with my schedule classes and sailed right through my course. Two pieces of advice to management: charging full price for the program is greedy. Since I never took 10 hours of course work. As I had already done my ELDT/CLP. Secondly, ensure the testing equipment is DOT ready to test with. We invest our time and money to ensure we have the highest success rate. An easy fix like missing the front license plate delayed my process. I took it in strides and felt like it all worked out in the end. But still worth a mention. And hope future student can avoid this oversight. Overall, I would recommend GSF to anyone serious about obtaining their CDL. As everyone here is just as serious about helping and getting you into a rewarding career! Thank you GSF for the opportunity, training, and life changing experience. #attitudeofGRATITUDE

To start off I will like to thank Kass and Jocelyn from the office they were always on dot. Looking at the bad reviews I can see where people get confused I’ll start with the few possible issues #1 during orientation they mention you will start each class with a pre trip inspection of 20 minutes (not always the case ) #2 there is one instructor that lacks maturity and if he is having a bad day over something unrelated to class he will reflect that also might lack interest in teaching/ correcting. Moving on to the plus side I noticed the rest of the instructors are good and professional . I noticed they have a passion on what they do Frank , Sergio , and basically everyone else ! Note : pre trip is mainly on your part to study ! Gsf will provide you with a video and print out both show what you need to pass and more ! Take advantage of the free time to walk in the yard and inspect the trucks. Write your concerns and approach the instructors with straight forward questions and they will answer clearly .

This place had an employee that no longer works there who's name was Miguel. This man stole $3000 from me and my family. They did me so dirty during covid. I paid that money CASH in hopes of giving my wife and kids a better future. They gave me the run around with dates I could go in to train till my year contract ran out. I was made broken promises. I even spoke to a very rude female manager who did absolutely nothing but put me down and tells me that I will not receive any continued training or will not receive a refund. Horrible. How this place could ignore my plea and steal my money. I wish I never stepped foot into that building.

Do your research before investing your time and money into this school. They have poor customer service and communication skills. When things go wrong somehow it becomes your fault. Keep all your receipts because they will lose track of what you paid for. They do not care if the student succeeds. Once you have paid you're basically on your own. Very disappointed and I would never recommend this school to anyone.

I do not recommend this school!!! If I could give them negative starts I would! All they want is your money and that don't help you with anything!! I'm soo upset at the fact that I wasted my time going to this school

Great one on one learning experience. The instructors are determined to work with you individually to make sure you are ready for your DMV test. They also give plenty of tips from past experience themselves. GSF is very professional when it comes to scheduling and teaching. Their staff is very welcoming and know what they are doing. One of the best investments I ever did. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that would like to obtain their class A or B license.

I just completed my course and obtained my Class A Commercial license all thanks to GSF Los Angeles Location! :) I am seeing negative reviews although I do not know why because from start to finish the admin, teachers, and over all staff were amazing and helped me with anything I needed. My instructor for my time at GSF was Elias (I called him "E" so I hope I spelled his name right haha). Elias was a straight shooter when it came down to teaching me how to drive and I appreciated that. Each time we had a class he was always attentive to what I'm doing and always told me my mistakes so that I can correct them. I had so many questions to ask and he was always patient with me and helped me even if I asked that question 5 times. Elias is a great guy, teacher, and mentor so thank you for everything brother! Each class was 2 hours long and in that class you were 1 on 1 with an instructor which I loved, they have flexible times on classes which worked for me because I had work at 9am (I took the 6am-8am class), they have their own yard to practice skills inside, you can go at most hours and practice your inspection on the vehicles that are not being used in the back, the physical takes place on site, and over all the school is doing everything possible to make sure their students succeed and the process as smooth as possible. I noticed other students in the school would complain that "all the teachers do is tell you what you did wrong" which is literally their job because 1. you are driving a commercial vehicle and need to be ON POINT when on the road for your safety and the safety of others 2. the testers at the DMV will show you no mercy for each mistake you make! I do not have any complains or serious concerns for this school. The only thing I can tell students to keep in mind is that somedays you may not have the same instructor so you might have two teachers telling you a different way how to do something. At that point you just need to choose which way works for you and stick to it because you dont want to confuse yourself when that day comes for you to take the tests at the DMV. Thank you GSF and all of the staff that helped me through the process, you guys are the best!
