Love, love, love this place! Pro tip - park in the back rather than on Crenshaw Blvd, mainly because there are more spots there. This is the Chinese food that I'm most used to and it is a comfort food. The salad was great and the fried chicken even better. I always get take out since it looks like there is minimal seating in the restaurant, but that's okay. The ladies working there always seem happy and aim to please. Great place!

This is my go to when I want some fresh food without the heat lamps. I always get to-go or order delivery and the food is fresh and hot every time. Reminds me of back home made to order. Love the pork fried rice and the huge pork egg rolls.

I rate this a 4.5 rounded to a 5. The food was tasty and affordable. It is the closest Chinese restaurant to where I live that serves Cantonese style food. I heard about the egg foo young online. So hard to find it in LA. It did not disappoint. I really enjoyed it and I will be back. I got the lunch special egg foo young ($9.95) and a small egg flower soup ($3). They don't put corn starch in the soup, so it looks different but it was very tasty. The servers were fast, friendly and attentive. It's a hole in the wall place and it's been around since 1965. Three generations have run the place. I'm sad that this is the first time I've been here but I will now be a regular.

It's a rare instant when take-out food can transport you back to your childhood. I'm originally from Cleveland, Ohio and this is the type of Chinese food I grew up eating with my family. I'm just learning now that this style is "Cantonese," so I'm grateful to the other reviewers for the illumination. I'm not sure how "authentic" it is, but it's probably more like Cantonese via Mott Street, NYC. As soon as I saw the egg foo young on the menu I knew I had to try this joint, and I wasn't disappointed. Along with that dish, I got the BBQ Pork Fried Rice and both were close to perfect. Some may complain about the grease. My thought is, if you want healthy Chinese food go find an upscale fusion restaurant in Malibu. However, if you want to get down on some urban Chinese grub with a can of pop and then immediately need a nap, Kim's is your place. Savory, smokey, and richly addictive, Kim's is the epitome of Chinese soul food. I will be a regular customer.

Broccoli with oyster sauce was delicious and crunchy the way I prefer my broccoli. Veggie egg rolls also good. Now the chicken fried rice is not something I would recommend it needs a lot of help with flavor and the choice of chicken.
