If you are going to file your taxes with H&R block, you MUST go to this branch and this branch only! I filed my taxes with this branch in 2023 and had a great experience, but decided to file this year's taxes with the main office on Wilshire (for no particular reason). I encountered MANY problems with the main office and dealt with a tax professional that was unresponsive and inconsistent; I had the worst experience possible. I then came back to this branch in hopes someone would help me iron out all these kinks, and sure enough Ana graciously fixed all of my problems and answered all of my questions, for FREE! Every concern I had was gone by the time I left this office, and it's all thanks to Ana. She was kind and patient with me. I should've never deviated and gone to the other branch...this one has the best tax professionals around. Will definitely be back to work with them next year.

I highly recommend having Nara Quiroz Velicky, AFSP help with tax preparations!!! She made the process easy to understand and gave me helpful tidbits going forward that will ease my tax burden. I am very grateful for her help in this complicated process.

I made an appointment to do my taxes over the phone. After waiting all day, way past myScheduled Time, I called them and they told me that they wouldn’t get to me as they had too many people waiting there in their office. I was fuming mad and will never ? use them again.

Recommend going to Steve at Jackson Hewitt in Winnetka immediately instead of going through the literal nightmare I went though here. Worst customer service experience of my entire life. The team submitted my taxes incorrectly, misled me about the fact that they had done that for four days, refused to answer calls and kept me waiting in the lobby for nearly 2 hours with no customer service from the manager Monica or my tax preparer Terry before coming out and saying they had refunded my tax preparation fees because the taxes were not actually submitted!! The charge is still on my account and the refund of the tax preparation fees has not yet come through -- even though it was promised nearly two weeks ago!! Save yourself a few weeks of hell and go somewhere else.

This place deserves negative stars! Don't use this place!!! You'd be better off doing it yourself or using turbo tax. I thought a certain person that worked here who I heard great things about was doing my return but no. Someone named Raymond Paplauskas did my return and it goes to hell from there. I received my return copy in the mail with it reflecting a refund of $3539 for my federal return. I was charged $330 for tax preparation and $39 for a refund transfer. I received this return copy on 6/1/22 and have been checking the "where's my refund" daily with the IRS. I finally got the congressman involved but still no refund and we were at 9/27 and still no refund. Today I checked and it said not only was I not getting a refund, I owe $905. I was completely shocked and had Jessie look into it and she informed me that the IRS website was not updated and that I actually owe $52. That was in the H&R Block info under my account. The elephant in the room is why was I mailed a packet saying I was getting $3539 and never given any other information or updated?! Why would this be mailed to me in the first place?! I have been counting on this all this time and it was completely bogus. As long as I have been filing taxes, I have never come across such a mishandling of my tax preparation. I called to talk to the Manager Monica and was told I have to cwait until Friday. Heed my advice and stay away from this place!!! A computer program called Turbo Tax is much better and safer!!
