My experience with Joan Boucher was awful. She wasn’t friendly, did not take the time to explain anything to me, and did not answer my questions with all possible options. Instead, she is now making ME file my taxes on my own when I paid over $130 for a tax professional to do this, and refused to help me after asking twice and trying to call her. It’s a waste of money, will not be going back here.

If I were you, I would find somewhere else. Nydia Prado, who did my taxes acted like she was doing me a favor. It was way before tax season began and no one was in there. She was late for our appt. She misinformed me about fees to file electronically , (which made her life easier), and then proceeded to google much of the information about my filing that she didn't know. Surprising. I could have done that myself. She told me I could email her any questions and I did have one a month later and never got an answer. I knew from the get go that I didn't feel confident in her knowledge.Let's hope this doesn't blow up in my face down the line. You can do better especially for the expensive fee. Forewarned.

I've been using HR block for nearly 20 years. No more! This year they messed up and didn't send my payment to the IRS! When I went in to get things sorted they blamed me AFTER telling me it may take a couple if months to go through BEFORE they knew it was their mistake! I was in the "couple of months" time frame but the tune changed when they looked on their computer and saw they'd messed up. There was not even the slightest apology or hint of commiseration despite all the extra fees I've incurred and then they became hostile insisting it was all my fault. When I tried to bring up the fact that they guarantee to be culpable for any mistakes they had a temper tantrum and pretty much threw my paper work in my face and told me "I don't have to deal with this ****". Obviously I left, i dont want to do business with unprofessional people who decide to blame me for their obvious mistakes. I paid for the "Peace of mind guarantee" but obviously wasted my money, now I'm going to have to seek help elsewhere because I no longer trust HR Block with my "peace of mind" or anything else.

Filed my taxes with this location in February. Nothing but issues for the past 6 months with both my federal and state taxes. Almost impossible to get in contact with them for information or any updates. As of August, my state taxes have still not been filed, and I had to figure this out and follow up with them on my own. Horrible experience that’s caused me nothing but stress for months. Avoid at all costs, go elsewhere!!! This is my last resort in an attempt for them to contact me about my non-filed state tax return.

Since I started doing my taxes here, the experience has been pleasant, I have no idea how many years I've been here, but without a doubt... I'm still with them for a reason.

I was SCAMMED by Angelica Lara and others in the Pico/Highland office. She failed to acknowledge the person who referred me. She charged me a fortune. She sold me products that did not existed (PROMOTION ENDED) then lied about repairing her FRAUD by refunding my fees. Cesar Salazar stood behind it. Spoke with Schyler Orr who promised to repair the the issue. HE LIED TOO! Pathetic & Unprofessional - I'm filing CLAIMS with IRS, Tax Education Council, DOJ, FTB, the Department of Real Estate (lack of ethics & fiduciary duties) and H & R Block Ethic Council. Angelica Lara will be held professional accountable for her lies and unethical behavior. She made the CHOICE to do what she did and continued to deceive me throughout my entire process of tax preparation. She knew what she was doing and know, what I need to to to protect my rights as well as yours. She can't get comfortable doing things like this!

Quite comical how much of a scam this is. Went online at H&R Block and did my own taxes, didn’t think I was being compensated appropriately. Went in for an “expert analysis” and all they did was the same thing I did online but it took A LOT longer. Asked them about tax percentages and they had no idea what I was talking about. Are they even Certified Public Accountants? Actually gross Ponzi scheme. Then made me pay $155 for what I could have done myself.

Yesterday, I worked with Cesar and he was awesome! He paid attention to all the details and took the time to explain everything. I high-fived him on the way out the door because I was so happy!

The IRS recently sent me a statement saying I owe $7k, which is insane because when I filed it was for about 4k (which is still incredibly high for my income but I digress). I felt scared and stressed and set up an appointment with HR block. I immediately got someone calling me back saying that they couldn't go through with my appointment because the office is closed that day (I wonder why the system even let me make an appointment-- but okay....) The woman on the phone was kind enough to get someone to come in on that day anyways and work with me, someone named Cesar-- which is where our trouble begins. Cesar called me and said that he had to cancel my appointment because we needed to find out if the IRS even got my return before we start to make any moves. I understood, and I sent him all my necessary documents, including the letter from the IRS. After reading my letter, Cesar basically told me that I have no choice but to pay $7k. He offered to make an amendment but couldn't tell me what that would solve, and wouldn't offer me any alternative solutions that could fix this issue. He also didn't do a very good job of explaining why I would still owe this much. Instead, he offered to make me a consultation appointment ($99) so he could explain it in more detail. I asked if I would still owe $7k after this consult, and he said yes. So I said okay, thanks for your help, and he immediately rushed off the phone with a quick "Have a good day" and hung up. No apologies, no alternative plan, nothing. I got a second opinion at a professional firm, and within a few hours, someone was able to look at my return, look at my letter, and look at my deductions, and immediately tell me the route to fixing the issue and completely put my mind at ease. They explained it very easily and it seemed like a pretty simple fix. If I had listened to Cesar, it would have put me in financial ruin. I think that the way that he handles his clients is incredibly irresponsible if this is his usual M.O. He seriously told me that because the number $7k is in the IRS's system now, there's no way to change it. I'm very disappointed in this HR block. Completely mishandled what was apparently a simple situation.
