Tight parking but otherwise fairly good location not far from downtown LA and definitely close to Saint Anneâs Family Services, a home for pregnant and parenting youth.

Worst place ever we stayed.. Location is horrible, homeless people all around the building. They were in the parking lot too. You can't sleep at night, I heard a couple times police cars and an ambulance. People were screaming during the night. The lobby door was open, It was hard to find a receptionist in the lobby, even though they didn't answer the phone. I just appreciated ladies in the breakfast room, they were so polite.

Location is great to go to games at Dodger Stadium. Service at front desk was awesome. Room was very clean. Plenty of hot water (once you figured out how to get itâŚ)
Two elevators to use depending where your room is. Breakfast - good. Dining area - clean and nice.
Itâs a little oasis in the nor best part of town and is stay here again to go to Dodger home games.
Con - wifi kept going in and outâŚ

I had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Los Angeles! The breakfast was definitely a highlightâfresh, delicious, and with a great variety to choose from each morning. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a busy day exploring the city. What really stood out to me, though, was the staffâevery team member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to be helpful. Highly recommend this hotel if youâre looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay in downtown LA.

The one star reviews are absolutely accurate. Not sure how or who does a five star of this facility. We, adult male, adult female and adult daughter, stayed here because of a baseball game. We arrived at 1 am, so the neighborhood was dark. The sidewalk entrance has been closed off, now I know why. Only entrance is parking garage sliding doors, and YOU MUST, for safety, be asked to be picked up, and dropped off at this door.
The homeless, and stench are absolutely horrid here. They are everywhere. The sidewalks around here are completely covered in filth, trash, and urine stench. A homeless guy in front of the hotel in a wheelchair was literally peeling his skin off of his arm, I witnessed that. We walked around during the next morning, I did feel safe enough to protect my family, and we had to take this in, so we walked a couple city blocks, and MacArthur park. The park is a homeless community of hundreds. Thats besides the point.
If you choose to stay here, do not expect at all to be outside. We wanted to check out the tiny pool that is gated and privacy fenced in at the front of the hotel outside, when we walked out, the urine stench was so incredible, we had to walk back in, you will not use that pool.
When inquiring about shuttle or transportation to Dodgers stadium, it was recommended to take the Metro (city bus). We found out that the drop off was about 2 to 3 blocks from the hotel. Realizing that it's a night game, and we would be walking 2 to 3 blocks at probably Midnight, that was a hard no. I, nor will you, have any personal safety on that walk. The homeless and smells, and trash are everywhere. This area is literally a suburb of Skid Row.
The chair in our room had a disgusting stain, and the carpet was questionable. No bare feet. Bathrooms super clean. The hotel in general is not bad, breakfast is very good as is the staff. This is so unfortunate for Holiday Inns reputation. We will not stay in this location again.

If I could rate a negative review I would. Today 4/29/2025, 4p a very inexperience front desk..she gave me a room with a guest already in, then gave a 2nd room with a maintenance person working. Delva you need to fix your hotel management!

Big shout out to the local property manager Aida and general manager Delva. They went out of their way to help and spent extra time during the reservation to accommodate my booking.
My sister is traveling from India and they are being extra helpful to accommodate her needs, helping her get taxi to go to her conference. They are very nice to accommodate her health restrictions and needs. I am very grateful and canât wait to thank in person when I come today.
