This review is long overdue. I was a client at K9 Logic two years ago I believe. I have an 80lb mixed breed dog (50% German shepherd, 25% pitbull, sprinkled with Staffordshire terrier and Rottweiler) who had already graduated from basic obedience and had done some additional training (on my own) with an e-collar I purchased from Amazon. At the time, I had several friends who were training their dogs here and they were all so phenomenally behaved so I decided to give them a try. I took him in for an evaluation with a gentleman (I forgot his name but I think he was the owner). He educated me on how they train dogs, their use of slip-leashes and e-collars, and their importance in the role of negative reinforcement in more advanced dog training (don't worry, there is a lot of positive reinforcement too). He was very confident and knowledgeable and it was amazing to see how he handled my dog. My dog is extremely food motivated and quite intelligent so he was picking things up very quickly in the evaluation. We discussed some of my training goals for my dog, which included intermediate obedience (heel, down, down-stay, place, touch, up, down, impulse control, agility) and above all addressing two very important behavioral problems: his tendency to run towards scuffles at dog parks and his high prey drive. The owner suggested 8 sessions given some of these issues. Now, K9 Logic is pricey. However, in my opinion, the prices they charge are reasonable for the knowledge and training they provide. Trust me when I say that you will walk away from your training with them with a transformed pup. You will have to buy a Mini Educator e-collar and slip leash if you do not have those items. If you are deterred by the thought of using an e-collar then either you have been misinformed or have heard myths. K9 Logic educated me on its proper use. The e-collar shock levels range from 0-99. We started at 4 and I have never gone above 15. I got to work with Diana. She was a great trainer, showing me how to do things and explaining her rationale, and then having me practice it in session with her. After you leave every season, you have homework for the week. If you think training your dog takes a long time, then again you have either been misinformed or heard myths. I trained my dog everyday, twice a day, for only 10-15 minutes a time. As he became more advanced in his skills, our training sessions at home (and outside of the home) grew in duration. Initially, we started working in the little gym they have. I learned how to hold the e-collar, how to use it, when to apply a shock and when not to, and how to treat my dog. I learned language to communicate with my dog and let him know that he needed to come to me and when I was coming to him. As he gained more skills, our training moved outside of their gym to the local Home Depot and a park full of people and squirrels. He did extremely well in these very distracting environments. By the time I was done, I had a much calmer, more focused dog. I was a doctoral student at the time and after this training, I was able to bring my dog to 2-hour long classes where he would simply lie down, sleep, and wait for me to finish. Everyone was impressed, including peers who had seen him before we embarked on this journey with K9 Logic. I not only gained a much more well behaved dog, but I got to bond with my dog a lot. He eventually stopped running to scuffles and has improved a great deal on his prey drive; the latter I don't believe will ever go away. The only suggestion I have for K9 Logic is to have an agility course that is more basic and that can be used to build a dog up to the more advanced agility course they have. My dog attempted their agility course but it was too scary for him. He was not confident enough and not ready. They also told me I could teach my dog agility via playgrounds at parks; however, I did that and one time, my dogs nail got caught on the playground and he jumped off and ripped his nail off, causing him to bleed everywhere (it was a hot mess). I never went back to a playgr

I recently had the pleasure of working with Jaclyn at K9 Logic for board & train for my puppy, Chloe, and I couldn't be more impressed with the results. Jaclyn's expertise, patience, and passion for canine training truly set her apart. Chloe was a particularly difficult puppy. She would bite and would throw tantrums when anything was put around her neck, such as a leash. Chloe is a very stubborn dog and we worried no one would be able to help us. From the beginning, Jaclyn took the time to understand Chloe's unique personality and behavior traits. Jaclyn's techniques were key in building a strong bond with Chloe, and I could see a noticeable improvement in Chloe's behavior after she came home from her board and train. Chloe is now able to go on walks and is very obedient! What stands out about Jaclyn is her clear communication and commitment to educating pet owners. She not only demonstrated the training exercises but also explained the underlying principles, empowering me to continue reinforcing behaviors at home. Jaclyn's guidance extended beyond the training sessions, as she provided valuable tips and resources for ongoing support. Chloe responded exceptionally well to Jaclyn's methods, and I witnessed a positive transformation in her behavior. Jaclyn's love for animals is evident in her work, and her dedication to each dog's individual needs is truly commendable. If you're searching for a skilled and compassionate dog trainer, I wholeheartedly recommend Jaclyn at K9 Logic. The impact on Chloe's behavior and our relationship has been remarkable, and I am grateful for the positive experience we've had under Jaclyn's guidance. We cannot thank Jaclyn and the entire K9 Logic team enough. This is experience has changed our lives for the better!

We completed a three week board and train with Wally, our very restless and energetic labradoodle this summer. The team was absolutely fantastic and put us at ease leaving our pup with them. Wally came home e-collar trained, walking perfectly, and so happy with the trainers that he barely wanted to leave. We came out with a new set of tools to address his nipping outbursts around the house. I have strongly recommended K9 Logic to many friends and we will continue to work with with them for updates to his training.

Reviews We are first-time pet owners with our pandemic puppy, Evee, was nothing short of transformational thanks to Chris and his dog training expertise. Evee initially struggled with separation anxiety and reactivity, making it nearly impossible for us to leave her side or enjoy peaceful walks. She constant barking and distress were overwhelming. However, K9 Logic's board and train program worked wonders for Eve. His patience and dedication shined through as he diligently worked with Eve, instilling newfound confidence in her. The results were nothing short of remarkable. We can now leave our home for hours without Eve's persistent barking, and she's become an inquisitive and well-adjusted companion on our walks, even in the face of loud noises and other dogs. Chris went above and beyond by keeping us involved in the training process. Regular updates, photos, and videos allowed us to witness Eve's progress firsthand. In a thoughtful hand-off session, Chris shared his extensive knowledge and taught us effective communication techniques with Eve, setting us up for long-term success. His guidance, along with comprehensive notes, have been invaluable. Chris is an absolute authority in the world of dog training, and his expertise has not only transformed Eve but also empowered us as pet owners. We are infinitely more confident and better equipped to nurture Eve's happiness and well-being. We couldn't recommend K9 Logic and Chris more highly for their exceptional dog training skills. Our heartfelt thanks to Chris for making this journey an absolutely amazing experience for Eve and us.

K9 Logic has been a blessing in our life! We rescued a dog from the streets who came with massive aggression issues toward people and dogs. We completed 8 weeks right after we rescued him then another 5 weeks a year later. He is a completely different dog now that listens and responds to cues. He used to not be able to walk even across the street from another dog without becoming uncontrollable, now he can walk by safely without tugging barking or even paying much attention to them. We used a slip collar and e-collar throughout training and he responded immediately. Without these tools we wouldn't be where we are today. I like how they train the owner through the process and really listen to concerns and address them in each training. More than recommended!

I cannot recommend K9 Logic highly enough! My experience with the Board and Train Program for my beloved Lab mix, Lucy, has been nothing short of incredible. Under the expert guidance of Shea, my dedicated trainer, I witnessed remarkable transformations in Lucy's behavior. From the very beginning, Shea was exceptional in keeping me informed about what to expect throughout the entire training process. I eagerly anticipated her weekly updates, complete with pictures and videos showcasing Lucy's impressive progress. In our first lesson upon Lucy's return I was astounded by the array of skills she had acquired during her stay. Shea took the time to not only train Lucy but to educate me as well. I left with a ton of knowledge, feeling confident in my ability to continue her training at home. Lucy's enthusiasm for the training was palpable, and our lessons were not only informative but also a ton of fun. Shea's patience and kindness were instrumental in helping me navigate this journey. She answered all my questions and equipped me with the tools to continue the training effectively incorporating the leash and ecollar. Lucy's behavioral issues, such as overexcitement and excessive energy, made walks a real challenge. She used to pull me relentlessly, barking and lunging at other dogs. At home, her penchant for counter surfing, sock chewing, and boisterous barking at visitors at the front door were our main concerns. Fast forward to today, and Lucy is a remarkably well-behaved dog. I couldn't be happier with our progress. Our newfound ability to go on walks together without her pulling me is a true joy, and the bond between us has deepened significantly. K9 Logic has truly worked wonders for Lucy, and we eagerly anticipate attending group classes and delving into more advanced training. Thank you for making such a positive difference in our lives! impressed and grateful, Cathy

We love K9 Logic! Our 1.5 year old pittie/boxer mix has struggled with impulse control (jumping) and leash reactivity since we adopted her. We've tried various different training programs/methods and K9 is by far the best! We did the 8-class pack and it was just what she needed. Chris and Dom were both so helpful with answering all our questions and gave us amazing tools. Their balanced approach to training was perfect for our pup. She is so much more in control of here emotions (and she has a lot of them) and is really listening to us. We can now go on walks in our neighborhood with her loose-leash walking right by our side and she hardly ever reacts at all when she passes other dogs. She's even working toward off-leash training! Thank you so much K9 Logic!!

My sister and I adopted Butters, a Pitbull mix, when he was just a puppy, and it turned out to be the best decision we ever made. Butters has transformed into a calmer, happier, and truly incredible companion, all thanks to the exceptional work we've done with Chris from K9 Logic. We can't express our gratitude enough. Recognizing the unique responsibilities of owning a Pitbull, we aspired for Butters to be a breed ambassador. However, his high intelligence and stubbornness initially made our days with him quite exhausting. Enter Chris, and everything changed. In just three sessions, Butters blossomed, becoming a different dog right after our very first training session. What sets Chris apart is that he didn't just focus on training Butters; he also emphasized reshaping the dynamics between Butters and us, his owners. Chris's ability to seamlessly communicate various training methods proved invaluable for us to continue the work at home. We now feel more knowledgeable and confident as dog owners, all thanks to Chris's approach in every session. The proof is in the pudding; we regularly receive compliments on Butters' impeccable behavior when we're out in public, and this credit goes entirely to Chris's talent as a trainer. But it's not just about the training; Chris treats Butters as if he were his own, and the affection is mutual. There's no one Butters is more thrilled to see than Chris, and witnessing the special bond they share warms our hearts. We can't recommend Chris enough as a trainer. Even after our formal training sessions concluded, we still feel comfortable reaching out to him for any questions about Butters or the advice he has to offer. Chris is a true gem of a person and an absolute rockstar when it comes to dog training. Thank you, Chris, for everything you've done for us and Butters!

K-9 Logic is a game-changer! Their 8-week training program has transformed the life of our dog Moshi, a 2-year-old Australian Cattle dog. Before K-9 Logic, Moshi and I had tried a couple of trainers, but none of them were able to address Moshi's reactive behavior towards his triggers. K-9 Logic's approach is different. They are caring and genuinely want to help you and your dog. With Moshi's anxious and fearful behavior, such as lunging, excessive barking, and nipping it was a challenge for me to take him out for walks. Moshi is still fearful when meeting new people and dogs but with the tools and skills we’ve gained from training it has helped me help Moshi overcome some of those barriers. The training program's impact extends beyond Moshi, I feel more confident and less anxious when handling him. Still a work in progress but Moshi has become a bit more confident and so have I. Big thanks to everyone at K-9 Logic, especially Dom who guided us throughout these 8 weeks!

The trainers at k9 logic are phenomenal. They're extremely knowledgeable and patient. More importantly you can tell that they love dogs. I had the great opportunity of working with Dom. My puppy, Winnie, absolutely fell in love with him. He was gentle and patient with her as she went through obedience training. I recommend k9 logic and recommend working with Dom!

Chris the owner goes above and beyond. He sets up your dog well for the board and train so they can come back home polished. I’m the type of person that wants to know why and Chris never has a problem explaining. Training was not cheap but it was quality ?

Our trainer, Dom, was so patient with not only our pup but also with us! We signed up for 8 sessions and in such a short time, he's really helped us learn how to use our tools properly and effectively. Prior to K9 logic, Nala would walk to a taut leash and would have difficulty with obedience when there's distractions around. Now, she is walking so well on AND off leash and her obedience has significantly improved! In addition, Dom taught us how to control her jumping on visitors, how to leave things when asked to (i.e. tennis balls which are her weakness), place and recall when off-leash! Most importantly, Nala loved Dom and was excited to see him every session (beyond excited, actually). He was always so caring and understanding of her needs and ours, and never hesitated to show Nala some love! Thanks so much Dom! We're so grateful for you and all of your hard work! We highly recommend Dom for other dog parents...you won't regret it!!!

The staff at K9 Logic did an amazing job working with my dog. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly, and customer service is excellent. I don't trust many people to watch my dog, but I feel comfortable leaving him here.

This is gonna be a long one... Brought my dog here in the past when he was a puppy for an obedience board and train, but we were told that he's 2 weeks too old for the puppy program. So we were forced to do the full board and train program. Chris was very informative during the orientation and introduction appointment and showed us that he was able to do what we wanted in training our dog. We wanted to teach our dog off leash recall and healing. We decided to go with the 5 week board and train program after he said that he'll work on recall and heeling on walks. He had also promised us to send weekly update videos and keep us informed on how he's doing. We thought nothing of it as it was our first time doing something like this. We asked for an update video a few days in whether it was a 10 sec video or even a 30 sec one, but we're told that the trainers are busy and can't do anything like that. What do you mean? You record videos for your social media all the time. Just record a clip and send it to us as worried and curious owners. After harassing the front desk (who by the way was extremely rude) for updates via email and phone calls; Chris gave us a call and told us that if we were going to to keep calling asking for updates that he would have to stop the board and train because we were "asking for too much". So we shut our mouths and decided to just listen to him and trust him. We received a total of 4 update videos ranging from 20-45 seconds in the span of 5 weeks. Come pickup day for our dog we were excited to finally see him And see how much he had learned. This fucking guy taught him sit, down, stay, heel, and up in the 5 weeks he's been there. We asked for a demonstration without the e-collar and he stated that the e-collar is "insurance". You're telling me 5 weeks of vigorous training and you still can't get him to perform those basic commands without an e-collar? Okay chris whatever you say. Within the week of our dog being home we had to take him to the vet because he had lost weight, was sluggish, and contracted an infection of some kind. He was prescribed 2 weeks worth of antibiotics. Didn't come from us Chris! When we called and complained about that he offered us a free group training session and then proceeded to give me shit for bringing my dog with a harness instead of an e collar and slip lead. We could just be the outlier in this scenario and had a bad experience, but we referred a friend of ours there too who also had the same experience as us and hated every second of it. Waste of thousands of dollars and empty promises. Hated very second of it and don't know how all these other families are trusting him with their pets. TLDR; Don't bring your dog here.

We can't recommend K9 enough and regret not working with them sooner on our 1 yr old keeshond, Huck. We did the 8-week private training with Chris and our relationship with Huck has changed completely. Prior to training here, we couldn't take Huck on walks without him shrieking, pulling and lunging when he saw other dogs, even when we had his favorite treats and him being on Prozac. Most walks ended with high anxiety for both dog and owner and if K9 wasn't a solution, we were going to have to rehome him. Thankfully, Chris immediately realized Huck just needed proper training and that he is highly receptive to and enjoys training. The slip knot was the main tool we used and we focused a lot of our attention on polishing the heel and place commands, which taught Huck to increase his focus on us during walks and pay less attention to other dogs. We took one session to the dog park to test out Huck's training with Chris observing Huck in the wild. It's amazing how two simple routines completely changed our dog. Towards the end of class, we introduced the ecollar to transition to off leash (which is a bonus that we never even fathomed for Huck). We're grateful to K9, Chris and the whole team and will be staying in touch for future training.
