I visit from the New York area and this is by far THE BEST butcher shop anywhere! Unbelievable selection of fine meats and specialties. Helpful professional staff and by far the best beef jerky you can get. Wish I lived here so I could go here for my meats but it is a MUST DO every time I visit the area.

Just adding the most recent, positive experience at this hilarious (dead-pan joking around) company at the Farmer's Market, worth the trip there. The best in LA, possible anywhere, with friendly service and good prices. A dream selection of sausages in the case.

Came here once couple months back & just needed a butcher to cut & vacuum seal a sirloin roast & I was definitely willing to pay whatever fee, they happily obliged. Came here couple minutes ago and denied since I didn't buy from there. Just needed a butcher, happy to pay for service, didn't matter the price. Oh well

Fresh meats, beef, pork and lamb. Ground beef, sausages etc. One of two shops selling meat in the whole farmer's market.

I used to be such a fan of this butcher. The product is really phenomenal, but the service ever since the pandemic has been unfriendly. Even more so, their chicken stand has some of the rudest staff. Never a smile and no rapport. I have lived in the area for years and seeing these folks become so rude and curt has left me going to Whole Foods or the other butcher at the farmer’s market near the pasta corner. The chicken guy across from the Thai food place at the farmers market it way nicer and all too ready to be helpful or strike up a conversation.

Bought some beef jerky there. Taste very good! They have different flavour and you can tell it’s from fresh real meat not those stored for a long time.

2-3 minute read, depending on your skills: I've been a steady Customer (HUNTINGTON MEATS) for so long, that the Butcher (can't recall his name) who always took care of my orders is no longer there. PLUS, I can't remember his name. He was a very pleasant man, helpful knowledgeable, and just plain people-oriented. Well, I hadn't been back (for a while) and when I did last weekend (Saturday 08/07/2022) I couldn't find parking so I left. We came back this past Thursday believing and hoping- since being mid-week, It would be less crowded and my hunch paid off. Once parked, we waltzed over to HUNTINGTON'S. It wasn't busy. A young man was working (behind the counter) and when he saw me (approaching) he came over and asked if he could help with anything. I told him I was interested in beef Jerky. He pointed it out and asked what type I was looking for. "Plain peppered and salted," I told him. To make this story longer, let me just tell you that he tore off a few samples for taste testing and I settled on the two kinds I have always bought from them- Pepper/Salted and the other having red chile flakes sprinkled on the jerky. DELICIOUS! During this taste testing, our conversation was about how long I've been a customer, I asked him if he spoke any other language and he said he did- Spanish and French. He as asked me where I was from, where I lived, and all that ice-breaking chatter. I told him my name and he told me his BYRON. Byron's like the chap I told you about at the outset: People-oriented, likable, courteous, and knew what he was talking about. By the way, Working alongside Byron, there was a cute girl- busy as a beaver back there. Being as intrepid as I am, while Byron weighed out my order and ran my credit card, I shot the breeze with her. I asked, "What's your name?" to which she answered, "PEACH!" Well, how can anyone not love a PEACH? OK, check out the photos. You'll see Peach and Byron. Thanks!

I have written my actual visits to this business multiple times. Yelp has removed my real life situation here are their requests. 4 visits here with extremely poor service and it isn't excepted by Yelp standards.? This place has poor customer service all around but they pay Yelp to remove it.? I will keep writing until Yelp reaches out to me and explains why my reviews keep getting deleted when I have said nothing wrong but my experience. This place is horrible now, but I can't write my view spending 1k here every other month.?

Luckily for me this place is a ten minute walk away from me : ) Staff is nice . Ooo I also like that they carry Game meats ! Aside from regular poultry cuts .

The Huntington Meats is one of two top-notch butchers in the L.A. Long display cases brim with beautiful cuts of pork and lamb, over two dozen varieties of fresh sausage, homemade beef jerky, hand-trimmed maple bacon, and Boar?s Head deli meat. The Huntington Meats is also an exclusive carrier of all-natural Harris Ranch beef. Harris Ranch cows are fed a pesticide-free, all-vegetarian, high-corn diet and raised in humane conditions. Finally, if you?re in the market for something different, it even offers exotic game like elk, venison, or alligator per special request.

I would say their ad slogan "the best meats. period." is pretty accurate. I bought some hot links, beef jerky, and roast seasoning. I have yet to use the seasoning, but the jerky was amazing. The pepper jerky was legit pretty spicy, but that's what I desire in my jerky.I added the sausages in my spaghetti dish and it elevated my spaghetti to another level... I'm definitely coming back. And for any CalFresh people, they accept EBT.
